Wake up early morning in Luxor for a hot air ballooning trip is an amazing experience. A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to the West Bank to enjoy air ballooning riding. Transfer to marine enjoy refreshment breakfast before you take the motor boat to the west bank, then you will be transferred to the take-off area where you are going to start your balloon ride in the sky of the biggest open-air museum ( Luxor ). The “Balloon Ride” trip departs daily, however confirmation in advance is still highly recommended. The balloon ride takes 45 minutes depending on the weather, before your land again, to catch your pick-up and return to your hotel.

Unforgettable sunrise over the west bank of Luxor
The experience is one of the highlights of my recent trip to Egypt. The views are breath-taking and the ride itself was very enjoyable. Our captain, Khaled, was fantastic and made us feel safe, while pointing out the sites on the west bank of Luxor. Don't go for the $15 optional video, the recorder is not on the balloon with you and will just record you on land and add generic aerial shots.

Up in the air, best experience ever
A faboulous experience, a must when in Luxor. We felt well taken care of in terms of information and safety. The pickup and transport was easy and comfortable with jovial and humorous guides. Finally the air journey was wonderful. The pilot was so good and made sure we went high, over the sights of interest, and making sure everyone could get a view. Of course we saw the sunrise, the local countryside and the Nile.

Amazing experience in Luxor!

Not only a fabulously beautiful sunrise experience but the professionalism of the captain and crew was exceptional.
The flight itself was beautiful and amazing. Watching the sun rise over the desert and floating in calm cool air over monumental archeological sites was truely wonderful

Don't take off from the landing site
Disappointing balloon ride over Luxor – no city views We were very much looking forward to our balloon ride over Luxor at sunrise, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. At 06:20 we were picked up and taken to the starting spot, where we saw dozens of balloons take off beautifully. But our balloon just didn't come.....After an hour of waiting we were taken on bumpy dirt roads to a runway, where our balloon had just landed and was being prepared for takeoff. With 26 people we got in and took off, but instead of a magnificent view of Luxor, we only turned 360 degrees above the desert. The pilot asked enthusiastically: “Everybody happy?” – to which most passengers shouted “No!”, because we saw nothing of the temples or the Nile at all. After only 20 minutes we landed again. We immediately filed a complaint with both the organization and our tour leader and eventually received the full amount back. Our tip: if the balloon takes off from a runway instead of the original takeoff spot, don't agree! You will miss the promised view and the real experience. Hopefully this review will help others avoid disappointment!
