Highlights of Cairo Tour
On Nov.18th I attended the Highlights of Cairo tour and had Bossi as my tour guide. She conducted the best tour on my trip hands down! Bossi was very patient and very attentive to us during the tour. Bossi was was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited which made for an even greater experience. If you really want to experience a country a tour with Bossi is a must! I will continue to do business with this company because of experiences that people like Bossi provide. Great customer service, thanks again Bossi!!

FANTASTIC DAY
After the visit to the pyramids we were waiting for our private guide Jordi the Egyptian to take us to Menphis, Sarnah and the red pyramid, passing through the school of carpets and papyri. To finish dinner in a restaurant opposite the pyramids, the day could not be more complete and full of pleasant surprises.
It was a great success to be accompanied by Jordi the Egyptian.

The trip was nice in general, the tour...

The trip was nice in general, the tour guide Olfat were very organized, friendly and knowledgeable. Food were very nice and tasty. The only comment is the time for Khan El Khalili was shorter than expected for those who want to spend more time there and walk in Al Moaaz street maybe it is better to end the trip there and go back to your hotel at your own later.

Amazing day for a very low price!
I booked this tour at short notice because I wanted to see the egyptian museum and I was happy to include the Mosque and the Bazaar, but I did not want another full day tour or include the pyramids as we already saw those. So I thought this is a perfect tour for our last day in Egypt.
I honestly did not expect much because the price per person is so amazingly low but in the end, it was one of the best tours we had with Emo Tours and our guide Ahmed.
He picked us up on time in our hotel lobby and we went to the Mosque of Muhammed Ali Pasha at first. Our driver was waiting outside with the most modern car we had during our time, but unfortunately I do not know the driver's name.
In the seat pockets we already had a bottle of water and pineapple juice (yummie!) each.
His German was amazingly fluent and he was super funny and joked around which was really making us comfortable.
The Mosque itself and the citadel of Saladin were our first stop. The grounds are so beautiful and the morning sun made its best appearance to give us a good time.
I was quite shocked that I was the only woman to cover her arms, legs and hair with a hijab while other tourists were there in hot pants and showing their shoulders and hair. They were obviously allowed to enter like this, but can you all please have some respect for this building and the religion. I am not muslim myself, but I respect their views if I enter a religious site for my own sake.
Our guide told us a lot about the outside and inside and we had a great view over Cairo.
We then proceeded to the egyptian museum with lots of tourists already. It was really warm inside as only the mummies rooms and the room for King Tutanchamun had A/C. Nevertheless, it is filled with treasures and amazing things and our guide tried to show us the most important things. I also bought a photo ticket to keep some memories and extra tickets for the mummies rooms (all other entries are already included in the price you pay). All in all, amazing experience.
We then had lunch at some kind of "tourist restaurant" as some of the people we saw in the museum were joining us there, arriving with their tour bus while we arrived earlier with our private vehicle. I think it was called "Bonne soirée" (though it was only noon hehe).
Our guide left us two alone to eat from the buffet there. It was absolutely amazing, with a huge variety to choose from. They had potatoes and rice, fish for my father and even fried chicken for me. Vegetables, hot and cold and also a variety of desserts were served up. They served fresh mango juice (I love it, my favourite drink during my time in Cairo) and all kinds of canned drinks. It was very delicious and we were happy that we ate there.
After that and our last stop of the day, we were driven to Khan el Khalili Bazaar. I am not sure how this is usually handled as we told our guide Ahmed that we have been on the Bazaar the night before to see all the architecture. We therefore already knew the history of this place and only wanted to shop for souvenirs.
So he told us that he will be right behind us but we should make our own experience in negotiating and seeing all the shops have to offer. I was really pleased that he did not take us "to a special friend's shop" or similar. We were free to choose any shop we liked, giving us all the time we needed.
We really had fun there. I am pretty sure we still paid too much for the little souvenirs although we negotiated very well, but these guys need to make a living as well and I am not mad because it was really nice.
After that we were brought back to the hotel in the early afternoon.
I would like to thank both the driver and our guide Ahmed for making our last day in Cairo an amazing experience. I honestly have no idea how we paid such a low price and ended up seeing so much and even having a great lunch.
Please everyone, book this tour with Emo Tours as it is a really great value for your money.
I felt safe at all times, really comfortable with the guide and the driver who navigated us safely through the crazy Cairo traffic.

Incredible time with Ahmed Tonsi
I cannot recommend this tour enough. The sites, especially the Egyptian Museum, are really important to have a guide to get important context. Ahmed (Tonsi) went above and beyond, and is clearly very knowledgeable. He answered any questions that we had and made sure we felt welcome in Egypt. I especially enjoyed getting an overview of all the Egyptian dynasties as well as learning about Egypt's current history. Overall, I had a lot of fun and got a great impression of Egypt through this tour as well as our guide and driver.

Ahmed Tonsi - Brought culture, learning, savings, and the real Cairo and Eqypt to us.
My wife and I loved learning about Cairo during our honeymoon. This was our second day with Ahmed Tonsi and it kept up to the first, this is a tall order considering the first was a day at the Giza pyramids. Again, Ahmed Tonsi went above and beyond. Every single attraction he had the tickets ready and waiting with no delay so we were able to get in immediately. He ran interference so we never had to worry about vendors pushing too hard. He handled any and all tipping (which is a huge part of the culture) so we didn't have to stress about it. He haggled on our behalf far more effectively than we could have. All in all his entire approach was to make our Honeymoon unforgettable and as stress free as possible and he most definitely succeeded in that! He brought us through the Cairo Museum, the Citadel, and The Bazaar and throughout it all gave us all the pertinent details that he thought we would want to know and was infinitely patient with all of our MANY questions. I also personally appreciated that if there was something he didn't know about a random statue I asked about, he would take a photo and consult with people until he could give us an answer.
Most importantly I felt like I was touring the home town city of a friend giving us history and personal insights rather than just a tour guide. He was always more than happy to accommodate the endless amounts of photos we wanted to take and introduced us to a more genuine Cairo than I think many visitors get to experience. We have now been traveling Egypt for approximately a week and Ahmed Tonsi and our experiences with him have been the level upon which everything else has been measured.

Ahmed Tonsi - Best Tour Guide Ever for an Unforgettable Introduction to Cairo
This tour was our second and final tour in Cairo before we continued on our journey. This is also the second day with had the fantastic tour guide, Ahmed Tonsi (Tonsi for short) with the great driver Khaled with Emo Tours.
Tonsi was so friendly, personable, and knowledgeable with just about everything. We not only learned so much int he Egyptian Museum, we learned so much about the culture, specifically about the mosques at the Citadel and Islam. Since this is a different culture than we are used to, we had very specific and personal questions, and Tonsi was open and honest about answering all of them. We gained a much greater understanding and appreciation for the Egyptian people on this tour. I also wanted to make sure we were being respectful and appropriate since we weren't too familiar about the day-to-day Egyptian culture and Tonsi helped show us what was best in terms of clothing and behavior, along with reasoning behind it.
For the second day in a row, Tonsi helped us haggle and navigate Cairo while introducing us to the best and most authentic Egyptian food and stores. At the bazaar he showed us the one hidden location to purchase souvenirs at a fair price that required no haggling. The one thing I wanted was a Christmas ornament that they didn't have at this particular store and Tonsi went above and beyond to track one down on his own so we wouldn't get upcharged dealing with the vendors ourselves. It took about a half hour, but he finally found one. We were so appreciative.
This tour is most definitely worth it because current history is just as important as ancient history and this tour is a fantastic way to learn about Egyptian culture and practices. We had the time of our life, but it was only as special as it was because of our tour guide, Tonsi.

Awesome tour, visiting iconic buildings and places in Cairo
Big thanks to our guide and driver. It was awesome visiting the Egyptian museum and so glad the we had a second chance to visit this place early , as during the second tour, many of the pieces had been moved across to the New Egyptian museum - hint ; wait to visit the new museum when it opens is best. The Citadel and Mosque were also good to see, but the Khan Khalili bazaar is best visited later in the day when many more shops would be open - but it was great to see some of the architecture still remaining. Hint : Would not visit Cairo during Ramadan time again.
