Great tour for combining architecture and religious history
I had a great time and saw a lot on this tour! Anyone who is interested in architecture, religious history, or both will enjoy the experience. Simon was very friendly and knowledgeable and took me to a couple of local spots in the bazaar for items I was particularly interested in, and we had a nice little rest at one of the coffee shops. She also offered to take pictures of me at the various places we visited, which any solo traveler knows is one of the hardest things to accomplish on one's own. I recommend this tour and if you have Simon as your guide even better!

Our own private guide
When we booked this tour last minute, I didn't realise that our guide was just that - our guide - not one of a group of people - no radio mic with the earpiece that aches after 5 mins- this was a one on one guide all to ourselves. We met our guide, Simon ( Simone ), in the lobby of our hotel, introduced ourselves, and then we were on our way with our private driver (so cool). Our itenary was to visit Islamic Cairo, Coptic Cairo, Khan el Khalili markets, and a felucca ride. Right from the start, Simon was great, taking time to show us things of interest, pointing out historical items, and taking photos for us, of us. Unfortunately, due to an upset stomach, we cut the tour short, missing out the markets and the felucca, which i am sure would have been awesome. If you read this, and you get to Cairo, and you want to be treated that extra bit special, do yourself a favour and contact Simon. She knows her stuff! I'm keeping her whatsapp for the next time we come to Egypt.

Coptic Cairo tour
The booking process and communication from company wasn’t as smooth as I would have expected with messages being sent and then deleted, And offer of a reduced fee pick up was given and then removed without explanation. My guide Simon was very friendly and helpful and made my day a very enjoyable experience - her knowledge of Egyptian history and the places we visited was very comprehensive and I leave alot from her. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler and the tour was everything I had Hope and more.

Highly recommended guide and tour
Beshoy, my habibi, we want to thank you so much for our time together! Out of the three guides we booked via Viator, we must to admit that you exceeded all expectations. You treated us as family, took great care of us when our next tour guide (other company) stood us up. We felt the passion in your voice and stories on how much you like showing people around in Cairo. Nothing was too much for you, and while we visited some shops during the tour, we never felt obligated to buy something. We rather felt very much welcomed in the places you took us. And, I do not think we would have found those nose places on our own! Next time, hopefully soon, I will definitely plan another tour with you, and I want to advise everyone else to do so too! Private Tour of Mosque and Hanging Church
Great tour with guide Simone. Visited a mosque, the Hanging Church, and the market. We choose the lunch option, but it was a box, takeout meal. Simone and driver John were friendly and very informative.

Great experience
We really enjoyed the Coptic church. Our guide and also the driver, BisHoo, was very knowledgeable. He explained the church in details. We learnt a lot of information. We then went to the mosque. Due to my parents were elderly, BisHoo suggested for them to stay outside because of the long walk and steps. That was very thoughtful of him but I think parents could have walked slowly to see the mosque. The last stop was the Khan-el-Khalili. We parked the car quite far away from the main market. Parents had to walk at least 20-30 mins under the sun and they didn’t enjoy that at all. I think if there was a separate driver and dropped us to the main market then the tour would be more enjoyable for parents. All in all the tour was great and highly recommended.

Kareem the generous
Kareem was wonderful, he brought us all around Cairo. He was very informative as an Egyptologist! He is perusing his PhD and it really shows he knows a lot. Very friendly and let us live a day as an Egyptian.
