After visiting the Pyramids of Giza, visit the Great Sphinx, by far the largest surviving sphinx. It consists of a human head on the body of a lion. The Sphinx was carved from the remains of a limestone hill that served as a quarry for the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Felucca cruise on the Nile is available for a fee.

The further course of the excursion takes you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The tour of the pyramids ends at the Sphinx and the temple surrounding it. At the end of the day, if time permits, you will have the opportunity to go shopping before embarking on the return journey to Hurghada.
If the return flight from Cairo is late in the evening, we will spend some time visiting the London of the Middle Ages (Khan el Klalili market), Old Cairo, recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage list, or Cairo Festival City, an extra-large shopping mall (air-conditioned), one of the largest in the Middle East. Full of the most famous international brands, restaurants, cafes and a huge colorful dancing fountain, where you will be drawn to Cairo's chic, modern nightlife.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in an air-conditioned car.
If we have time, we can make two characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oil Factory. These two attractions will familiarize you with the ancient Egyptian techniques of making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits will increase your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and will also be helpful to the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very old handicrafts from ancient Egypt. (These visits depend on the time remaining.)
Afterwards, your mind needs some rest. You can, for example, relax with a boat trip on the Nile and discover Cairo from the water.

Absolutely fell in love with the GEM museum and 2 1/2 hours was not enough so planning to come back as I will need minimum 3 days to see this legendary place The pyramids, sphinx, Nile cruise were brilliant. Only downfall was the lunch, absolutely disgusting and would not recommend to my dog. Looked nice from outside but cheap and bland cold food.

Sam is very professional guide but also extremely tricky. I did not like that the trip took 18 hours from which we were only 2 hours at GEM, 2 hours at Pyramids. Everyone had to take Nile cruise for extra cost which was terrible. We could buy souvenirs only from Sam's friends(and he even helped them to sell you stuff). If we tried buying from someone else - Sams mood changed instantly. Also at the end he even told everyone how much tip he should get from the group. So paying 260euro for the 18hours trip in which you only get to eat once - plan to spend at least 50 euro extra per Person

Hello, we are not very happy about the day because our plane left in the morning from Hurghada more than an hour late. We lost 2 hours in the morning and in the evening, the agency took us back at 23:20 from Cairo, the last flight and we left Cairo at 1:50. We arrived at the hotel at 4am! We sent a message to the agency asking for a small financial compensation because the airline will surely compensate them. We had no response from them. We are unhappy because in total we spent 4 hours at Cairo airport. In addition, arrived at the pyramids, the guide more or less forced us to do a camel tour that cost us 40 euros!!!! We paid 1065 euros per day.

Service providers on time, whether leaving the hotel, arriving in Cairo or returning: no complaints! Perfectly oiled! For the pyramid visas and the new museum, there is time even if it is counted on 1 day. Lunch in a restaurant close to the pyramids is a buffet like good hotels. Brief tiring day but impeccable timing. It is true that it is a little stressful to give the money in cash on arrival in Egypt but no worries on my side.

Very good attractions, Nile, Pyramids, Sphinx, Grand Museum to see the treasures of the pharaohs, Old Bazaar and Mosque. Very professional drivers and guides, explaining in detail the geography of the Nile, the pharaohs of various periods, the construction of pyramids, and different mosques. But our return flight was too late, 23:30. This is completely unnecessary. We've finished all the tours at 6pm. Plus, we're on a round trip by air, but the journey doesn't take much longer than a bus round trip. Our flight was 4:30, but the driver came to pick us up at the hotel at 2:20 and we arrived in Cairo to get out of the airport at 6:30. Although the flight time was one hour, the entire trip took over four hours. Maybe the bus round trip is not a bad option, at least you can sleep on the bus, whereas we can only rest for 1 hour of flight.

This makes for a very long day but it's a trip worth doing if you want to enjoy plenty of time at the pyramids, the new museum, lunch and seeing Cairo in general. No issues at either airport with smooth collection and return transfers. Our guide Mr fahmy was very informative and organized, he took us on a walk through old Cairo which was interesting.
