Overzicht
Saqqara is de grootste archeologische vindplaats in Egypte en bevat meer dan 10.000 graven en 16 piramides. Je krijgt de kans om de eerste versierde piramide van binnenuit te bezoeken voor koning Unas uit de vijfde dynastie. Gedurende de dag bezoek je ook de oude hoofdstad Memphis en Dahshur-piramides. De starttijd van de tour is flexibel, maar meestal begint de tour rond 08.00 uur, duurt zes tot acht uur en eindigt rond 16.00 uur. Deze privétour omvat het ophalen met onze voertuigen met airconditioning op de door u gewenste locatie en het afleveren op de door u gewenste locatie. - Saqqara Pyramid1 uur
Haal eerst op van de gevraagde locatie door uw gids om uw reis over de drie oude necropolissen te beginnen. Dahshur heeft meerdere piramides, maar de meest bekende zijn de rode en gebogen piramides en behoren tot de oudste, grootste en best bewaarde in Egypte, gebouwd tussen 2613-2589 voor Christus. (De tijd die op elke plaats wordt doorgebracht, is flexibel volgens de klanten)

Ook wel de noordelijke piramide genoemd, beschouwd als de eerste klassieker die in de oude Egyptische geschiedenis is gebouwd, we noemen het rood vanwege de roodachtige kalksteen die is gewonnen uit het Tura-gebergte in Caïro. mogelijkheid om de piramide gratis te betreden !!
- Bent Pyramid45 minuten
Een uniek voorbeeld van vroege piramideontwikkeling in Egypte, dit was de tweede piramide gebouwd door Sneferu. beschouwd als de enige piramide in Egypte die nog steeds de buitenste laag heeft en nog steeds in goede staat is, krijgt u ook de kans om die piramide binnen te gaan, deze is nu van binnenuit open. (Als u claustrofobisch bent of lijdt aan een gezondheidsprobleem ga niet naar binnen) deze is erg uitdagend en je moet fit zijn.
- Memphis and Sakkara30 minuten
Daarna gaat de tour verder met een bezoek aan de stad die ooit de oude hoofdstad van Egypte was, de stad Memphis. Deze stad heeft zowel het kolossale standbeeld van Ramses II als de grote albasten sfinx en veel ruïnes in de buurt. De stad Memphis was het machtscentrum van het oude koninkrijk (2686 v.Chr.) van het oude Egypte en de thuisbasis van de farao's die de piramides hebben gebouwd.
- Mit Rahina Museum30 minuten
Speciaal museum voor het zeer beroemde standbeeld voor koning Ramses de grote 1279 voor Christus. Een enorm kalkstenen beeld in verbazingwekkende staat. Ramses de grote regeerde ongeveer 67 jaar over het Egyptische rijk.
- The Sphinx of Memphis30 minuten
De Sfinx van Memphis is een stenen sfinx in de buurt van de overblijfselen van Memphis, Egypte. Het beeld gemaakt van Egyptisch albast, nog steeds in zeer goede staat, kan de zeer beroemde koningin Hatshepsut 1479 v.Chr. voorstellen. dan begint u aan uw reis terug naar uw hotel.

Un excellent guide qui donne sa valeur à l'excursion
Huit heures en tout avec le déjeuner tardif mais très bon dans un restaurant pour touristes. Nous avons bénéficié des connaissances étendues et de la gentillesse attentionnée d'Essam. Le guide fait toute la différence et fait oublier que le coût par personne est quand même un peu élevé. Un grand merci donc à Essam. Globalement très satisfaits, nous recommandons ce tour.

Dit was de echte...
Dit was het echte hoogtepunt van mijn reis naar Egypte, alles was goed georganiseerd door de provider en verliep super soepel, ik heb genoten van het bezoeken van Saqqara & Dashur piramides, ze zijn nauwelijks zo populair als de Grote Piramides, maar VEEL indrukwekkender. Mijn gids was Ahmed Saber en hij zorgde ervoor dat ik me comfortabel, veilig en goed geïnformeerd voelde gedurende de hele reis.

The perfect day trip from Cairo
My husband and I were unsure if a private vs group tour would be worthwhile. We opted for a private tour in the end to ensure we weren't rushed and could learn the most about each site. I can say it was the right choice and blew away our expectations! Wael was a fantastic tour guide. With over a decade of tour guide experience and training in egyptology, he was able to provide us with so much information on both the topic at hand and other questions we had about the country/culture/history throughout the day. It's exactly what we were hoping for. He had a great demeanor and even when we ran into another tour guide who wasn't as kind, he smoothed things over without issue. He always made sure we were happy and satisfied before moving from one site to the next. Being in a private tour ensured we could see the sites at our own pace and Wael paced things well so we often missed the large crowds. This was especially appreciated when climbing down inside the Bent and Red pyramids. Pro tip: communication occurred a day or two before the trip via Whatsapp, so make sure to download before your trip. If you're interested in seeing Saqqara, Darshur, and Memphis then look no further and book this experience.

A very worthwhile trip
If you're going to Egypt, get beyond Giza and visit these other ancient sites. They are very interesting. Our guide was well-organized, friendly, prompt, and very knowledgeable. It was a perfect day.

This was the best private tour we did during our 2 week Egypt trip
This was the best tour during our 2 weeks in Egypt. We booked the private tour for 2 adults and one young kid to saqqara. Our guide Wael was very knowledgeable and he kept our son entertained the whole time. The tour had the right pace to not tire us out , yet we did everything we wanted to do and learned a lot about the pyramids and the archaeological site in saqqara.

Amazing experience with our excellent tour guide
We had an amazing and unforgettable day to Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur with our tour guide Wael. Our tour would not be completed without him. Our day started with a detour as we needed to visit the airport early morning, we were worried that we might not be able to finish the tour due to the late start. Wael quickly adjusted the schedule for us, making sure we would not miss the best of the tour. During the tour, Wael gave us comprehensive details of every place we visited, his knowledge and experience in Egyptology and Hieroglyphs is impressive! Our driver Samir on the other hand is a polite and quiet guy, our drive to the pyramids was pleasant and safe. Despite the late start, we completed our tour with total satisfaction and beautiful memories. We highly recommend this tour especially Wael to everyone!

Good times in Saqqarra!
An essential tour that you have to do in Cairo and preferably the first one, because you will see and learn about the first dynasties of ancient Egypt and their attempts at creating the famous burial sites. Our tour guide Hussam was very good at explaining the history of each site and most importantly, keeping us safe and protected against all the hustlers. Driver was quite excellent too. Two words of advise. First, it will help immensely if you have read a couple of things about Egyptian history. Second, try to visit as many sites as you can. Also, try to enter a pyramid, even just to have a feel of what it was like inside.

The best company to use.
We did several tours with Gem travel, they are a great company. Ahmed is a really nice guy, his English is not perfect but good enough. Like the other trips Ahmed went to great efforts to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. The driver Ashhoc was also excellent. Totally recommend the company, Guide, and driver.
