Saqqara is the biggest archeological site in Egypt and Contains over than 10000 Tombs and 16 Pyramids , you will have the chance to visit the first decorated pyramid from inside for king Unas from the fifth dynasty , during the day you will visit as well the ancient capital Memphis, and Dahshur Pyramids. First, Pick Up from Requested Location by your Tour guide to start your Journey across the three ancient necropolises. The tour will start by visiting the Saqqara necropolis, where you will visit the Pyramid of Djoser. This pyramid is the earliest colossal stone building in the world. This structure is a fundamental part of the Egyptian history as other pyramids was based on it with improvements.

The Sphinx of Memphis is a stone sphinx located near the remains of Memphis, Egypt. The statue made out from the Egyptian Alabaster , still in Avery good condition may be representing the very famous queen Hatshepsut 1479 BC. then you will start your journey back to your hotel.

We had a fantastic experience with our guide Ali on our tour to Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis today. Ali was very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Both Ali and our driver were very accommodating when we asked to see inside the Serapeum at Saqqara at the last minute. Would highly recommend a visit here to those who are keen to see more than just the busy pyramids at Giza. Exploring the tomb of King Unas and seeing the beautiful first pyramid texts inside was a big highlight! We also had fun learning some Arabic words and phrases with Ali. And he took some great photos for us too! He even took us to see how papyrus is made, which was a fun bonus. Our traditional Egyptian lunch was a delicious way to end our day. Would highly recommend Ali and GEM Explore Egypt tours! Thank you Ali!

I had a great day traveling around with Wael. He went into detailed descriptions of the places we visited. In Saqqara he showed me the figures carved or painted on the walls of the tombs and explained to me their meanings. I would have never learned so much on my own. He also told me the history about the different pyramids we visited. Definitely worth the price and the time.

Wow!! This was our 2nd tour with Weal and it was even more amazing than the Giza Pyramid complex. Saqqara was definitely our favorite place to visit so far. I would highly recommend booking both tours with Wael (2 days)…. He’s amazing!! Wael walked us through the Saqqara complex and told us the history of the Step Pyramid (Pyramid of Djoser) and the entire complex. He helped us interpret hieroglyphics and showed us the meaning of the tombs and artifacts. Then we went to Dahshur to see the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid. There were not many people in Dahshur and perfect for taking photos!! Then we went to Memphis and saw the Statue of Ramesses II, which was absolutely beautiful and perfect way to end of tour!! His knowledge of Egyptian history was perfect! Wael did not pressure us to buy anything and provided us good advice on the optional add-ons to the tour (I.e., inside the Step Pyramid). After the tour, we had a good lunch of local Egyptian food and coffee. Besides the “official” tour, Wael was extremely helpful in providing amazing advice throughout our time in Cairo including how to negotiate prices, advising us what to see and not us, getting the taxi, understanding local Egyptian culture and cuisines, and loving Cairo and Egypt! We went to the Egyptian museum the day before without a guide and wished we invited Wael to join us!! I would extremely recommend this tour group and ask for Wael! He’s amazing and we now have a friend for life in Cairo!! We hope to keep in touch and see Wael again in the future!!

Visited Saqqara & Dahshur Pyramids, & Memphis. We are so lucky & great fun to have Wael, an Egyptologist as our guide. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Wonderful tour with Ali! We got to Dashur before any other tour groups which was nice, still cool out. He gave us detailed information on Egyptian history and answered all of our questions. Kept us hydrated and informed. Would definitely recommend and do it as early as possible.

Ali and Mustafa (the driver) were great. They took us to all of the sites listed in the tour, and left us to enjoy our time without rushing us while we were there. He knows a lot about the history, and tells you how to get in each pyramid. He also speaks fluent Japanese if you need it!

This was the 2nd of our private tours and wow, it’s was amazing. We arrived at the locations in excellent time, with few other people on location so we’re able to appreciate the atmosphere so much more than somewhere with two many people bustling for position. The Red Pyramid enabled us to climb down a narrow shaft to the centre, via 2 cavities where we could see the precision building involved, unbelievable! The Bent Pyramid and stepped Pyramid at Saqqara were also unbelievable to see close up, impossible to imagine how they were designed and constructed so long ago. Memphis was another stop on the tour, our guide really new his stuff, explaining the history and giving us free time to take a good look around. It was Ramadan and out of respect for our guide, when the call to prayer started, we told him to go and join the others and come back when he was done, I think it’s important when travelling in Muslim countries to respect the local beliefs and where possible and appropriate, think of the local people. All in all, an awesome tour, with an awesome tour guide and driver and would certainly recommend them and personally use them again. Ali and Farouk, your company and experience was wonderful, thank-you for making our first stop in Cairo a memorable one. 🙏
