Long, but interesting day
Vi valgte denne arrangøren fordi vi så det her var mulig å bestille starttidspunkt så sent som kl. 6:00. Men kvelden før fikk vi melding om at pickup time ville være kl 03.40. Vi fikk også vite at vi manglet riktig stempel i passene våre. Visum kjøpte vi på flyplassen ved ankomst i Sharm el Sheikh (250 $ per pers (betalte med kort), men vi hadde ikke fått vite at vi burde ha bedt om riktig stempel i passene våre. Dermed måtte vi betale en fyr til å ordne dette før vi kunne reise.
Guiden vår var flink og hyggelig, men har var samtidig guide for en annen gruppe som var italiensktalende, så han gikk stadig frem og tilbake mellom bussene. På museet tok runden omtrent dobbel så lang tid fordi vi måtte høre alt som ble sagt på både engelsk og italiensk. Vi opplevde pyramidene, museet, parfymemuseum, papyrusmuseum og båttur på Nilen. Vi hadde lest at det kanskje ville bli tid til basar, marked, gamlebyen eller et kjøpesenter, men vi ble bare kjørt til en McDonalds for å spise litt før vi ble kjørt til flyplassen. Der kom vi til gaten to timer før boardingtidspunkt. I tillegg var boarding forsinket, så det ble lang ventetid. Vi kom ikke hjem til hotellet før 23.30, så hele turen varte totalt 20 timer.

Saved my Holiday from Ruin!
We booked a tour in July 3 months before we travelled to Egypt, this was cancelled less than 12 hours before we were due to go because there was ‘no plane tickets left’ (why this wasn’t sorted months in advance I don’t know) but my sole reason for coming to Egypt was to do this tour. I contacted this company in the hope of doing it before going home in 4 days time, they managed to find us flights 48 hours from when I contacted them and they came up with nothing but solutions to any problems that did arise and they honestly saved my holiday as this has been number 1 on my bucket list for years.
So we were informed about everything to make the travelling flawless, we were picked up from outside of our hotel at 6.25 on the dot like they said, taken to the airport, explained how to get our visa to go to Cairo (I would do this online before going to Egypt as it is quite hard work when you get there and a bit stressful) and my other half even got to fly business class.
When we got to Cairo airport we were met directly outside the door by our tour guide for the day, Mario.
Mario is an absolute credit to this company, he is an Egyptologist which as far as guides on an Egypt tour go, it doesn’t get much better. He knew absolutely everything, he took us to the museum and showed up absolutely everything and didn’t even need to look at the signs etc to know what year things were from he literally knew it off the top of his head, his knowledge is incredible.
He speaks very good English and also Arabic which was a massive help through the day as we felt very safe all day long, I’m sure everyone knows the stories about Egypt but with him the slightest bit of bother and he would speak to the person without us even having to say a word it was fantastic, we were left alone.
He then took us to a nice restaurant near Giza where you had a view of the pyramids while having lunch, it was a buffet like you get in the hotels and it was pretty nice food (they even had chips for the British people if you’re anything like me you’ll have been wondering).
Next stop was the pyramids, you would have thought Mario helped build them with the amount of information he gives you, there’s the option to go inside but we didn’t but he very openly tells you the pros and cons to it. He took us to a camel ride which he doesn’t pressure you into but he is friends with the people that do them and he will arrange it all for you it’s so smooth and easy and if you’re thinking about doing it, do it, it’s an an amazing experience and it’s the only time you give your phone to anyone for photos at the pyramids and you can trust him which is fully down to Mario letting them know that they don’t mess you around.
Next stop was the perfume shop, this isn’t for everyone but you can sit down have a nice cup of tea that they offer and have a smell of some of their oils and perfumes which smell fantastic and are all natural with no alcohol in them like most big brand perfumes and aftershaves.
We then went on to the papyrus shop where they sell lots of Egyptian artwork and it’s incredible to look at it all. There’s a room out the back where if you turn the lights off it gives you a bit of a surprise (I wont spoil it for anyone as we thought it was brilliant).
After that we went to a bazaar which had lots of jewellery and souvenirs, in here I bought myself a ring with my name in hieroglyphic’s on it, they make the ring in front of you and it’s amazing to watch. On the way there he pointed out his house which felt like a nice personal touch and you sort of see the real Egypt not just the tourist fake parts.
Then we went on to the boat cruise on the Nile, this was great and he managed to get us a private boat ride for the same price as a shared one which was amazing me and my partner had a great time and he took lots of photos for us too.
After that we went to see Mohammad Ali’s mosque (not the boxer) and it’s an amazing sight to see and you could tell Mario was very passionate about it which again, was a nice personal touch to the tour.
The as our flight was a bit later (12.30am) we went to the mall to have some food before we left for the airport.
I should also mention his driver that he has for the day who was also a huge credit to the company, it felt so personal as everywhere we went one phone call from Mario and the driver was there within a minute every time.
Once we hit the airport it was again made very easy for us we landed at around 1.30am back in sharm and were greeted by a driver again to take us back to our hotel.
Overall, if you asked me to give this a star rating out of 5, it’s a 6, they have been nothing but helpful and organised and made this experience the absolute best it could possibly be and I would recommend them to anyone coming here looking to do the tours, forget everyone else, pick book tour Egypt.
And I’d just like to say a massive thank you guys!

Esperienza unica.
Piramidi da vedere Assolutamente.
Viaggio organizzato in tutto , ogni minimo spostamento. La guida Ahmed è stata eccezionale. Si vedeva proprio che era amante della storia e ti coinvolgeva con i suoi racconti. Parla molto bene in italiano. Abbiamo visitato le piramidi, il museo egizio, un negozio di oli profumati e uno dove fanno i papiri. Giro sul cammello e Nilo facoltativi ma che fanno tutti con costo extra. Consigliati.

Meraviglioso viaggio nella storia
Gita estremamente interessante, da non perdere. In 4 abbiamo prenotato la gita in aereo da Sharm con Book Tour Egypt. Agenzia estremamente seria ed affidabile. La guida che ci è stata affidata, Ahmed, persona disponibile, molto preparata e disponibile e parla perfettamente l'italiano. Il museo del Cairo è veramente interessante e ricco di reperti storici.
La gita in battello sul Nilo è da fare e permettere di vedere il Cairo dal fiume.
Consiglio vivamente questa agenzia.

Amazing
Such a beautiful experience.
Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and impressive ( he gave the tour in English, Arabic and Italian catering to all participants), he really knows his craft and takes pride in his culture.
The flight from Sharm to Cairo was smooth and hassle free and the rep was ready and waiting for us when we landed. We had a full day of activities from the pyramids/Sphinx to old Cairo and modern Cairo. It was executed perfectly until our return flight to Sharm which was also smooth.
I would recommend this tour to everyone as you really get your monies worth, if not more then. They provide an AC vehicle on both ends with refreshments and regular stops for pictures or to top up on refreshments. An Egyptian style lunch is included as well as a Nile boat tour for a small additional cost.
You will be happy you did this.

Piramidi meravigliose
Abbiamo fatto questa escursione ieri e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Precisissimi negli orari e nelle comunicazioni via whatsApp. Ci sono venuti a prendere alle 03.30 in hotel per accompagnarci in aereoporto dove ci hanno dato assistenza per il check in. Il volo era della Compagnia di bandiera Egipt air cosa da non sottovalutare. In aereoporto al Cairo ci ha accolto l'autista che ci ha accompagnato per tutta la permanenza al Cairo. La nostra guida, Benedetto (nome italiano) è stato fantastico. Un uomo preparatissimo che ci ha descritto la storia di quello che stavamo visitando in maniera ineccepibile. Grazie all'agenzia scelta per l'escursione e a Benedetto è stata una giornata meravigliosa. Aggiungerei che il prezzo era assolutamente concorrenziale rispetto ad altre agenzie e il tour operator.

Un sogno
Tutto assolutamente perfetto, organizzato nei dettagli e nei tempi giusti. La nostra guida era bravissina e simpatica.
Ci siamo svegliati alle 4 del mattino na ne è valsa la pena. Una giornata indimenticabile!

AMAZING!
We did the pyramid trip by plane and what a fantastic experience and an absolute bargain! The day was long but I couldn't have imagined it being any shorter there was so much to do! A big thank you to fahmi our tour guide that explained everything from start to finish we learnt so much about the ancient Egyptians and the culture of Cairo. Well recommended and definitely will be booking something different through book tour Egypt next time 👍🏼
