The tour was really good! Our guide Ahmed was super nice! The driver drove really fast and at some points it was uncomfortable but still we arrived in only 2.5 hours which was nice.

Volgens de gevraagde tijd wordt u opgehaald bij uw hotel in Aswan en rijdt u naar het zuiden van Aswan, wat ongeveer 3 uur rijden is om te genieten van de Abu Simbel-dagtour vanuit Aswan met een voertuig met airconditioning. De twee tempels van Abu Simbel worden met hun unieke stijl beschouwd als de meesterwerken van het oude Egypte. Ze weerspiegelen de glorie en grootsheid van het nieuwe koninkrijk. De Egyptische regering en UNESCO besloten samen te werken om deze tempels te redden van de overstroming. De Tempel van Ramses II was gewijd aan de vier universele goden Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re en aan Ramses II zelf. De grote tempel van Abu Simbel wordt ook wel de Zonnetempel van Ramses II genoemd. De tempel van koningin Nefertari wordt ook wel de Tempel van Hathor genoemd, die de vrouw was van de Zonnegod, dus op symbolische wijze zijn de twee tempels, die van Ramses II en die van Nefertari, breng Ramses II, Nefertari, Hathor en de Zonnegod samen als één. Breng daar ongeveer 3 uur door en neem dan de terugweg naar Aswan.

Abu Simbel tour from Aswan
We were able to get quickly in touch with Emo Tours to confirm our booking details which was very helpful as we had to book the day before. Our tour guide Waleed (Nubian Aswan) was great! He gave us a lot of information about Aswan on the route and was able to answer all of our questions at Abu Simbel. We booked with Emo again the next day with the same tour guide and once again had a great time! Would recommend to others looking for a good and affordable experience.

Excellent tour company. Very good communication. Emad Aiad was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We enjoyed spending the day with him. Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful trip to Abu-Simbel
Our guide Nermein was very knowledgeable and hospitable. Enjoyed the tour very much . Drive from Aswan to Abu-Simbel was long but our driver was excellent felt very safe.

Excellent trip to Abu Simbel!
We had a great tour! Abu Simbel is amazing and our guide, Emad, was very well-prepared, friendly, and accommodating. He showed unique points of interest all along the drive and the car was comfortable and clean. Emad was great at providing details that helped recreate what the sites were like in ancient times. He was also great at helping plan the day to avoid crowds and get the right angles for photos. Recommended!

Great alternative to flying from Aswan!
We decided against flying from Aswan to Abu Simbel and chose to hire a private car for the ride. Our driver picked us up very early with bottled water and snacks and was a very safe and gracious driver. Although it is a long drive (3.5 hours or more), I honestly enjoyed getting to see the landscape on the way south to Abu Simbel. We would have missed seeing this far southern area of Egypt in a plane, and I feel like we had an experience that few others have in these far-flung areas in the south. We did stop on the way down and back at a rest stop where they charge foreigners only for the toilet (to be expected) with expensive food, but otherwise we enjoyed a peaceful trip.

A must do in Egypt - better than the pyramids
Big thanks to my guide Walid who did a fantastic job in educating me about Abu Simbel and Ramses II. He was also a great photographer and all round brilliant guy.

Best value
We were picked up in a new car by our guide Emad Aiad and the driver. Emad was passionate, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and most importantly took great photos :) I definetely recommend this tour, especially if you choose to be picked up at 8 am as you will reach Abu Simbel at 11 and there would be no crowds. We literally had the temples to ourselves. :)
