Egypt Nile cruise
Booking a Nile cruise through sites like Viator or TripAdvisor is like playing Russian roulette. You think you’re booking one boat, and you end up on another – it’s rarely the same as shown in the pictures. In our case, the boat was older and of lower quality than advertised. That was disappointing… but in the end, it didn’t matter. And that’s entirely thanks to one person: our guide, King Mina.
Mina, without exaggeration, was the highlight of the whole trip. He’s incredibly friendly, respectful, and has an outstanding knowledge of Egyptian history – he has a PhD in the subject. He explains everything clearly and with passion, and he’s always attentive to the group’s needs. If we wanted to change something in the itinerary, he was flexible. If we needed help with anything, he was always there.
For example, he helped me exchange money safely when we didn’t know where to go. My girlfriend’s birthday happened to fall during the cruise, and Mina even helped organize a surprise celebration on the boat with cake and live music - something we’ll never forget.
Throughout the trip, he took us to several local shops, like stone and papyrus stores, which were truly interesting. He was always in a good mood, full of positive energy, laughing, and teaching us Egyptian words when we asked. He even helped me order a custom polo shirt with my name written in hieroglyphs!
So yes… the boat wasn’t the one we booked, and it was frustrating to feel like we didn’t get what we paid for. But Mina completely turned things around. He made the journey memorable, fun, and genuinely enriching. We came home with beautiful memories – and above all, grateful to have met him.
If you decide to take this cruise, try to book directly with the cruise company – and make sure your guide is King Mina. He truly makes all the difference.

Comfortable and enriching experience
The cruise was very nice, the tour guide Mina was highly knowledgeable and very attentive. Food was generally good. I recommend this once in a lifetime experience to anyone.

Amazing tour with a great guide
Amazing tour! The cruise itself was lovley with great service, comfortable rooms and good food. The main highlight was our guide Mina, he was knowledgable, entertaining and very accommodating. He was always ready to help with any requests and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. A brilliant tour which I’d highly recommend!

Très bonne expérience
C'était incroyable ! Malgré les réveils matinaux pour visiter le temple, tout est très bien organisé, et on a aussi le temps de se reposer et de profiter du bateau.
La chambre était très confortable avec une vue imprenable, et bien sûr le personnel était très attentionné et serviable.
La nourriture était exquise, à l'exception du petit-déjeuner servi lorsqu'on part tôt pour les excursions qui ne durent que deux jours ; pour le reste, l'expérience a été excellente.

L'expérience globale a été bonne, que ce soit en ce qui concerne la croisière, la nourriture, les paysages ou les lieux visités. Cependant, l'organisation laisse beaucoup à désirer. Le guide n'a jamais été avec nous pendant tout le séjour, seulement le premier jour. Ensuite, ils envoyaient chaque jour un guide différent, certains meilleurs que d'autres. Le pire, c'est qu'ils ont menti sur l'heure de début de la visite. J'ai choisi 10h comme heure de début, heure à laquelle je devais être pris en charge à mon hôtel. Ce jour-là, j'ai reçu un message du guide à 8h20 me disant d'être prêt à 8h45, car la visite commençait plus tôt.
Ce n'est pas possible, ni de jouer avec le temps des gens. En tant que touriste, tout est programmé, et si la réservation sur le site web indique 10h, il est 10h, et non 8h45. Au final, j'ai dû manquer toutes les activités du premier jour en raison de leur manque de communication et de sérieux. Ils ont refusé de me rembourser ces activités et m'ont offert à la place une visite gratuite de la communauté nubienne.
Cependant, on n'est pas satisfait. Sinon, tout était parfait, conforme à mes attentes.

4 días intensos por el Nilo: gran atención y paisajes increíbles.
Hacer un crucero por el Nilo fue una experiencia inolvidable. El barco estaba en excelentes condiciones, las piezas cómodas y limpias, y el personal ofreció una atención muy amable durante todo el viaje. Además, venden alcohol a bordo, lo que permite disfrutar aún más de los atardeceres navegando por el río.
Eso sí, recomiendo hacer este viaje con mucha energía: es una aventura intensa. Para visitar los templos y sitios arqueológicos, hay que levantarse muy temprano —en promedio a las 4:00 a.m.—, ya que las excursiones comienzan con el primer sol para evitar el calor del mediodía.
Un punto a tener en cuenta es que el precio del crucero no incluye las entradas a los sitios turísticos ni las propinas, por lo que es importante considerar ese gasto adicional en el presupuesto.
En resumen, es una excelente forma de recorrer el Alto Egipto de forma cómoda, con paisajes únicos y visitas guiadas que valen totalmente el esfuerzo.

Excellente opportunité de croisière
Grande expérience en croisière. Le guide M. Khaled est très sympathique et gentil. Il a disposé chaque vue voyant très bien et confortablement. Les chambres cabine en croisière sont plus grandes et propres. La nourriture et le service est également très bon.
