Had an awesome tour to Luxor visiting the valley of the kings and many other Egyptian places with our tour guide; Hares. He was very kind and had a lot of knowledge about the history of Luxor. I would highly recommend doing this tour if you visit Egypt. 100000% amazing!!!

Abbiamo trascorso due giorni tra Valle dei Re e Luxor, partendo da Marsa Alam. Nonostante le 5 ore di viaggio necessarie, abbiamo avuto l'ottimo autista Mamdouh che ci ha portati a destinazione in auto al fresco. Abbiamo, quindi, raggiunto la nostra guida locale Hares che parla perfettamente italiano e che ci ha accompagnati in questi due giorni e che ci ha raccontato la storia relativa a tutto quello che abbiamo visto. Abbiamo potuto anche, grazie a lui, pranzare e cenare in luoghi caratteristici e frequentati da altri egiziani, anche loro sempre disponibili. Non abbiamo avuto problemi di nessun tipo e abbiamo potuto notare quanto queste zone siano presidiate dalla polizia locale quindi consigliamo a tutti di venire senza preoccuparsi di situazioni pericolose. we hebben een heel leuke (wel lange) dag gehad; vertrek om 4u30 aan ons hotel (Coraya bay) en aankomst rond 10u00 in Luxor - goed chauffeur. in Luxor hadden we een heel goede gids (Ahmed) die vloeiend nederlands sprak en heel interessante tips gaf (vb hij zei ons zelfs hoeveel we konden betalen om naar het toilet te gaan) hadden een mooie (maar wel korte ongeveer 1 uur) rondleiding in Karnac om daarna met een boot de overzet te maken naar de andere oever waar ons restaurant was (let wel op de toch per boot is niet inbrepen in de prijs - we betaalden 40 euro voor 4 personen maar hadden wel de boot voor ons alleen eten was lekker maar moest wel snel gaan daarna naar de koningsgraven (voor ons het mooiste van de dag hebben Ramses IV, IX en VIII gedaan, echt prachtig daarna naar de tempel hatsjepsoet en nog naar de winkel waar ze beeldjes in steen maken, we kregen er wel een drankje maar je voelt je toch verplicht iets te kopen (onze gids hield zich wel op de achtergrond en hij forceerde je zeker niet, maar gezien je dan binnen bent, kan je niet verder dan iets kopen, 2 kleine scarbees gekocht voor 20 €, waarvan 1 reeds kapot was tijdens onze reis - dit zouden we niet meer doen daarna nog naar de kolossen van memnon waar er nog tijd was voor enkele foto's (de gids heeft in de loop van de dag meerdere foto's van ons 4 genomen, was ook wel leuk) daarna stapte de gids terug uit en dan nog van 16u30 tot rond 21u30 rijden naar ons hotel (dan wel halverwege nog een 2de chauffeur opgepikt alles heel vlot verlopen en zeer correcte afspraken

Prenotato on line, pagato piccolo acconto Partenza ore 5.00 dal resort, viaggio impegnativo di circa 5 ore, ma con un paio di soste, quindi fattibile Accolti a Luxor da Hares, egittologo preparatissimo, che parla perfettamente italiano Posto bellissimo, molto emozionante e ben illustrato dalla ns guida Dopo un paio di ore a Karnak, attraversiamo il Nilo (a soli 5 euro a persona) e pranziamo benissimo in un tipico locale egiziano Quindi Valle dei re, tempio di hatshepsut e colossi di memnon, sempre accompagnati da Hares, tra spiegazioni e simpatiche battute Esperienza fantastica, nonostante le altre 5 ore di auto per tornare al resort Grazie ad Hares e al ns autista J P

Trip to Luxor was fantastic. Well organized and small group - 4 persons. Staff (guide, manager, drivers) very friendly. Guide was a good speaker not only in topic of ancient history but in most recent Egypt's history as well. If you have more time in Egypt I would suggest going for 2 days trip to Luxor. Very good customer care - in touch with you with Whatsupp messages. Fair payment policy - 25% in advance, rest paid on the trip

Marsa Alam Tours offers standard day trips from Marsa Alam to Luxor, but we preferred a custom made trip. We communicated through What's App and email. Sometimes it took a little while for the company to get back to us, but they always did. We could've easily picked any other company, but we're SO glad we went with Marsa Alam Tours. They responded in such a flexible way and they granted us all our wishes. The tour guide told us all sorts of things on our way to Luxor (that took approx. 5 hours) and answered all our questions. We went to the Karnak and Luxor Temples, had something to drink in downtown Luxor, crossed the river Nile by felucca (it's really nice and peaceful to sail on the Nile and NOT use a motorized boat!), had a great lunch at restaurant 'Africa', checked out the Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings and ended our day trip enjoying the incredibly beautiful temple of Queen Hatshepsut. It was great that our guide, Ahmed, was there to explain things and pointed out so many details we would've definitely overlooked ourselves. With all the things he told us, I think we hardly scratched the surface of everything he knows. The whole day was amazing, interesting and very captivating. We had 2 drivers, Ramadan and (2nd) Ahmed, because Luxor is a long way from Marsa Alam. We felt very safe with all 3 gentlemen. Definitely a pleasure to travel with the people of Marsa Alam Tours. Thank you all very much for this unforgettable day! Should we ever be back in Egypt (no matter where we will be in Egypt next time), we will definitely book our excursions with Marsa Alam Tours, since they organize trips throughout the whole of Egypt. Organisatie Marsa Alam Tours: Ik vind dit een fijne organisatie, omdat je via whatsapp/ facebook kan praten. Hierdoor krijg je snel antwoord op je vragen. Excursie: De excursie was goed geregeld en compleet. Als je iets extra's wilde doen, was dit geen probleem (bijvoorbeeld naar een Papyrus winkel gaan). Ook kregen wij een Nederlandstalige gids zonder daar gevraagd om te hebben, wat dus erg fijn was. Enige nadeel vond ik dat je een soort van verplicht werd om een cruise over de Nijl te maken voor 15 euro.

We had an amazing day in Luxor visiting Egyptian archeological sites. The pick up was early in the morning (4 am), but the transport was very comfortable and we managed to sleep almost the whole trip to Luxor (5 hours). We met there our guide Ahmed, who led us the through the sites in the East side of Luxor. He was very nice and prepared pointing out very interesting facts, like the Christian paintings in the Karnak temple. We crossed the Nile on a small boat and we had lunch. The included lunch was on the roof of a restaurant in west side of Luxor with a nice view on the Nile. The meal ok and abundant (remember drinks not included). In the afternoon we visited the valley of the kings and the temple of Hatshepsut. We finished the day with the long trip home (we arrived at 11pm) tired but very satisfied. Recommended

The service provided by Marsa Alam Tour was really good and safe. I wrote them by email/whatsapp and they replied soon providing details. As far as I understood, they work as an intermediary, contacting local driver and guides. The car was good and the driver, Abdul if I remember correctly, was really kind and always smiling and drove perfectly along the whole day. The guide, Ares, was a good guy, he spoke a really good italian and was able to explain us all useful information about the temple we visited. The only reason why I didn't provide a 5 star rating is that the guide tried to "oversell" us some extra tombs in the "Kings Valley". The price for Tutankhamon tomb is (as of January 2019) 250 LE, equivalent to 11,5 Euro approximately. The price for Seti tomb, instead, is 1000 LE, equivalent to 50 Euros approximately. The guide, instead, told us that he was buying the ticket for us at a price of 25 euro for Tutankhamon and 70 Euros for Seti. Please, always refer to the official prices available at the entrance of the temples. Except for this small inconvenient, I recommend to book and take a private tour with this agency for the quality and the safety of the service provided.
