U kunt de locatie te voet, te paard of per kameel verkennen. Duur: tussen de 2 en 3 uur. Na een bezoek aan de piramides van Gizeh gaat u naar de Grote Sfinx, verreweg de grootste overgebleven sfinx. Deze bestaat uit een mensenhoofd op het lichaam van een leeuw. De Sfinx is uitgehouwen uit de resten van een kalkstenen heuvel die diende als steengroeve voor de Grote Piramide van Cheops. Een tocht per felucca over de Nijl is tegen betaling beschikbaar.
Rond 4 uur wordt u opgehaald bij uw hotel. Bij aankomst in Caïro wordt u opgewacht door uw gids die u tijdens de tour zal begeleiden.

Het verdere verloop van de excursie brengt u naar de grote piramides van Cheops, Chephren en Mykerinus. De rondleiding door de piramides eindigt bij de Sfinx en de tempel eromheen. Aan het eind van de dag, als de tijd het toelaat, heeft u de gelegenheid om te gaan winkelen voordat u aan de terugreis naar Hurghada begint.
Als de terugvlucht vanuit Caïro in de late avond plaatsvindt, zullen we wat tijd doorbrengen met een bezoek aan het middeleeuwse Londen (Khan el Kalili Market), het oude Caïro, onlangs toegevoegd aan de UNESCO Werelderfgoedlijst, of Cairo Festival City, een extra groot winkelcentrum (met airconditioning), een van de grootste in het Midden-Oosten. Vol met de beroemdste internationale merken, restaurants, cafés en een enorme kleurrijke dansende fontein waar je wordt aangetrokken door het chique, moderne nachtleven van Caïro.
Bij aankomst op de luchthaven wordt u in een auto met airconditioning naar uw hotel gebracht.
Als we tijd hebben kunnen we twee karakteristieke bezoeken brengen aan het Papyrusmuseum en de Essentiële Oliefabriek. Deze twee attracties laten je kennismaken met oude Egyptische technieken voor het maken van papyrus en essences. Deze twee interessante bezoeken zullen je kennis over het dagelijks leven in het oude Egypte vergroten en zullen ook nuttig zijn voor de Egyptische boeren die in deze sectoren werken en deze zeer oude ambachten uit het oude Egypte behouden. (Deze bezoeken zijn afhankelijk van de resterende tijd.)
Daarna heeft je geest rust nodig. Zo kunt u bijvoorbeeld heerlijk tot rust komen tijdens een boottocht op de Nijl en Caïro vanaf het water ontdekken.

Our tour guide, Fahme, was excellent! He was very knowledgable and took the time to make sure that everybody on the tour had the best experience. Our son was feeling unwell on part of the trip and Fahme went out of his way to make sure that he was ok. We had a very enjoyable day and came away feeling like it was money well spent. We would also like to give a shout out to our amazing driver, Mustafa.

I’ve been here for 11 days i really enjoy it, the food and the people are amazing, a lot to do at the hotel and you can book activities such as marina, city tours, safari etc.. Every night the have shows, light show, karoke, pool party, carnival the people are so friendly and amazing service! Natalie is a great animater and friendly. Highly recommended

I took my 10 year old daughter on this trip from Hurghada to Cairo for the day. We had a brilliant time and felt completely safe for the whole journey. The guide- Fahme- was excellent and really looked after my daughter offering her some food, water and necessary bathroom breaks. Agree with other reviews that the Oils and Papyrus add ons were the only disappointing part of the day - would perhaps have been better to visit a more traditional market. This part of the day lasted around 1.5 hours however the sales people were not overly pushy. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone keen on Ancient Egypt.

A brilliant trip to see the best of Cairo & Giza all in a day including return day air transfers from Hurghada. We found the value for money was great, just be prepared to carry some extra cash for tips and any extras. We opted for the additional Nile cruise which was only £10 extra per person payable on the day, and also a Camel ride at the pyramids to take us to the best viewpoint which was also reasonable (think similar around £10 per person plus tips to the keepers) The sights were amazing. There was hot local falafel flatbreads at the boat ride before the late lunch to keep us all going, and later in the afternoon the guide provided ice creams too. Not sure if they are included or was our guide going the extra mile, but he was great with over 30 years experience. Would definitely recommend. Only downside was both the outbound and return flights were an hour late each so there was a bit of waiting at the (air conditioned) airport, but this wasn’t the fault of the tour operator.

My family had a great day out in Giza, and Ahmed was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. The tour operator was extremely responsive and even allowed us to tweak our visit to the pyramids to include the newly opened Grand Egyptian museum. A trip we will never forget!

Everything was very smooth from beginning to the end. Ahmed our tour guide was a delight and his English was good, his knowledge was really good about everywhere we have been. Driver and additional security were real nice guys too. Highly recommend to anyone.

This was a fantastic but very, very long day. We were picked up from our hotel at 3.50am and taken to the airport. The flight to Cairo was about an hour. As we exited the airport we were met by our guide”Fahma” who was there ready and waiting. He was fantastic, very knowledgable and really went out of his way to help ensure we did not miss out on anything. As a small group of six, a mix of UK and German speaking, Fahma spoke both languages with ease and took his time to engage and communicate so that we were all kept informed and updated in our own languages. He also aided communication with each other so we really did bond as a group. In addition to our guide, we had a driver and a security guard. The security guard was with us all day. Whilst at no point did we feel any risk or have any concerns for safety, it was certainly reassuring to have him there. He was also brilliant and went out of his way to make the day more enjoyable. Please take plenty of water with you, it is a very long day and there is no respite from the heat of the day. There is no air con in the museum so water and a hand held electric fan is a must! Don’t let the heat put you off this experience, just be prepared! We got back to our hotel about 10.30pm, it is a very long, hot and tiring day but is very worth it. An experience not to be missed.

We are a family of four with two kids aged 11 and 6, and this day trip from Makadi Bay to Cairo was the highlight of our holiday in Egypt. From start to finish, everything was excellently organised. The tour company contacted us via WhatsApp in advance to confirm all the details, including flight times and pick-ups, which made everything completely stress-free. We were picked up on time and taken to Hurghada airport, and from the moment we landed in Cairo we were in great hands. Our guide Ahmed was fantastic. He was enthusiastic, friendly and full of knowledge. He kept us all engaged (even our 6-year-old) and made sure we felt safe and looked after the entire time. The Pyramids are absolutely awe-inspiring. Seeing them from the horizon as we approached, and then standing right next to them, was a surreal and unforgettable experience. We also had a short camel ride to a quiet spot where we could take brilliant photos without the crowds. A really special touch. After visiting the Pyramids, lunch was arranged at a buffet-style restaurant nearby. There was a good variety of food, and even our son, who is quite a picky eater, found something he liked. We also stopped at a shop selling oils and perfumes, where we were offered complimentary drinks. We were a little unsure at first, but they were not overly pushy when we said we were not looking to buy, which we appreciated. The visit to the Egyptian Museum was equally impressive, especially seeing Tutankhamun’s burial mask in person. There was plenty packed into the day, but it never felt rushed. It is a long day, and we were all exhausted by the end of it, but it was absolutely worth it. The memories will stay with our kids forever. Highly recommended.
