Great 2 days with Norhan in Alexandria!
Norhan at Ramasside Tours was our private guide for two days in Alexandria. We were on a cruise and booked the complete tour of the city as a private shore excursion. Since we are older, we chose to see the city over two days rather than in one long day.
We had the same team for both days and they were excellent. Norhan has a deep knowledge and love of Egyptian history and archaeology. She was able to answer all our questions about the sights we were seeing - and informed us about much more as well. Her English is good and she was extremely kind and attentive to what interested us, our preferred pace, and to our physical limitations. She ensured that we saw everything on our customized itinerary and suggested other possibilities as well.
Booking through and paying Ramasside was easy and they were very responsive to our requests for a customized tour. Their proposal exactly met our requests. Shortly before we arrived, they sent clear information about where to meet as well as the name, phone number and photo of our guide. When we reached the meeting point, Osama, their operations manager, was there to greet us and Norhan and the car arrived promptly thereafter.
The car was new and clean and our driver, Mohammed, was very good. The traffic in Alexandria is chaotic and the drivers are erratic, but we always felt safe with Mohammed at the wheel.
We would highly recommend Norhan and Ramasside Tours to anyone visiting Egypt.

Guide touristique fantastique

Book the best now!!
BOOK THIS NOW!!
We journeyed from Alexandria to Cairo, Egypt with our excellent, caring, and above-and-beyond guide, Paula.
Paula knows his Ancient Egyptian history and how to make it come alive for visitors. What’s most important, however, is that he went the extra mile to make a once-in-a-lifetime dream come true for us. After visiting the new, but not fully opened Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), we were saddened that the golden mask of King Tut had not yet arrived from the old Egyptian Museum at Cairo. Paula moved mountains to get us to Tut’s treasures after an incredible day at the Pyramids and the Sphinx!!!
We could not be more grateful to be so well cared for and considered. Thank you, Paula!!!

BOOK THIS TOUR! The best you’ll find
BOOK. THIS. EXPERIENCE!
Paula was our guide, and he completely spoiled us. From before the tour, the communication from the company was so clear & easy to understand. Paula was overly communicative, and made it so we never once questioned what the plan was or where to meet. When you book an excursion not through your cruise line, it can give some anxiety. Not with Paula-he took care of every little detail.
Being in Alexandria for only two days, we knew we had to get to Cairo. The trip was smooth, and Paula gave us facts along the drive and always kept our comfort and safety top of mind.
I was nervous about food in Egypt, as a girl with stomach problems, but Paula took us to only the best. I had incredible food with every meal, and never questioned if I was in good hands.
We visited Cairo at a time when the main museum and its artifacts are in transition from moving them from one to another. My husband and I were sad after the museum did not include King Tut’s collection—as the new museum (GEM) does not have it open yet. We talked with Paula, and this man moved MOUNTAINS, truly, to get us to the old museum (Egyptian Museum of Cairo) as well. I never have felt so cared for, listened to, and valued by a guide. This was not at all about him being in charge and following a schedule, it was about him granting wishes off our bucket list, even if it meant way more logistics on his end.
This experience was the definition of someone going above and beyond, and we are eternally grateful. Everything else along the way—the pyramids, Sphinx, museums, dinner cruises on the Nile, hotel qualify, safe & delicious food, an air conditioned bus with comfortable seating, it was flawless.
This is a company that works to show you the beauty of Egypt, not to give you a set tourist-trap itinerary. Paula could not have cared for us better than he did, and we left feeling like we got to experience everything we could have ever dreamed of.

Special day at Alexandria
Today was a special day at Alexandria. We began the journey with a two hours car ride from Cairo where we admire the landscape. Then we go to the Cathacombs where we discovered a mixture of sometimes Egyptian and especially Greek-Roman mythology. Then we spent a special time at the Alexandrina Bibliotheca before a special lunch in a local restaurant where we discovered a special taste of Alexandrian food. Finally we went to the Qaitbay Citadel. Our guide Ahmed is a warmful person. Even if it was not easy with the trafic jam and we were afraid that we wouldn’t have enough time to visit, he spent the time we needed at the Citadel which was appreciated.

Alexandria at Night!
My husband and I had a free afternoon in Alexandria. Frankly we were a bit overwhelmed by the traffic, the crowds and mostly Arabic-only signage. Enter Waleem and we were completely put at ease. His Alexandria at Night Tour helped us to wrap our heads around Alexandria’s 3000+ year history. He focused on the city’s unique religious differences and cultural unity by spot lighting churches, mosques and urban moments we never would have found on our own. And just when we got peckish he took us to a fresh fish restaurant with a view exactly like (because it was the same view) the one Alexander the Great saw when he first found a sleepy fishing village that he would transform into the greatest city in the ancient world!
Waleem’s tour was worth every cent and we will be replaying our evening long after we return home!

Alexandria FULL day tour
The tour definitely exceded our expectations. It was great and Mohamed our tour guide is very knowlegeable about egyptian, ronan and greek history, he also made the tour fun. Kudos to the driver as well. Tour was worth it, only need to be aware the meeting point is outside the main gate of the Port of Alexandria - 3 minute walk. Definitely recomend Mohamed to be your guide. Thanks for everything!!
