Pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Travel to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit President Sadat Museum and visit the open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. Our guide will explain the design of the library from outside, you will have a chance for some photo stops. Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays ,Saturdays & in public holidays. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.
Visiting the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock
You will also drive by Pompay's Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)
We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria's Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that we will not be visiting the interior of these sites but will enjoy an external view while our guide shares insights into their historical significance.

Continue your tour by passing through the oldest market area in Mansheya and see the traditional womens’ markets (zan’et etsetat) with very thin and narrow streets, gold market also exists here where everyone buys their wedding and engagement jewellery.

The car will then transport you to the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, allowing for a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.Walk by the oldest funfair in Egypt
Opposite is the corniche and the old harbour where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop.
Once in Montaza Gardens, commonly known as the Love Garden (all romantic couples and families go there) you will visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as walk along the famous Montaza bridge and reach the Tea Palace island and see the royal beaches of the queens. Then travel in comfort back to your hotel in Cairo.

We had a fantastic day! The guide and driver were on time, and we were even surprised to have a private car despite having booked a small group tour. Our guide, Karim, was wonderful; he provided us with lots of information in excellent French and was very warm and welcoming to the children! The lunch included in the tour was delicious. We highly recommend this experience!

We organised a trip from Alexandria to see German, Italian and Commonwealth war cemeteries and museum in El Alamein. Our guide, Mohammed, was excellent. He had a great sense of humour and fluent English, with lots of interesting facts which informed our visit. We were able to go inside the German and Italian buildings, to fully appreciate losses on all sides.

The tour guide is nice and well explained. The car was so rotten, worn and old that there was no room for feet. Because it was a long distance, more than six hours back and forth, very uncomfortable, nine people crammed into such a small van that the seats were too spaced apart to move their feet. The beachside restaurant for lunch is very good, the location is also good, grilled fish rice is delicious, recommended.

Of the available options, we chose the German-speaking Guide + Ride & Entrances. At the pick-up it was then said the guide will join in Alexandria. There was only one English-speaking guide who told us there is no German guide, we are supposed to listen to the audio guide we got via mail. This cheaper option was also not possible because we did not receive any mail (nothing in the spam folder either). My company can't speak English. The guide can't help us. (Can't the guide help it) So annoyed asked for a refund of the guide in retrospect and were willing to pay for travel and admissions without compensation and ticking off the topic quickly. This more than fair offer on our part was rejected by the organizer, but the driver asked meticulously for tips and stood in our way as we wanted to leave the vehicle.
