Egypt Nile cruise
Booking a Nile cruise through sites like Viator or TripAdvisor is like playing Russian roulette. You think you’re booking one boat, and you end up on another – it’s rarely the same as shown in the pictures. In our case, the boat was older and of lower quality than advertised. That was disappointing… but in the end, it didn’t matter. And that’s entirely thanks to one person: our guide, King Mina.
Mina, without exaggeration, was the highlight of the whole trip. He’s incredibly friendly, respectful, and has an outstanding knowledge of Egyptian history – he has a PhD in the subject. He explains everything clearly and with passion, and he’s always attentive to the group’s needs. If we wanted to change something in the itinerary, he was flexible. If we needed help with anything, he was always there.
For example, he helped me exchange money safely when we didn’t know where to go. My girlfriend’s birthday happened to fall during the cruise, and Mina even helped organize a surprise celebration on the boat with cake and live music - something we’ll never forget.
Throughout the trip, he took us to several local shops, like stone and papyrus stores, which were truly interesting. He was always in a good mood, full of positive energy, laughing, and teaching us Egyptian words when we asked. He even helped me order a custom polo shirt with my name written in hieroglyphs!
So yes… the boat wasn’t the one we booked, and it was frustrating to feel like we didn’t get what we paid for. But Mina completely turned things around. He made the journey memorable, fun, and genuinely enriching. We came home with beautiful memories – and above all, grateful to have met him.
If you decide to take this cruise, try to book directly with the cruise company – and make sure your guide is King Mina. He truly makes all the difference.

Comfortable and enriching experience
The cruise was very nice, the tour guide Mina was highly knowledgeable and very attentive. Food was generally good. I recommend this once in a lifetime experience to anyone.

Amazing tour with a great guide
Amazing tour! The cruise itself was lovley with great service, comfortable rooms and good food. The main highlight was our guide Mina, he was knowledgable, entertaining and very accommodating. He was always ready to help with any requests and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. A brilliant tour which I’d highly recommend!

Very good experience
It has been amazing, despite the early mornings to visit temple, it is all very well organized, you have time also to rest and enjoy the boat.
The room very comfortable and unbeatable views, of course very good service and helpful to its workers.
The exquisite food, except for the breakfast they give you when you leave early for excursions that are only two days, everything else makes it a very good experience.

Good overall experience. Communication and organization still to improve.
The experience was good overall, in terms of cruising, food, scenery and places visited. However, the organization leaves to be desired. The guide was never with us all the time, only the first day. Then they sent a different guide every day, some better than others. The most horrible thing was that they lie about the start time of the tour. I chose 10am as the start time, where I was supposed to be picked up from my hotel. That day I get a message from the guide at 8.20am telling me to be ready at 8.45am, because the tour started earlier.
It is not possible to do that, nor to play with people's time. One as a tourist has everything scheduled and if the booking on website says 10 am, it is 10 am, not 8.45. In the end, I missed all the activities on Day 1 because of their lack of communication and seriousness. They wouldn’t reimburse me for those activities and instead gave me a free tour to the Nubian Community.
However, one is not satisfied. All in all, it was fine, just and expected.

4 intense days on the Nile: great attention and amazing scenery.
Taking a Nile cruise was an unforgettable experience. The boat was in excellent condition, the pieces comfortable and clean, and the staff offered very friendly attention throughout the trip. In addition, they sell alcohol on board, allowing you to enjoy even more of the sunsets sailing along the river.
Of course, I recommend doing this trip with a lot of energy: it is an intense adventure. To visit the temples and archaeological sites, you have to get up very early — on average at 4:00 a.m. — as excursions begin with the first sun to avoid the heat of noon.
One point to keep in mind is that the cruise price does not include tickets to tourist sites or tips, so it is important to consider that additional expense in the budget.
In short, it is a great way to tour Upper Egypt in comfort, with unique landscapes and guided tours that are totally worth the effort.

Excellent cruise expedience
Great experience in cruise. The guide Mr. Khaled is very friendly and kind. He arranged every sight seeing very nicely and comfortably. Cabin rooms in cruise are bigger and clean. Food and service is also very good.
