Great for star gazing
Basically the best part is the jeep safari and the stars.....rest is peripheral and honestly a bit boring.....lots of sitting round. waiting. The camel trek is 10 metres there and 10 metres back. Driver was a good laugh. It was worth the money, would have prefered more time star gazing.

Tour operator really does not matter. All the same.
The tour operator really does not matter. We booked a supposedly high quality one (via TripAdvisor) and then met with six other operators at a meeting point. From there depending on language, people were divided, and we all went off to the "bedouin" village. Really just a hut and the touristic setup to cater for a 3min camel ride and sitting in some make shift booths for the BBQ dinner. After that all (together ac. 50 people) gazed through the same three telescopes with the English and German speaking guide explaining everything. And back home. So nothing to complain, but the actual tour operator does not matter.
Oh, and when not booking via platforms you can probably save a lot of money as these platforms take about a third of the profit.

Great Star gazing but be warned...
I went on this excursion back in November. I had a great time BUT ...BE WARNED...the vehicle they use is NOT a jeep. They used an old Toyota Land Cruser for my excursion. The back of the vehicle was fitted with two benches and they packed 8 of us into the back with no seat belts. It was not safe and I didn't feel comfortable at all, we also got stuck in the sand for about 40 minutes.
On the upside, the star gazing portion was beautiful. We got to use their telescopes to see the planets and stars. The guides were also great and very knowledgeable. We had dinner in the dessert as well which was surprisingly very nice, food was great.
Getting to the desert was terrible but once we got there it was quite nice

NYE stars.
NYE trip as single female with 2 young children. Jeep safari is the journey into the desert and the experience of this depends entirely on the driver and passengers. Our driver was happily off road with music, laughter, discussion but one passenger was unhappy so his approach adjusted to accommodate which in turn left the other disappointed at driving normally again. The experience with the Bedouin family is beautiful and again - is what you make of it. My children engaged with their children and they accompanied us up the mountain which was lovely. The views are incredible and our astronomy guide was good humoured and very interesting. The time at the telescopes is brief but fascinating - you should be aware the pics of this are taken with phones adjusted and zoomed in. You see things as clearly but smaller by eye and equally amazing! The food was lovely - cooked safely and with no issue. There is a toilet but it is dark and no tissue so take some and a small light or phone torch if needed. We were blessed to have a great group with us and made friends on the trip which made the evening extra special. The camels we encountered were easily the best looked after throughout our stay in Egypt. A special evening. X

Amazing Stargazing view, a must try experience
This was one of most memorable experience we had with an amazing scenic view of dessert, enjoyable camel ride and a beautiful sunset View. The jeep safari ride from the hotel to dessert was really fun.
The most mesmerizing moment of the trip was stargazing where we had an great telescopic view of Planet Jupiter and Saturn and the view below the sky with all the twinkling stars was just something which we can't express in words. Guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable with astronomical information and village people were very welcoming and humble.
A must try for all the tourist coming to Hurgadha

It’s a wonderful experience! Our guide name Adham. He is knowledgeable and professional. I enjoyed the evening in the desert, watching beautiful stars over the sky.

The stars made it worth it.
Absolutely loved the stars! Our guide Adam explained everything very wel and I learned a lot! Would have liked more time under the stars though.. it was way too short. I loved seeing jupiter and saturn up close, but would have loved to see more!
Also really enjoyed the offroading part, but you have to love the thrill, cause you're being shaken all over the place. If you'd like a crazy driver, Ahmed is your man! As an offroad driver myself, he impressed me with his skills! But like I said, you have to love the thrill.
We had 2 groups, 1 german, 1 english but we were put together 90% off the time, which means we had a group of at least 30 people, which felt way too crowded for me. Why not split the group completely? It made me feel like I needed to hurry all the time, cause there was a big line behind the telescopes.
It also wasn't a romantic dinner, you had to share the tables, so most people didn't sit at the table and ate in the dark. The german guide kept explaing for the whole group, but his english was hard to follow and he talked really fast, switched to german and back to english in one sentence, which made it even harder to follow, While our english tour guide talked perfectly english and took his time. So that didnt make sense at all.
Over all I enjoyed my trip, but I would have loved it more if it was a smaller group and if we had more time under the stars.

Offroad and astronomy adventure - two in one
It was a great adventure. In addition to star watching with our astronomer guide Arabi, we enjoyed exciting offroad experience with Ahmed - a professional driver with great sense of humour. The beduin camp is hosted by a friendly family of six. Highly recommended.
