Pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Travel to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit President Sadat Museum and visit the open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. Our guide will explain the design of the library from outside, you will have a chance for some photo stops. Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays ,Saturdays & in public holidays. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.
Visiting the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock
You will also drive by Pompay's Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)
We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria's Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that we will not be visiting the interior of these sites but will enjoy an external view while our guide shares insights into their historical significance.
The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa,
Continue your tour by passing through the oldest market area in Mansheya and see the traditional womens’ markets (zan’et etsetat) with very thin and narrow streets, gold market also exists here where everyone buys their wedding and engagement jewellery.

The car will then transport you to the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, allowing for a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.Walk by the oldest funfair in Egypt
Opposite is the corniche and the old harbour where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop.
Once in Montaza Gardens, commonly known as the Love Garden (all romantic couples and families go there) you will visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as walk along the famous Montaza bridge and reach the Tea Palace island and see the royal beaches of the queens. Then travel in comfort back to your hotel in Cairo.

This was exactly what we expected and more! Our guide, Muhammed, is a PhD student studying Ancient Egyptian religious practices. This added a brilliant layer to his insight. Our group was fun! Food was delicious, and several of the stops were unexpectedly breathtaking. Well worth the long day!

Alexandria completely won me over during this experience. Between the peaceful gardens, the impressive catacombs, and the beauty of the city itself, everything felt magical from start to finish. What made it even better was how quiet and uncrowded it was — it almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. A huge part of this experience was thanks to our guide, who was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. He adapted the visit to our interests, answered all our questions, and made the entire day feel very authentic and enjoyable. And the lunch… honestly unforgettable. Delicious food with an amazing panoramic view over Alexandria — one of the best moments of the trip. I left with such a strong connection to this city, and I already know I’ll come back one day. I can only recommend this experience to anyone visiting Egypt!

I had an incredible experience in Alexandria thanks to our amazing guide. From the beautiful gardens to the fascinating catacombs, librarie,church, every part of the visit felt special. It was not crowded at all, which made it even more enjoyable — it felt like a private tour, just my friend and me. Our guide really took the time to explain everything in detail and, most importantly, to listen to our needs and interests. She was so kind and funny😍😍That made the experience feel very personal and relaxed. The highlight for me was definitely the meal — it was absolutely exceptional, with a stunning view over Alexandria. I truly fell in love with this city; it has become one of my favorite places. I highly recommend this experience, and I’m already thinking about coming back!
