Great experience - highly recommended
We did this tour recently and had an amazing time. Our guide Samir was great - very knowledgeable. He was able to explain a lot of history and really let us take our time and enjoy the day. In Dahshur we had the opportunity to enter two pyramids - and going through the narrow steep passages (we did one of them) was a real thrill. We enjoyed the open air museum and really loved going to Saqqara. Seeing the Step Pyramid complex was also an amazing experience. We had a great driver as well. This tour was wonderful and I recommend it.

Amazing excursion
A good option to get off the standard Egypt circuit and visit these fantastic pyramids.
Both the guide (Reda) and the driver (Mohamed) are wonderful people, kind and empathetic.
100% recommendation.

Wonderful Tour to Memphis, Sakkara and Dahshur Pyramids
I booked this tour for my group of 4 and cannot recommend it enough.
We were picked up on time at our hotel in a nice sprinter van with a/c.
Our driver was very nice and drove safely.
We absolutely adored our tour guide, Noura. She was very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Noura gave us plenty of time to see the sites and we did not feel rushed. We’re so happy we got to meet her!
The Sakkara, Bent and Red pyramids were incredible. Our favorite was the Bent pyramid because it looked unique. You could go into the Bent and Sakkara pyramids if desired. Memphis was a fun stop as we were able to see a big statue of Ramesses.
Overall, this was a fun, safe and memorable experience! My friends and I will cherish these memories forever!

Loved being able to get up and close with the oldest pyramids. Lunch was amazing couldve done without the lets go shopping afterwarfs to friends places. Maybe askmif people are interested first

Memorable part-getting inside pyramids, not many tourists.
Poor: I didn't find the guide's information useful at all. I constantly had to chase him even though I told him several times to wait for me while I was taking pictures. I was eager to listen to his explanations and had questions, but he was always far away, ahead of me. And I was the only client! He didn't even give me time to read descriptions on stands near pyramids or better should have told me the same facts himself, but no. If I didn't do preliminary research on my own, I would be lost.

Mixed feelings
The pyramids themselves were wonderful to see, an important part of understanding the history of this country and the development of pyramid structure. The experience in general didn’t inspire confidence- there was no formal signage or credentials presented, a dilapidated vehicle and a fairly casual attitude to everything, including the payment of entry fees, using our own credit card with cash reimbursement because the guide’s card had a problem. His information was interesting if not always accurate, but he was personable enough, although a bit tired of it all by the end I think. Could have done without the pressured and unadvertised carpet selling and self promotion asking for big tips! In all we enjoyed the places we went but felt a bit uncomfortable with the package and opted out of any more of these type of trips.

Great trip but could have been better
I had a great time with my driver and guide. They were very knowledgeable and the trip was not rushed. I managed to get around all the areas I wanted to including going inside two pyramids. However, like many things in Egypt there are some hard sell moments where I was taken to a carpet factory and paper factory where it was obvious we visited these places so comissions could be earnt, I would have prefered to stayed in the disignanted areas for longer instead of going to areas I had no interest in.

Great tour with even greater guide
I never take the time to write a review for a tour but in this case I just had to because of how great our guide was. We booked this tour for 3 people through Viator, price was very reasonable, our guide was Essam and I can't overstate how great of a guide he is. Extremely knowledgeable (we asked to stop at a mastaba that is not part of the usual circuit and he had no problem explaining all there was to know about it) and so nice. Also worth mentioning, did not even suggest stopping at any of the tourist trap stores (papyrus, perfume, jewelry) that are very common place with tours in Egypt.
10/10, ask for Essam when you book!!

Das alte Ägypten
Diese Tour war großartig. Der Reiseführer sprach sehr gut deutsch und konnte und viel über das Leben in Ägypten erzählen. Wir haben das Land kennengelernt, wie es wirklich ist, abseits der Touristenstädte. Vielen Dank!!!
