Marvel at the last existing wonder of the world - a fabulous experience! You will find a total of three pyramids here: the Chephren, Cheops and Mykerinos pyramids. You can discover the area on foot, on horseback or by camel. Duration between 2 and 3 hours.
After visiting the pyramids of Giza, you will go to the Great Sphinx, by far the largest and most preserved sphinx. It consists of a human head on a lion's body. The Sphinx was carved from the remainder of a limestone mound that served as a quarry for the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Duration approx. 20-30 minutes.
Since all buses have to wait for the convoy leaving Cairo for Sharm at the end of the day, you will make one or two of the following stops: characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oil Factory. These two attractions will familiarize you with the ancient Egyptian techniques of making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits will increase your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and will also help the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very old handicrafts from ancient Egypt. It was amazing especially pyramids and the trip with the camels. Our english tour guide Sarwat was amazing with sense of humour. And gave us all the important information that we have to know.

We had booked a boat trip with the MSC, where the last stop on the cruise trip was Porto Soghna. Since this is a cargo port and Cairo is only a good 90 minutes drive away, we booked a day trip online at very short notice (48 hours before ) via book Tour egypt. The organization went very well, all correspondence went via Whatsapp. We were a small group of six people. Our tour guide and bus driver did a very good job. What did we see? First the Egyptian Museum, the pyramids, the Sphinx and a small impression of Cairo. By the pyramids, the tour guide gave us to take a horse-drawn carriage to better see and enjoy the pyramids. We really don't have it ready. There was still enough time to Enterprise a small Nile cruise by boat. Conclusion: We saw a lot through the tour guide in the short time that we only had left and were able to get a small impression of Cairo. Value for money has definitely fit!

We really really enjoyed this trip. Sarwat was so funny and very knowledgeable about the history and culture and also knew the best places to go for good pictures. The papyrus and pefume stores stops felt more like an opportunity to sell items and felt a bit hassled to purchase. We were interested in the information aspects of these stops, however. The only negative would be the time it takes to get there and back. There are a lot of checkpoints to pass through and seems that buses are often stopped for a good 30 mins. We understand this is essential but it just makes for an exhausting day. Having said that, none of it affected the quality of the experience itself and we would highly recommend.

If you are in Sharm el Sheikh and still want to see the pyramids of Giza, this is a reasonably priced opportunity to fulfill that wish. A lightning visit it is, don’t expect to be able to walk through the Egyptian museum in peace, a quick tour of some pieces and a brief look at the tomb items of Tut Ank Amon. Then a short cruise on the Nile made not included but for about €10, also not very expensive was a relaxing moment.Bij de Pyramids a little more time. Too bad I found that the trip ended with a visit to a perfume and and a papyrus store, no obligation to buy but you have to make it clear that you are not going to buy anything if you do not feel like it. Prepare for a long bus trip, in our case between Christmas and New Year we needed 10 hours for both the outward and return journey. Our very friendly guide in Cairo explained that there are many police checks in the Christmas season, which delayed our trip. But even outside of this season I would count on 8 rather than 6 hours per ride. Despite the criticisms, glad we did it,

Cairo Tour Guide Sarwat was excellent . Very caring and keeping group together in friendly way. Bus journey was not planned I think as too many stoppage and then shifting to other bus that prolonged journey time

This was truly an amazing trip The bus trip we took was about 11 hours long with a stop half way at a rest stop (you will need to bring your own toilet paper for the toilets and bring food if you want to avoid having to buy it there). When we arrived we met our incredible guide Srawat, he was so well informed and took us round the museum telling us so much information, we went with him on a boat trip on the Nile (£10 each), taking pictures for us and giving us info about places we passed. At the pyramids gave us so many tips on how to avoid being scammed by salesmen for camel rides and pictures too. The entire time we were with him he was very helpful and reassuring (I was very nervous), and confidently acted as a sort of protector against people trying to get us to buy things we didn’t want. You could tell he really enjoyed his job and gave us so much information about not only the sights we saw but also what it’s like to live in Egypt, aspects of Islam, history and customs of local people etc. I would take the trip again purely due to his kindness and genuine nature. We were picked up on the bus again for the 11 hour trip back to sharm and taken to our hotel. Very tired but a truly amazing experience.

Our trip to Cairo was change due to lack of tourist. We agreed to change the day, but we went straight after arriving to the hotel. We went to Cairo at 00.30 on Sunday. We arrived to Cairo museum around 10am. Our guide Sarwad was amazing, he had very good knowledge of the city and the history, he was very helpful. Pyramids are amazing. Ride on the Camel lovely. Presentation at oil shops very good. We left Cairo around 17.30 and arrived to the hotel at 3am on Monday. Definitely the length of travel time was too long.
