Cairo, the museum and the pyramids were as described. Great. The trip to Cairo and back was a hell of a ride. Instead of the booked Big Bus with air conditioning there was an old transporter and an incredible driver. Chariot racing at 140km on these roads with a distance of 1 metre from the front man. While making phone calls and watching a feature film on the display. Fabulous.

The trip was great. You really feel like you have seen Egypt afterwards, even if the long journey is of course exhausting. Hanan (we hope to have understood the name correctly) was always super attentive and friendly as our guide. She gave us many great tips and did everything to make the trip as beautiful as possible. She also speaks excellent German! Communication with the travel provider was easy via mal and WhatsApp. The transfer bus was large and spacious. 2 bottles of water cost just €1. The Egyptian museum was great, but time was a bit tight, so you couldn't experience the complete exhibition. The visit to the papyrus workshop was brief but informative, with the opportunity to purchase papyrus works. The subsequent lunch was typically Egyptian and delicious. The pyramids are great, but you have to take proper care of scammers, which can sometimes be very penetrating. You can get to a great panoramic photo stpp by carriage or camel, where you can get the 3 large pyramids well on a picture. The coachman or camel guide then takes pictures. Attention: By carriage, the approximately 8-minute drive is unspeakably bumpy. But the photos turned out great, but he then demanded a pretty outrageous tip. Usual are probably 5 - 10 €, ours insisted on double and then wanted to change money with us - a possible scam that we were warned about at the beginning of the lead. Photos of the Sphinx can then be taken yourself after the pyramid visit. The Nile tour was quite nice, but you should be aware that Cairo is not the cleanest city, which you can also see on the short trip. All in all, the tour was a lot of fun and we take home many great impressions, which was not least due to our wonderful guide. The trip costs a few perennial grains, but is worth it.

It was an incredible experience to see the pyramids although it is a shame that we didn't have enough time to explore a bit more around the site. The whole trip took around 21h from Hurghada and it's understandable that the time was limited so we had to rush. Personally I would prefer to miss out on the perfume shop/ papyrus making just to have a bit more time in the museum and pyramids. Our guide was brilliant - always cracking jokes and very knowledgeable - big thanks to him!
