Picked up at 8.30 and were taken to the pyramids. Our guide was Ebrahim and he was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. We then went to the fabulous GEM museum again with Ebrahim who again was really excellent. We needed more time there but perhaps another visit at another time as there is so much to see. A very good day out.

It’s a long day and you need comfy shoes but the guide Ebrahim was very knowledgeable and was very attentive and was an excellent guide. We felt blessed to see the pyramids and the GEM was an experience not to be missed.

My guide Ebrahim knew everything about ancient Egypt and explained so much about the pyramids at Giza and at the Egyptian museum. The trip was very smooth with no issues waiting for tickets, transport or queuing. He also provided delicious Egyptian food and coffee.

It was an outstanding and very rich day tour with the guide/egyptologist Mr. Marco who excelled in providing important and interesting historical information. We experienced the best Cairo and Giza had to offer with our wonderful guide Nevin. This was the second time for some of us with Nevin and it was just as magical as the first! We had an incredible experience visiting the Pyramids of Giza, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Hayam. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared so much history in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. You can truly tell she’s passionate about what she does. What we appreciated most was how flexible she was—she let us adjust the tour to match what we were most interested in and never made us feel rushed. It felt very personalized rather than a cookie-cutter tour. If you’re visiting Cairo and want a guide who is professional, informative, and genuinely cares about your experience, I highly recommend booking with Hayam. We had just one day in Cairo, and despite arriving with no local contacts, we left with two new friends. Our flight was late, but our driver, Khaled, was patiently waiting at the airport hotel. He was fantastic—not only a safe and professional driver in Cairo’s famous traffic but also wonderful with our children. Our guide, Marco Naguib, is a true expert. As an Egyptologist, his knowledge is profound. He didn't just show us the sites; he translated ancient scripts on the spot and explained the deep history and meaning behind the exhibits. Both Marco and Khaled kept the kids happy and engaged throughout the tour, which made the trip stress-free for us. If you want a seamless, educational, and family-friendly experience in Cairo, I highly recommend Khaled and Marco. They turned a short layover into a highlight of our year!

Phenomenal experience. Nevin recommended we start at Saqqara because you can access the chambers before midday. Secondly it houses the oldest pyramid, and is the best place to start your history lesson in this amazing country. Don’t just rush to the famous spots, hire an Egyptologist (Nevin) and let them bring history to life. We stopped at the National Papyrus Centre on the way back, for a demo on how the different types of papyrus is made. No pressure to buy (which was lovey), and the it was onto the Giza Necropolis for the Sphinx, the pyramids, and also the other tombs of the many people who lived and worked on the site thousands of years ago (including a tomb for Khufu’s doctor!). Finally - the best falafel I have ever tasted. I have already booked another tour tomorrow for the Old Museum and Coptic & Islamic Ciaro. Cannot wait.
