The Citadel of Cairo or Citadel of Saladin (Arabic: قلعة صلاح الدين Qalaʿat Salāḥ ad-Dīn) is a medieval Islamic-era fortification in Cairo, Egypt, built by Salah ad-Din (Saladin) and further developed by subsequent Egyptian rulers. It was the seat of government in Egypt and the residence of its rulers for nearly 700 years from the 13th to the 19th centuries. Its location on a promontory of the Mokattam hills near the center of Cairo commands a strategic position overlooking the city and dominating its skyline. At the time of its construction, it was among the most impressive and ambitious military fortification projects of its time. It is now a preserved historic site, including mosques and museums.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, in Cairo, Egypt, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms. Built in 1901 by the Italian construction company Garozzo-Zaffarani to a design by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the edifice is one of the largest museums in the region. As of March 2019, the museum is open to the public. In 2020 the museum is due to be superseded by the new Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza.

This was easily the best tour I did in Cairo. My guide Ayman was so good. He is very knowledgeable and an amazing storyteller which makes it easier to digest the the information you’ll learn. He was also very accommodating and took me to places that were outside the scheduled activities. Highly highly recommend.

Wonderful tour. Our guide Mohamed was excellent and very informative. We got some excellent history and personalization on this tour. It definitely felt like a private tour with a local that is proud of his home. Food was very good. Would definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful time visiting the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, and the bazaar. Our driver Abo Heba made our ride comfortable throughout the trip. Our tour guide, Mohamed Abdelaziz, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and allowed plenty of time for pictures without feeling rushed. He also had great food suggestions! When we first arrived in Egypt, I wasn't so sure I'd come back. But after my tour with Mohamed I'm sure this will be the first of many visits to come! Thank you Mohamed, Abo, and Emo tours for creating great memories for me and my mom!

The mamdouh kamal guide and the wahid driver make a superb team. We spent a great day with them. We thank them. The guide speaks several languages, takes the time to explain and answer questions. Moreover, they are always smiling and available. I highly recommend them!!

All our guides were good, but Atteya was our favorite. Knowledgeable but low key, never felt pressured. It was a pleasure visiting the Cairo Museum and the Citadel with him. Great service with hotel pickup and drop-off - I would never want to drive in the chaotic traffic of Cairo, but these guys make it look easy. Cairo Museum is still worth it, even with many items being moved to the GEM. And the Citadel is a must see - beautiful mosques and amazing castle. Beautiful view of Cairo from the top of the castle.

This company was exceptional, we required them to assemble 10 days of trip in Egypt (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel) always on time, always clean, polite, very prepared, excellent Spanish In Luxor was Salvador, in Cairo Abraham and Omar. Exceed recommended. We were excellently served. Enterprise to look no further... there were only days if there was water in the van and other days no. But overall I loved their Service.

We started out our day with our wonderful tour guide Ola meeting us in the lobby of our hotel. On our way to the first destination Ola gave a detailed description of everything we was going to see on our tour. And Ola did not disappoint. If we ever go back to wonderful Egypt, we would 100% use this tour guide company again. Thanks again for a wonderful experience 🖤🖤
