As per requested time will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which is around 3hrs drive to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Spend around 3 hours there then take the way back to Aswan.

Incredible trip to Amazing Abu Simbel.

A very informative and intersting tour. We learnt about some fantastic history from our guide Zack. He is very knowledgeable, it was like being guided by a Professor. Zack was friendly and patiently answered our questions. It was incredible experience! Our driver Hadi was good and safe. The temples are absolutely amazing! Every aspect of creating the temples, the reason it was built, The various Gods and how the Temple was shifted was well explained by Zack. (Zak sorry I did not get the spelling). Highly recommend this tour.

Viator is the worst company in the world

Awful service from viator. Our flight was canceled and they were unwilling to assist. Kept sending me to AI Also they deny you even booked them to avoid getting your United Miles. Awful company.

Zak is an absolutely...

Zak is an absolutely deserving 5-star guide. If I could, I would give him 10 stars. His explanations of Egyptian history were incredibly detailed, and he can even directly interpret some ancient hieroglyphs. The day before, we asked his agency if we could add Philae Temple to our itinerary, and he arranged it immediately with a very reasonable price! The whole trip was perfectly smooth. Highly, highly recommended.

Abu Simbel

Abu simbel is well away from Aswan, 3 hours drive, good road, but worth a visit. It's a well preserved place, very good.

Visit Abu Simbel

We booked the private guided tour to Abu Simbel with the pick up at 6 am in our hotel, which is located on an island. They did not warn us that we would have to reach the driver at a pre-arranged point on our own, despite the numerous enquiry emails and whatsapps sent to the tour operator and Viator in the previous days. We lost about an hour and a half in vain. Nice and good driver. The Italian speaking guide illustrated everything on photos (half an hour of explanation) outside the temples of Ramses and Nefertari, and then let us turn around alone for an additional hour. We would have preferred explanations within the temple.

Long but successful day to Abu Simbel

Very long day to Abu Simbel + additional stop at Philae temple. We left Aswan at 4:30 am but abu Simbel was busy already at 9 am. We really wanted to squeeze Philae , too and our guide Mohamed was helpful organising this as well as the tour for the next day. He was knowledgeable and also giving us freedom to explore by ourselves. He was also giving us tips about markets / shops and we really appreciated his help ! Highly recommended

Magdy was great!

Magdy gave us a most wonderful experience during our tour for Abu Simbel. He was very patient, gave us a great lesson, and answered any questions we had! He encouraged us to add on a tour for Philae temple and I’m glad we decided to go. This was our first out of two tours with Emo Tours. This tour was great! Our second tour with this company (for Luxor) was not so great. Booking with this company could be hit or miss.

Nice temple, bad guide

I must divide this review in 2. The temple of Abu Simbel is amazing, perhaps my favourite from all Egypt, so I definitely recommend to go. The driver we had, Mustafa was excellent, very friendly and kind person. Now it comes the bad side , the guide who was waiting for us in the temple tried to harassed my mother when I when to the toilet , he touched her back and the back part of the head , saying she was beautiful and so on. My mom stopped him at once, and the he took distance. I didn't know this until we finished the tour otherwise I'd have act differently... You know what I mean. So the guide lack of respect. Also his explanations were just ok and he didn't enter to the temple with us , just explained on the shades using some photographies.

Hamo was a great driver...

You can’t go wrong with Mohammed

Mohammed, our guide, was/is a particularly likable and good-hearted individual. He was well-prepared and pointed out several notable things for us to observe when we entered the Abu Simbel temples. Seeing as the guides are not permitted to enter the temples with we tourists, he accompanied his explanations outside the temples with some appropriate photographs, which I found to be particularly practical and helpful. Mohammed was considerate and thoughtful and made our visit to Abu Simbel an experience that we will remember for a very long time, Shukran Mohammed
