Super tour to Luxor with Book-Tour-Egypt

We have been booking our excursions with Book-Tour-Egypt since 2015. We have always been very satisfied. Be it in Egypt or the Sinai Peninsula.
In March 2024, we booked the trip to Luxor by bus from Makadi Bay this year.
We were picked up punctually at 5 a.m. The transfer went great. We were a small group, about 9 people. The bus was very comfortable and modern.
We visited Luxor Temple - Karnak Temple - Memnon Colossi - Valley of the Kings - Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The drivers and tour guides on site were friendly and spoke great German! It was also possible to take a short trip on the Nile. That was nice. A great lunch was also included in the price. There was plenty to help yourself to at the buffet.
In the evening we were back at 9 p.m. and were even able to eat a little something for dinner in the hotel.
I could upload lots of photos now, but that would go beyond the scope.
The price-performance ratio at Book-Tour-Egypt is right for this extensive day trip. You are also always safe on the road, which is very important to us in Egypt.
I have trusted Book-Tour-Egypt for almost 10 years now. We have also been to Cairo together by bus. Everything has always worked out. Contact via WhatsApp etc. is also great. The prices are UNBEATABLE anyway!
I am already looking forward to 2025 - we will travel to Egypt again.

We had a great day with a great French-speaking guide!
It's a long day but it's definitely worth it. We were amazed!
The van is comfortable. The buffet was good.
The optional Nile cruise is available.

VIP Tour Hurghada to Cairo then to Luxor
Very friendly and competent staff. The drivers, the guide and the entire travel agency staff were always available and fulfilled all of our wishes. We booked a VIP tour and are very satisfied. We will definitely book here again on our next trip. Highly recommended.

Super and very nice trip
We booked a 2-day trip from Hurghada to Cairo and from there to Luxor by flight. The trip sounds exhausting but it was very exciting and very beautiful. The people who live in Luxor are very nice and very polite. The organization was excellent. The pick-up from the hotel and to the airport was on time. It was very warm but with the humor and the great knowledge of the tour guide you didn't notice the heat. The temples were very beautiful and interesting. We ate something typical Egyptian in a restaurant called Paris in Luxor which was very casual and friendly.
I would be happy to book the trip again. Many thanks to the two drivers who drove us from Luxor to Hurghada. And a big compliment to the organizers.

Nice but hot trip.
Nice trip, saw Karnak temple, Valley of the Kings and took a boat ride. Excellent organisation, shame about the terrible heat (obviously not due to the agency) better not to go
from May to August. Advise.

Ask for Laila
We had a great day in Luxor. Our guide Laila is great. She explained detailedly and did not rush through. She gave us enough free time to explore around. Overall, I recommend this tour and our guide Laila.

A brilliant time!
We had an amazing time on this tour!!!
It is a small intimate group which is really beneficial and you get the most out of the experience because of it. We did a larger group tour for Cairo with a different tour provider and it ruined the experience in comparison to this.
Sheriff was our tour guide and he was absolutely incredible. He catered to everyone and made sure we had snacks provided throughout the journey. He was also very knowledgeable and added little quirks to make the trip even more memorable.
The van ride was about 8 hours in total so make sure to bring a pillow so you’re comfy.
Despite Egypt bordering Israel the whole experience felt very safe.
We recommend this trip!

Wir empfehlen den Trip nicht!
Es hat angefangen mit der Abholung anstatt 4 Uhr war es 5:30. Erster stop war karnak Krempel, eigentlich wunderschön aber man hatte nur 20 min Zeit für sich selber alles zu erkunden(ohne Reiseleiter). Man war insgesamt nur ca. 60 Minuten dort. Wir haben uns sehr gehetzt und durchgepeitscht gefühlt.
Uns wurde auch eine zusätzliche kutschenfahrt durch die Altstadt und Luxor Tempel für 10€ versucht zu verkaufen und eine nilfahrt für 10€ ebenfalls. Es wird argumentiert dass die Busfahrt sonst 1,5 Stunden dauert aber es sind nur ne halbe Stunde dann gewesen.
Anstatt nun Pause oder Mittagessen wie in der tourbeschreibung steht zu machen gingen wir direkt ins Tal der Könige, dort kann man nur 3 Gräber von 17 geöffneten anschauen und man hatte nur sehr wenig Zeit es in Ruhe anzuschauen da die Reiseleiterin gleich zur nächsten Station wollte. Und gemeint hat „alles andere ist nur mit extra Tickets möglich deswegen lohnt sich es nicht“. Wir waren nur sehr kurz im Tal der Könige obwohl es das Highlight sein sollte. Danach kamen die anderen Stops bei dem Steine Touristen Shop und dem h… Tempel und den 2 großen Statuen. Hier das selbe spiel man hat sich super gehetzt gefühlt und man sollte immer innerhalb einer halben Stunde wieder am minivan sein um weiterzufahren. Bis auf dieser Stein Shop natürlich, wo man irwelche Stein Statuen hätte kaufen sollen. Klassischer touri Shop wo man immer angeredet wird. Absolut unnötig dieser stop, die verschwendete Zeit wäre viel besser in mehr Zeit bei karnak oder dem Tal investiert gewesen. Die letzte Station war ein schlechtes Buffet Restaurant (wo wir wahrscheinlich in Kombination mit der Hitze der Wüste eine Lebensmittelvergiftung bekommen haben). Es war keine große Vielfalt und nicht lecker. Zudem kosten die Getränke mind. 3 Euro und da wir die ganze Fahrt nichts zum trinken hatten war das asozial. Nimmt selber mind. 2 Liter mit.
Das war’s dann Ende bei uns ca 15 Uhr.
Da wir gegen 5:30 los sind kamen wir gegen 10 Uhr in Luxor an und hatten nur 5 Stunden für alle genannten Stationen. Lächerliches Zeitmanagement. Die Rückfahrt hat auch nochmal Ewigkeiten gedauert.
Lasst euch nicht von den guten Bewertungen täuschen, oft wird man von der Reiseleitung angeschrieben und mit kostenlosen Touren etc. Geködert damit man seine Bewertung wieder runternimmt. Für das selbe Geld hätten wir gern was anderes gemacht. Ich als Historiker Interessierter kam null auf meine Kosten.
