Beautiful history, poor planning

Khaled is a great tour guide! He is friendly and takes care of his group, he also knows a lot about the history of Egypt and loves to answer questions we had. So 5/5 for Khaled! Then the boat: it was OK but not the best boat compared to the ones you walk on to get to your own boat. It seemed a bit outdated and the rooms smelled a bit off. So for sure I would have liked a more modern boat. Then the organization: the information is all very last minute, so we were a bit in the dark until a few days before. Also only then did we find out every tour starts in the middle of the night; around 03:00 you have to get up. I had a more relaxed schedule in mind. Then the thing that bugged me the most; we had to cut time at certain visits (like Karnak, which was amazing and I could have spent hours there). If there was a solid reason I’m all understanding, but in a lot of cases it was just so we could visit a tourist trap somewhere nearby. A herb/spice shop or a stonemason shop, which all were obvious tourist traps and overcharged visitors. We didn’t participate, but we wasted good time there which could have been spent at the beautiful historical locations. So in short; we loved the knowledge of our guide and we loved the actual visits (a lot!). Planning, time management, boat comfort and tourist traps were a letdown. So overal we’re happy but definitely room for improvement.

Overall a nice experience but a lot to be improved

The boat was old and definitely not luxurious, but the cabin was comfortable. The food was OK. The staff was very friendly. The program was quite messy and many things could be easily improved such as temple planning visits - half of the time we were in a rush to meet the schedule and had to almost run through the temple to make it on time - the other half was full of fluff and squeezed in tourist traps which I would have gladly skipped to be able to sleep in vs waking up at 3 am… the guide Khalid was overall friendly and tried to accommodate everyone’s planning, but he did have an agenda and was quite pushy for leaving a good review which I didn’t appreciate. Yet overall it was a positive experience.

Perfect experience in Egypt

We had an excellent trip , honestly, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Our guide, King Mina, was fantastic. He was always attentive, friendly, and eager to share explanations and fascinating historical facts throughout the entire trip. The itinerary is quite intense and the mornings start very early, but it is absolutely worth it, especially if it’s your first time visiting these incredible places. We were able to see and experience so much, and everything was perfectly organised from start to finish. Keep in mind that the admissions nor the tips are included in the price so it’s something to think extra in terms of budget. The whole experience was very professional, well planned, and, most importantly, always delivered with a smile. Highly recommended! A truly unforgettable experience. Thank you King Mina for everything.

Wonderful Nile cruise

We had a wonderful experience on our Nile cruise with our guide, Khaled El Saady. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the history and stories of ancient Egypt easy and interesting to understand. He also took the time to answer all our questions and made sure we were comfortable throughout the tour. Khaled was professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about Egyptian history. Thanks to him, we got much more out of our Nile cruise and the temples we visited. We would definitely recommend Khaled to anyone looking for a great guide in Egypt.

Good experience on board MS Nile Admiral

Our guide, Khaled, was very friendly and attentive. We paid for tips and entrance fees for the sites we were visiting right at the start of the trip, and no further payments were requested—meaning there were no surprise costs. Regarding the tour organization, I would have liked more time at the Temple of Edfu, though that wasn't the guide's fault; it was down to the boat's logistics. On the other hand, in Luxor, I think we should have started earlier, as there are so many sites to visit and it ended up feeling very rushed (though the Temple of Karnak was the only place where I felt we really needed more time; the time spent at the other locations was adequate). Overall, I really enjoyed the experience, and the food on the boat was great!

Busy but fulfilling

We had a whirlwind and amazing time with khaled our guide. He has vast information to share and loves his country. We saw so many amazing places during our cruise and some fun extras (I won’t spoil the surprise but confirm your country’s rules for returning with non-perishable items) The ship we had was fun and food was amazing! Our group that khaled led was an eclectic group from all over the world…and we had a marvelous time in traveling & learning together Would highly recommend. If you are someone who needs lots of details ahead of time this may not be the tour for you. Much information is disseminated night before or day of but all such good stuff
