It was lovely, the temple is amazing and worst the travel! Our guide Dahlia was really nice and give us lots of infos, infortuntately we only had an hour in the temple and the tour was 7 hours not 9. We would have appreciate to have a bit more time in as we spent 6 hours on the road!

It suited us that the excursion started at 7:00, not very early like most tours. The drive took about 3 hours and 30 minutes. The car was clean and the driver drove carefully. We spent two hours at the location and the driver dropped us off in front of the desired restaurant in Aswan. I recommend this tour, the price and service were very good; other tours were much more expensive, even when I tried to arrange it through the accommodation owner. I was a little worried whether the driver would pick us up at the accommodation, because it was written somehow vaguely on the website, i.e. some meeting points are mentioned.

Regarding the journey we had an excellent driver on a trip of three hours, only that arriving there the guide hired for the tour informed us that he could not enter the temples and only showed us a book with photos and made a brief report on the history of the temples.

Driver was great he was on time and a fast driver. Guide at Abu Simbel was ok only gave about 10 min info. We needed more time at each temple bc it was very crowded and takes 15 mins to get inside.

We had an amazing experience on our private day tour to Abu Simbel. The drive was pleasant and comfortable thanks to our driver Shico who drove very smoothly and safely. He even went out of his way to take us to the nearest food place which we really appreciated. Our tour guide Madgy was fantastic. He explained everything in such rich detail and I asked him countless follow up questions to dig deeper into the meanings behind the monuments and history. He was extremely patient and thorough in his answers which made the experience even more special. His explanations were so engaging that I ended up making extra stops in Luxor to explore more. Overall, the tour was exceptional and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Egypt. Book with this company and you will not regret it.

The drive was about 3.5 hours each way. The road is not in good shape, but the driver was aware of all the issues and flawlessly navigated through them. The guides are not allowed in the temples. An hour before arrival he had a layout map of each temple with pictures of the key things to see. He explained the history and significance of each picture. He also answered the many questions I asked. When I entered the temples I knew exactly where to go and understood each carving/painting. It was like having the answers to an exam. Couldn’t be happier with both the driver and guide. If you can handle the heat (108 degrees F), then I recommend going in the off season. For a while, I was the only tourist in King Rameses II’s temple and with one other person in the Temple of Hathor dedicated to Queen Nefertari.

We had booked a driver and tour guide. If we had booked just the driver it would be 5* as I can’t say anything bad about the driver was a very good drive and of course the site Abu is amazing. Unfortunately we selected the tour guide option too which if the tour guide was just useless we could see past it but he was outright rude salesman trying to upsell us anything and everything which he spent more time doing than actually sharing any knowledge. As it’s a long drive it got quite awkward by the end where we felt it ruined the overall experience. I would recommend only booking the driver and skip the rest of the options. Driver and tour operator was good shame about the guide.
