Volgens de gevraagde tijd wordt u opgehaald bij uw hotel in Aswan en rijdt u naar het zuiden van Aswan, wat ongeveer 3 uur rijden is om te genieten van de Abu Simbel-dagtour vanuit Aswan met een voertuig met airconditioning. De twee tempels van Abu Simbel worden met hun unieke stijl beschouwd als de meesterwerken van het oude Egypte. Ze weerspiegelen de glorie en grootsheid van het nieuwe koninkrijk. De Egyptische regering en UNESCO besloten samen te werken om deze tempels te redden van de overstroming. De Tempel van Ramses II was gewijd aan de vier universele goden Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re en aan Ramses II zelf. De grote tempel van Abu Simbel wordt ook wel de Zonnetempel van Ramses II genoemd. De tempel van koningin Nefertari wordt ook wel de Tempel van Hathor genoemd, die de vrouw was van de Zonnegod, dus op symbolische wijze zijn de twee tempels, die van Ramses II en die van Nefertari, breng Ramses II, Nefertari, Hathor en de Zonnegod samen als één. Breng daar ongeveer 3 uur door en neem dan de terugweg naar Aswan.

Mary was a fantastic guide, she used photos as visual aids, pointed out interesting places along the - really long - ride to Abu Simbel & made the whole excursion a fun adventure, keeping us coherent with excellent coffee sources. Our driver was competent & very pleasant, so overall a tour well worth taken.

We did this trip with Mr Emad Aiad as our guide. We were so lucky to have exactly him! We did many tours in Egypt, but he was the best guide we had! Very professional, punctual and courteus, he absolutely loves his job and this makes a difference in the way he is doing his guiding. Besides the interesting facts he told us about the temples, he mixed in funny stories, or details from his own life and experience, advice, he never got tired of taking the best possible photos of us, he was taking care of our needs...everything was great! We really reccommend Emo Tours and Mr Aiad!

WOW! Honestly, pictures do not do justice just how "grand" the Abu Simbel temples are. I can go on and on, but at the end of the day, one has to go an see to appreciate the "grandness" of the temples. It is worth the time and trip. Our tour guide Maggie (she was our tour guide the previous day) gave us a detailed history lesson of the two temples and a "crush course" on how to identify the writings (hierogliphic) and understand the drawings inside the temple. She did a very good job. We actually used what we learned from her in our future temple visits.

While it was a long drive from Aswan, the trip was well worth it. The temples for Ramses II and his wife Neferteri were incredibly well preserved and our guide Mary was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. Communications with the company before the tour were managed well. Would highly recommend the tour, the company and the guide.

Mary was great! We had a tour with her the day prior and decided to keep her for this tour as well. The car was exceptional for the long ride and her knowledge was very insightful. We would absolutely recommend this tour (one of our favorites after visiting Luxor and Cairo/Giza) it is well worth the drive.

We had a wonderful time with the guide Emed from Aswan to Abu Sinbel. He was funny, friendly, knowledgeable and super kind. Through him, we learned the Egyptian history in a enjoyable way. Highly recommend.

We booked our tour for 29 Nov 2021. Our guide came to pick us up right on time and even made sure to call the room to inform us that he arrived. This guide was Mr Emad Aiad. Let me tell you that from the very first minutes with him we felt that we had great luck to have him for this tour. First of all he absolutely loves his job and he is passionate about it, and he has been doing it for more than 20 years! This says a lot about the experience and knowledge he has! His enthusiasm and good mood are contagious, but not only that-he made us feel very special, he brought a sense of personal touch and we never felt like we are just "another customers". Apart from the general interesting facts about Abu Simbel, he shared also some lesser known stories, taught us how to read certain hieroglyphs and also shared personal stories from his life, job experience and family. He answered all kind of questions we had and never got tired to take care after our needs (including recommending the best falafel in town, which advise came absolutely true!) This made us feel we made friends beyond just the tour experience! We absolutely reccommend booking with Emo Tours and if possible, ask for Mr Emad!

The guide, Ahmed, was not knowledgeable at all. His English was very poor so he spoke very little, but even that was not correct as we have found out later. He slept most of the time on both ways. The drivers were good. On the positive side Ahmed didn’t push any shop visits on us. He also helped us to order shaurma back in Aswan as we had limited time for lunch

If you already know this place well, you could just hire the driver . It is a short trip. Make sure wake up early to avoid the crowd.

The tour is a must go if ur in Egypt just NOT with them, they do not reply to your messages and not only that the day of the tour we didn’t know if they were going to be at the train station, we arrived from a 14 hour trip and we couldn’t find this guy, we thought that they didn’t show up after a couple of minutes we found the guy he had a sign on his hand NOT with my name with the tour company really? I schedule over 11 tours with different company’s how could I remember this company name? Anyways the drive was 3 hours each way the driver didn’t say a word at all. And NO music it was a little crazy.
