El Alamein museum & cemeteries

What a great day. Karim & driver arriving early, fully explained the day & a smooth journey to El Alamein. Cemeteries and museum done with good explanations and plenty of time to look around. Finished off with a first class seafood meal in Alexandria. I have high standards and these were fully met. Top people and a top day.

Excellent tour!

We could not have been more pleased with this whole experience. Our driver, Mustafa was friendly and professional. And our tour guide, Mohammed was very pleasant and so knowledgeable. He has a wealth of information and was able to answer our questions. The fish was delicious as we sat in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean. A perfect ending to an incredible tour! Thank you so much! Bill and Cheri Frees

Excellent Alexandria Tour

* our guide Karim speaks English fluently. He also speaks French * he chose to visit the places in a different kind of order, but it was better like this. We avoided big crowds * we never felt stressed or pushed * we were in a small group of 4 persons * Karim chose a restaurant with delicious food with fair prices. We had a great view over alexandria and some sightseeings * Karim has positive energy, a lot of knowledge and witty jokes * if we would book another tour with this tour operator, we would be delighted to have Karim as a tour guide again * pick up coordination was excellent and the van has an a/c * our driver drove safe and in a calm way

Okay-Okay not wow

It was an okay-okay experience. The most disappointing thing happened is the library was not open and we were not informed. It was a big loss for us. Rest of the trip was good. Especially our guide. He was very good, great knowledge and very kind.

Alexandria - Blend of Egyptian, Roman & Greek

Part of our 30 days Cairo, Nile Cruise, Sharm El Sheik & Alexandria Ultimate Luxury Tour. Tour organiser: Ramasside - 5 Star with $$ hiccups. Guide: Karim Serry - fantastic - good English - very informative Driver from Cairo - Ahmed - fantastic & reliable. Driver in Alex and back to Cairo - Mahmoud - fantastic, calm, deft in chaotic traffic. We are a retired couple in our 70’s. We were in Alex for 5 days and stayed at the Four Seasons San Stefano - fabulous. We upgraded to sea view room - unless specifically requested Ramasside seems to book the cheapest room. After a 3 hour drive we met Karim and immediately started our tour - visiting the Catacombs, Roman Theatre & Biblioteca. All sites were covered very thoroughly & efficiently. Karim was very informative and engaging. Day 2 - Downtown Alex, street walk, beautiful mosques, St. Mark's Coptic church , site of the Lighthouse (now a fort - Citadel of Qaitbay) and Montaza Palace & Gardens. All worth a visit. Tea in Delices Cafe was a highlight. Later a seafood dinner - fish was wonderful - ambience so so, probably because Egyptians seem to eat very late and so the restaurant was empty. Day 3 - A sobering excursion to El Alamein Commonwealth War Cemetery and Local War Museum. Day 4 - Rosetta - where the Nile enters to Mediterranean Sea. Wonderful excursion included a boat ride on the Nile, wander through the town including wet market and inside old mill & buildings. A short drive to an old fort where the Rosetta Stone was found and a view of the confluence of the Nile & Mediterranean. A highlight was a sit-down with a craftsman who makes furniture from the river reeds. A man living an ancient craft but with fascinating insights to the future. Day 5 - Rest day . We walked to the nearby Jewel Museum - very worthwhile. We had a great time in Alexandria - Karim, Mahmoud, The Four Seasons Staff all made our visit a wonderful experience.
