Karnak è un antico tempio egizio situato sulla riva orientale del fiume Nilo a Tebe (l'odierna Luxor). Copre più di 100 ettari, un'area più grande di alcune antiche città.
Costruito nel corso di centinaia di anni da Amenhotep III, Ramses II, Tutankhamon e altri faraoni, il Tempio di Luxor era il centro religioso più grande e significativo dell'antico Egitto. In quella che allora era Tebe, il Tempio di Luxor era "il luogo della Prima Occasione", dove il dio Amon sperimentò la rinascita durante la cerimonia di incoronazione del faraone rievocata ogni anno.
La sponda occidentale di Luxor era stata il sito di sepolture reali sin dal 2100 a.C. circa, ma furono i faraoni del periodo del Nuovo Regno (1550-1069 a.C.) che scelsero questa valle isolata dominata dalla vetta a forma di piramide di Al Qurn ( Il Corno). Una volta chiamata la Grande Necropoli di Milioni di Anni del Faraone, o il Luogo della Verità, la Valle dei Re ha 63 magnifiche tombe reali.
A Deir Al Bahri, gli occhi si concentrano prima sulle drammatiche scogliere calcaree aspre che si innalzano per quasi 300 metri sopra la pianura desertica, solo per rendersi conto che ai piedi di tutta questa immensa bellezza si trova un monumento ancora più straordinario, l'abbagliante Tempio di Hatshepsut. Il tempio dall'aspetto quasi moderno si fonde magnificamente con le scogliere da cui è in parte tagliato: un matrimonio fatto in paradiso. La maggior parte di ciò che vedi è stata ricostruita meticolosamente.

We had a brilliant day with Azab. Nothing was too much trouble and we had lots of time to see whatever we wanted. We had such good fun too. Azab has incredible knowledge of Luxor and we learned so much. Thank you so much Azab!

We had a really great time on the tour. We learned a lot and it was such an unforgettable experience! We had enough time to see everything and take pictures. Our guide provided us with everything important to know and was a really nice guy! The lunch in the end was very delicious with a nice view. There were even vegetarian options. I can totally recommend the tour!

Very kind and pleasant guide! We had a great time with Azab and we learned a lot from him :) Perfect length, wouldn’t do it longer, and great to explore the West side of Luxor. Really recommended!

I just completed my 3-day Luxor and Aswan portion of my 8 day Egypt tour with my fabulous tour guide AZAB. I highly recommend. He is very knowledgeable and nice. He met me at the airport and hotel for check-in and pickups. Everything is planned out and efficient. Transportation is sufficient with AC. AZAB covered the east and west of Luxor and followed on the third day with a train ride to Aswan. He is very thorough with his info at each site. He will assist with pictures and anything else you may need. AZAB took me to some great restaurants with good food. I cannot recommend AZAB enough!! I'm already planning my next return trip to tour additional sites.

At the epgyt temples the tour was full of historic facts that our tour guide Ahmad awad explained and answered all of our questions. He was very knowledgeable and an enjoyable guide to have. I would recommend him anyone coming to epgyt as a great guide.

Our time in Egypt was amazing. It was made even better by our guide Ahmed Awad. He took the time to answer all our questions and became our personal photographer. When in Egypt I highly recommend Ahmed as your guide.

Mohamed Sayed was a great tour guide. He was attentive and knowledgeable of all the the sites (Valley of the Kings, Luxor temple and Karnak temple to name a few). He also took us on a Nile River cruise from our hotel to Banana Island and it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend him as a tour guide and will definitely use him again!

Our day in Luxor was fantastic. We got to see all of the sites; Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Nefertari’s Tomb, Hatshepsut Temple, Karnak Temple, and lastly, the Luxor Temple. We had a change in plans, and our tour guide, Mohamed Sayed, was very accommodating. He made sure we got to see everything we wanted to see. He was very informative and friendly. I highly recommend this tour.
