    1 heure

    Après cela, vous visiterez les vestiges de l'ancien village des ouvriers à Deir el-Medina. C'était le domicile d'artistes, d'artisans et d'ouvriers qui ont construit et orné les tombeaux royaux de la Vallée des rois.

Unforgettable Luxor Day Tour with Excellent Service & Amazing Sites!

The tour was absolutely incredible! My 68-year-old father and I had a fantastic time, though there’s quite a bit of walking, so be sure to wear good shoes. Our guide, Abdo, was fantastic—he provided tons of information at each site and kept the tour fun and engaging. He even tested our memory with questions about what we saw and learned, which added a nice interactive element. Abdo is also a great photographer and captured many great memories of my father and me. The West Bank is a must-see, with awe-inspiring tombs and amazing history. It’s such a cool experience to walk around ancient history. At the Valley of the Kings, we paid extra for the tombs of King Tutankhamun and Ramses V and VI, and it was well worth it. The preservation of the colors and seeing Tutankhamun's real mummy in person was incredibly cool. I recommend starting this tour early as it can get very hot in the afternoon, even during winter. The tour covers nearly all of the West Bank, and the guide and driver were flexible, letting us stop at a local restaurant near Colossi Memnon for a delicious meal. The restaurant was a family business, and all the food was grown fresh across the street—we loved it! Afterward, we added the Luxor and Karnak temples to our day, which made for a long but highly rewarding experience, as we got to see everything in one go. We really appreciated the flexibility of the guide and driver and would definitely recommend them. The driver was also super kind and even treated us to ice cream, which was a lovely touch! The car was new, had a USB port to charge devices, and was always well air-conditioned. Everything was well-organized, and the transportation was comfortable. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Luxor—it’s an unforgettable experience!

Highly recommended

Khaled was my tour guide. He was very polite, respectful and very knowledgeable about the area and sites. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable. He is a native of the area and has a great perspective. His English was amazing and very easy to understand! I really enjoyed all of the sites and the driver was also really great. The ride was very smooth, really nice EV too. We got to see the beautiful countryside by the Nile River and various towns. I really don't have any criticism, although I will say that maybe there was one time where it would have been nice if the car was a little bit cooler/AC as the day got a little hotter but that's really stretching for a criticism LOL. It was really a great 👍

Do NOT book

Absolutely NOT recommended. Picked up 30min late, Tour guide spoke English (but not that easy to understand). I was female solo traveller, and it was a truly awful experience - tour guide continually tried to and did frequently grope me. He would not take no for an answer. He took me to some of the places on tour, but not all stops as listed. At tombs given 5 minutes, everything rushed, had no respect for me. Was dragged round at pace, and taken only to places with no queues, so missed key attractions. In the attractions, taken to remote spots, and then told some weird and wonderful information, often involving highly inappropriate sexual references, including personal sexual references involving himself and me, alongside trying to grope me at every possible opportunity. Was taken to an Alabaster shop, which was not on the itinerary, and that was almost the longest stop nearly of all the places. I did not want to buy anything, but was told he was taking a break and I should take one too, and look round more. Tour should have been about 8 hours, but was done in about 3.5 hours for everything, including the time taken for the Alabaster shop. Then the tour guide suddenly turned round and told me this is the tour ending now very early, and he expected me to pay him and driver a big tip. I told him this is an 8 hour tour, but he said I have seen everything and he refused to take me anywhere else. I said I had no money for a tip, as no tipping for what I experienced. Moreover, to make everyone aware the price of the tour is also a con, given very cheap cost of everything in Egypt. He got a bit nasty and said no, he is taking me to a cash machine for me to get money out for a big tip for him and the driver. I was firm and said no. He then sat on his mobile phone for a while, and didn’t talk to me, or take me anywhere. I wasn’t sure what to do, as I did not feel safe, and was trapped in a lonely isolated place with two men I did not trust. I had really wanted to end the tour, when the groping started almost at the beginning - but equally had paid all that money and had limited time in Luxor, and I just tried to minimise contact with him. I also felt very vulnerable as in remote locations, and I do not speak fluent Arabic to get help. The tour guide would not continue the tour, so I asked to be taken into Luxor and dropped off at a busy location for my safety. Again, there was much insistence he take me to a cash machine, I was adamant no. He then tried to convince me to take them all for lunch and pay for it. Again, I was firm and said no. The driver was not involved in any part of the negative experience, although I didn’t know what they were discussing in Arabic. Eventually I was dropped off in Luxor, at the location I requested. Again tips were asked for and I said no, but did give the driver a tiny amount, given his lack of involvement. It was the tour guide that was the problem. I did go to the Tourism Police, but when I went there were only men, and I did not feel this was necessarily safe. Egypt is a beautiful country, but it is the capital of scams and I am told that many locals take advantage of the online platforms to advertise tours, because they know that foreigners think booking online guarantees will hopefully guarantee a proper experience. However, in Egypt I would say you are likely better off finding a taxi driver you Trust (having had prior good experiences) and negotiating a trip. Nearly all the tours online in Egypt are private tours, and I think this is deliberate, as scammers can then go to work much more easily on a limited number of people. I do not recommend Egypt for solo female travellers. I have travelled alone extensively around the world, and in Egypt it was a misery.

22/01/2025 West bank

Valley of the Kings with Roshdy

Overall, the experience with Roshdy was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about all the sights and was accomodating with all of our requests. His restaurant recommendation for lunch was exceptional and his driver was also very good.
