Hany was the best driver and good honest person I have met in Egypt. He tried to make us comfortable, happy and enjoy our time. He was very willing to help us for everything. If you visit Abu Simbel, Hany will recommend you one fish restaurant. You must go there. So delicious! I really enjoyed my time with Hany. Highly recommend it!

Fantastic trip to Abu Simbel. Our driver Hany was very kind and did a wonderful job getting us to the temple and back. The vehicle was super comfortable and Hany would point out anything of interest along the way. The temple of Ramses II was so worth the long drive. We got many great photos. It was truly magnificent.

Our tour guide, Markos, was excellent. My husband and I had booked this trip last minute after realizing the difficulty of trying to travel on our own. We actually met Markos the day before when he took us on a tour of Aswan proper. He suggested this tour to us and we readily agreed, as he is incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful. The trip by car is long, but Markos made sure we were comfortable. When we arrived he gave us a thorough historical overview of both of the temples for Ramses II and Nefertari. He also taught us how to read their cartouches, how to identify the different gods and goddesses, and told us where we could find the best preserved images. He really was a wealth of information about the archaeology of the site, but also of the modern period- especially the removal and rebuilding of these landmarks above the waterline. We loved our time on this tour and highly recommend it. No pressure to buy or random stops at tourist junk shops!

We are very happy that we choosed Viator Abu Simbel tour from Aswan. Easy and smooth communication with Viator, pick-up in the reception of our Nile boat, great driver Hany who provided insights during our car trip through the desert and provided us with snacks and coffe-bathroom stop during the way. Guides are not allowed inside the two temples but the guide showed us photos outside so we knew exactly what to spot on the inside. In all we are very content with the Viator Abu Simbel tour and our driver Hany.

An excellent day trip to the legendary Abu Simbel temple of Ramses II, plus the smaller Temple of Hathor. It's about a three hour drive each way from Aswan, and our guide Michael and driver Hany Amir made us very comfortable. Michael is full of great information about the temples and Egyptian culture in general. He also came to our rescue when the ATM refused to work, and helped me change my US dollars into Egyptian pounds at a way better rate than you'll find at any bank. For anyone who is worried about the safety of Egypt, rest assured -- Egypt is extremely safe for Western tourists, yet so many people have cancelled their bookings this year due to (unfounded) security concerns. It's a great time to visit -- you'll find many popular sites at half the usual capacity.

Je me suis rendu au temple d'Abou Simpel avec Hany comme chauffeur. Le voyage était vraiment bien. Il m'a rencontré à la réception de l'hôtel à 8 heures et m'a apporté des boissons et des collations. Le voyage dure 3 . 5 heures dans chaque sens. Quand nous y arrivons, il y a peu de touristes et pas du tout foule. De plus, Hany est vraiment chaleureux et a présenté diverses choses (fermes, barrage, etc.) sur notre chemin vers Abu Simpel. Il est vraiment gentil et conduit en douceur. Je suis heureux de l'avoir comme chauffeur. L'Ahmed est le guide touristique d'Abu Simplel Template. Il est vraiment intelligent et connaît chaque détail du modèle. Merci pour les belles photos : ) Une petite chose à remarquer est que le chauffeur me recommande un restaurant de poisson à Assouan. La nourriture y était vraiment bonne, mais trop chère. A part ça, tout dépasse mes attentes et c'est vraiment un voyage confortable.

The visit to the temples at Abu Simbel was a highlight of our trip to Egypt. Everyone interested in ancient Egypt should make this trip! Our driver and our local guide were very knowledgeable and friendly. Four hour trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel was long but worth it. The tour operator provided a comfortable van and some snacks. We stopped for coffee about mid-way. Pick-up was on-time at 6:00AM. (We recommend starting as early as possible.) Highlights of the trip were the size of the figures outside the King's temple and the relocation of the temples to higher ground. A film documenting the relocation of the temples and creating a new "mountain" was poor quality and dated but viewable and worth the time. There was some confusion about the stated duration of the trip. Viator stated full day; driver thought the duration was 8 hours, Eight hours is insufficient to visit both temples and view the film.

A very efficient service. We were able to choose our start time so left at 0700 to arrive at 1030 missing most of the crowds and most of the heat. Our guide to the temple complex was friendly, funny and informative. The temple was well worth visiting - especially since the long journey was so comfortable.
