Passion, expertise and flexibility - the perfect tour!
We planned a 1/2 day tour with Hesham many months beforehand. On the day before, he clearly communicated with me and the pickup arrangements were made. On the day, WhatsApp was used to make sure found the vehicle picking us up at the hotel. We were guided by Ahmed, with Kazem as our driver. Ahmed was excellent! He seemed to know everyone wherever we went, which was very useful. We first visited the St George church - never expecting to see the patron saint of England revered in Cairo. Ahmed explained how this happened; it was very interesting. Then we walked to the Hanging Church, where we learned its history and the stories told in the mosaics. The ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue we briefly visited after it closed; Ahmed knew the guards who opened it up especially for us. Well done Ahmed! We also called into the Church of Abu Serga where Mary, Joseph and Jesus took refuge from the Romans. There are rocks there that, history tells us, were stood on by a young Jesus. We had no idea we would see anything like that in Cairo. We dropped the Mohammed Ali Mosque and Citadel as we went there on a tour operated by our cruise ship, instead visiting the oldest mosque in Cairo. There, Ahmed explained a bit of the history of Islam and its beliefs. It was a very peaceful place, and we learned a great deal. Last we visited the Khan el-Khalili, a hectic market. We were looking for something specific, and Ahmed helped us find it. Kazem was always there on time and drove in the Cairo madness with great skill. I was asked to write a review, but I would have anyway as this tour should be on the list for everyone who visits Cairo and wants to learn from a passionate and competent guide. Interesting day-tour of Cairo
Amazing day-tour of Cairo. In-depth knowledge of the city including Coptic and Islamic Cairo. Guide was friendly, adaptable and experienced.

Perfect Half Day in Cairo!
We had an awesome experience and highly recommend this tour! Fady, our guide, was very friendly and informative. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. We had plenty of time at each place, and Fady was patient with all my picture taking. Our driver was also very friendly, and he accommodating with where we wanted to be picked up and dropped off. This tour was a very efficient, hassle-free way to see many of the major highlight of the city without feeling rushed or overloaded!

Coptic Christian tour.
Picked up at our hotel and driven to the Coptic Christian area of Cairo. Given a tour and some historical background of the churches. Then to the mosque and the markets. Excellent tour.

A lovely half-day in Central Cairo
Rafat is a great driver and took me safely to the different spots of the Cairo tour. He also gave me information on sights we met on the way.

Great experience!
We booked a tour with a driver not with a guide and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Our driver Shadi was kind, knowledgeable, and very accommodating throughout the day. He had a good sense of humour and shared useful tips about local customs and behaviour.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable day and appreciated his professionalism.

À éviter, plutôt se débrouiller soi-même
Expérience déplorable : chauffeur ou "pseudo guide" n'en faisant qu'à sa tête : nous menant dans les endroits ou une commission pouvait lui être due : parfumerie, musée du papyrus, restaurant ... en débutant cette mauvaise mésaventure, nous nous sommes rendu compte qu'il ne servait à rien de passer par ces plate-formes et qu'il vallait mieux planifier ses trajets en prenant des taxis ou uber. Vraiment très déçu mais finalement nous a permis de mieux gerer nos activités par la suite.
