Great snorkelling
Guides were friendly! Safi helped me out with my snorkel in the water and took some great underwater videos on my phone. The snorkelling and canyon were fun - but note you need to be atleast a bit physically fit for it - it’s a struggle getting in and out the water for snorkelling. Lunch was good and transport was good too. Wish we had more time in Dahab so we could have some free time.

Varied trip
We had a problem with pick up even though we had given our precise location. This is the 2nd Viator trip in Egypt which included water which we didnt get so take your own to be on the safe side. We were 4 English speakers with 8 Russian speakers. This meant our guide, Sharif, had to repeat everything twice which was time consuming and at times frustrating having to wait for the information. As well as the guide and driver there was also another person who took photos and video during the day - more of this later Now the more positives. Sharif changed the order of the day to ensure we had the best experience with less people The first stop was a toilet break and an opportunity to buy a scarf for quad biking and sun protection. After travelling further we all changed to one jeep. This was somewhat of a squash. My friend and I shared one front seat The guide hung on the back! We visited the coloured canyon and initially appeared to be the only group which was great. We did not feel hurried and Sharif was particularly helpful in assisting on the narrow part of the gorge. The jeep then took us back to the minibus. There was a short stop to pick up gear for those who were snorkelling. Even if you have your own equipment you have to pay for a life jacket and a recommended wet suit at a cost of 10 dollars. Onto the short camel ride. The person in charge appeared to be a young teenager and the camels were led by very young boys which I personally found unsettling and very sad but guess this is their culture amd way of life. The quad bike followed. There were no safety helmets but the terrain was mainly flat. We were then shown to where we were having lunch. Those who were snorkelling got ready and went off down the beach. There were mixed reactions from those that did this with some returning quite quickly but as I didnt snorkel I can't comment further. After lunch (chicken, rice and salad) we started the journey home We had a brief stop at a very small shopping area with tourist souvenirs and snacks. At this point the photographer asked for a Whats App contact and 10 dollars but we could not understand what we would get. It was very confusing so we didn't bother. Our guide also wanted us to do an on the spot review. Yes, there were a few hick ups along the way but overall we had an enjoyable day and would recommend the trip.
