Ich hatte eine unvergessliche Tour mit Dr. Mohamed abdel kader. Sein Wissen und seine Erklärungen zu den Pyramiden und der Altägyptischen Kultur,ließen keine Fragen offen. Leider hatten beide meiner Flüge Verspätung. Aber dafür kann FTS ja nichts. Ich empfehle diese gut organisierte Tour.

La sequenza della giornata è stata: -Partenza dal resort alle 4.30 tramite taxi fornito dall’agenzia con decollo dell’aereo alle 7. -Arrivati al Cairo ad attenderci c’era la guida insieme all’autista i quali ci hanno accompagnato tutto il giorno. Inoltre avevamo assistenza tramite whatsapp con un agente dell’agenzia in caso di necessità. -Museo egizio: molto interessante e bello. -Istituto del papiro: tappa obbligata in cui alla fine si viene spinti a comprare un loro papiro il quale comunque è molto bello e di ottima qualità. Con un pó di imbarazzo si puó comunque evitare. -Ristorante: normale si mangia bene è tarato per turisti (bere escluso). -Piramidi di Giza e sfinge: si accede al sito in macchina e ci si sposta in diversi punti per ammirarle e fotografarle al meglio (visita facoltativa di 30€ all’interno delle piramidi da noi non fatta e sconsigliata da molti). -Negozio di profumi: anche questa tappa ahimè obbligata in cui come all’istituto del papiro se non interessati si puó declinare gentilmente l’acquisto. -Mercato di Khan al Khalili: particolare e vero, si respira la vera essenza popolare del Cairo. -Barca sul Nilo: tappa facoltativa da noi fatta (10€) ma vale molto la pena. -Ritorno in aeroporto per le 19 e partenza in aereo per Sharm alle 21. -Arrivati a Sharm un taxi fornito dell’agenzia ci ha riaccompagnato in resort. Escursione perfetta. Certamente impegnativa ma vale veramente i soldi spesi. Noi come guida abbiamo avuto Nabil. Persona ottima, gentile, simpatica e molto competente. Disponibile in tutto non si puó recriminargli nulla. Ha reso la gita perfetta. Un saluto ancora a Nabil e all’agenzia. Gita assolutamente da fare se si soggiorna a Sharm.

This was a very long day but it was absolutely worth it. We were picked up from our hotel at 4.30 am amd taken to the airport at Sharm el Sheikh to fly to Cairo. We were met by Ismail and Ahmed, our personal guide and driver for the day. Ismail was so helpful and knowledgeable, keeping us informed and feeling safe throughout the day We started off being dropped off at the gate to the market in the heart of Islamic Cairo. A history of trading at the site dates as far back as around 1382 to 1389, but the carved and decorated gates and alleyways came later, in the 16th century. Ahmed picked us up to take us to the Egyptian museum, where we saw so much of ancient Egyptian history, including Tut Ankh Amun's golden chair, his burial jewellery and finery, mummified animals and the mummies of Yuya and Thuya. You can still see their finger nails and blonde curly hair. After a coffee break, Ahmed drove us to the banks of the Nile for a boat trip. The view was amazing, with Cairo on one side and Giza on the other. Our next stop was to the papyrus institute where we were shown the process for making the first writing material that is similar to paper. It was invented by the Egyptians in approximately 3000 B.C. The art work was explained to us, depicting typical ancient Egyptian stories such as judgement day. When the lights are turned off, the pictures light up and create a completely different picture. After an all excellent all you can eat buffet, we were taken to 3 different drop offs to get the best views of the Giza Pyramids. The views were stunning. We were then taken to see the Spinkx and the temple that had been built to mummify the bodies of the Pharoes. Our final stop was to a perfume and oil factory, where a Bedouin family explained how they grow the flowers and the process used to create pure essential oils used for many remedies and for the base for many household named perfumes. We didn't get back to our hotel until after 11.30 pm but it had been a fabulous experience. I would definitely recommend this trip and our excellent guide and driver.

Escursione al Cairo da Sharm, un’esperienza oggettivamente faticosa per che come me soffre il caldo, ma la nostra guida Gamal ha reso la giornata un evento di famiglia da ricordare. Nonostante figlio di 13 anni pre adolescente che alla parola “museo” si fa venire l’orticaria, il nostro amico Gamal (perché alla fine della giornata sarà un vostro amico) è riuscito a coinvolgerlo e ad entusiasmarlo. Museo egizio favoloso, piramidi mozzafiato, come pure la sfinge, pranzo sul Nilo veramente ottimo, cammellata emozionante e mini giro in barca sul Nilo al tramonto da svenire! Il tour è stato super divertente ma educativo, Gamal ha risposto alle nostre tante (tantissimissime) domande per tutto il giorno, competente, professionale ma mai e poi mai noioso. Volo veloce e tranquillo, spostamenti molto comodi, monumenti da vedere almeno una volta nella vita. Consiglio senza esitare Gamal come guida perché a noi ha svoltato la vacanza! Se potessi darei 6 stelle!

Ottima esperienza con questo tour operator (FTS Travel ) , la guida che ci ha accompagnato per tutta la giornata, il signor Gamal, é stato molto coinvolgente ed esaustivo nelle sue spiegazioni, ma soprattutto una persona solare e divertente. La miglior guida in questa vacanza ! Se siete italiani in vacanza a Sharm el Sheikh, vi consiglio questo tour di un giorno al Cairo con Gamal

Asmaa/ Mohammed was our tour guide, made me feel part of the group even though I was by myself. Egyptian Museum- -we were shown the key exhibits, and had time to then explore by ourselves. The boat trip on the Nile gave us a different perspective of Cairo. The visit to the pyramids was spectacular and the camel ride well organised. We stopped to see the Sphinx but this was too brief for me. All in all a memorable day, FTS is a reliable organisations a caring intelligent guide, who made Cairo a memorable experience.

We flew from Sharm to Cairo and visited the Egyptian museum, short cruise on the nile, pyramids and sphinx, incl a couple of stops on the way. The history and scenery of Egypt speaks for itself, but to be accompanied by a guide who was so knowledgeable made the trip extremely memorable and such a pleasure. We were a grouo of 4, (two couples), so the whole day was very personal. Amine discussed everything with us and ensured we had the best from the day, with everything in an order appropriate to us. Everyone absolutely loved the day, and at the first opportunity I will be back to repeat it again and request that Amine is the tour guide as he was fantastic. If I had to do it again I would request more time at the museum and skip the papyrus visit and perfuum shop, ensuring more time at one of the most important attractions.

Il tour operator FTS TRAVELS è stato fantastico! Nonostante il volo di andata in ritardo di 3h ore (non per colpa di FTS ovviamente) siamo riusciti a fare tutto e anche più di quanto pensavamo. La guida Abdil è stata eccezionale! Non ci ha lasciato mai soli e ci ha guidato nella città de Il Cairo: museo egizio, pranzo, piramidi, sfinge, negozio papiri con dimostrazione di come veniva lavorato, negozio di essenze, giro in barca privata sul Nilo, giro nel grande mercato per comprare souvenir e ritorno in aeroporto alle ore 22:00. Il nostro gruppo era formato in totale da 6 persone, coetanee e tutte italiane. La guida parlava benissimo l'italiano. Consigliatissimo!

Fab trip marred only by EgyptAir as our flight to Cairo was 3 hrs late and as the pyramids close at 4pm we only had a 40min visit to the museum and about the same at the Pyramids which was such a shame. Our tour guide Sharif was brilliant and stayed with us until v late as our flight home was after midnight and took us to see other attractions and a market. We were with a lovely group and Sharif answered knowledgeably every question and was lots of fun. Our driver was also brilliant trying to get us everywhere as quickly as poss

Negatives: 1.We booked the flight to cario. The company changed it to the bus 6 hours before. We booked the ticket 2 weeks ago and when I checked skyscanner at thet time, there was tickets avaliable. 2. Then you confirm the timings 4 hours before the bus leaves. 3. Then you tell us 3 hours before to get a visa when the original plan was to get the visa from the airport. 4. You want us to change the date to the 20th August when on the email we said we are leaving. 5. You ask us to go on Monday when I told you we have to be at the airport at 8pm for our home flight. 6. It's been 5 days and we are still waiting for our refund. Postives: 1. The tour guide was really informative and adapted the day to what the family required! 2. The pick up was on time from the airport. 3. There was communication throughout the journey but I had no data so couldn't communicate. Overall it was a good trip and part of the memory. But it was stressful in the moment.
