Fun experience throughout. The guides were knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting facts and stories to color the amazing historical sites we visited.The travel coordination was wonderful. Not everything went smoothly, but company representatives made reasonable efforts to resolve all issues encountered. We will treasure the memories we made on this adventure.

We were 3 sisters visiting Egypt for the first time and what a fabulous experience it has been, thanks to Egypt Day Tours! Pros: 1. Excellent response time to all queries and requests. 2. Comprehensive understanding of international cultures and their requirements. 3. Polite, well-spoken, entertaining, enthusiastic and helpful team of guides, chaperones and drivers. 4. Point to point accompanying from airport pick-up to drop (seriously, we were made to feel like absolute QUEENS!) 5. Flexible options to suit individual interests and requirements. 6. Excellent knowledge of the country, sites, history and civilisation. 7. Entertaining guides who spin quite a yarn and explain the significance of the monuments visited. 8. Clean and luxurious car for transport within the country (ask for Nabil to drive you around Cairo, he is a very safe driver and is very capable at manoeuvring around tricky roads. 9. From the moment my friends and I reached to Cairo we experienced a 5 star treatment from Egypt Day Tours! Disclaimer - my apologies if I misspell any names - Osama, greeted us at the airport with a great smile and made us feel at home right away!! He had our visas ready (they cost $25 US) and accompanied us as we went through immigration. We were then handed off to Mustafa! What a nice guy he is!! He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable! I have no words to describe the immediate connection we felt with him! It was like if we already knew him from years ago! He took us to the hotel, Le Meridien (right across from the Pyramids of Giza - great location/ very nice hotel), he checked us in while we sat in the lobby taking it all in and in disbelief that we finally after all the planning had made it to Egypt! We then discussed to do an optional tour to the Khan Al Khalili market the next day (we purposely booked our tour to start a day later in case we had flight delays or were simply too tired from the long trip) and Mustafa arranged and went with us the next day! The market is a must do experience! Just remember that you must negotiate the price for EVERYTHING! NEVER pay the first price you get! Negotiate with the vendor until you feel what you paying is a fair price. I don’t think there is a way to ever know if what you paid is the right price so I go with what I feel comfortable paying for the item. If you don’t think is worth, just politely say Shukraan and go to the next vendor! You will have lots of fun and find great souvenirs at the market, specially if you go with our friend Mustafa!! That evening we went to the Giza light show at the pyramids with Mustafa - Nice show - and got to visit a local Jewlery shop to buy our Cartouches. The next day was the first day of our tour - we were greeted by Mahmood. (It took us a little while to connect with him because although we were all on time, he didn’t have a sign with our names and that created a little confusion for us) He took us to the Pyramids of Giza and the Cairo Museum. If you are the type of people who enjoys history being narrated to you as if you were part of Broadway play, hearing the characters come alive as you see the pieces of art and relics in front of you, then Mahmood is definitely the guide for you! He also gave us the red carpet treatment! The driver of our minivan that day was great too! He kept cleaning our van so it was impeccably clean every time we came back to it! There are no words for the joy we felt as we not only got to see the pyramids but to go inside of them and climb up to the top. (Not recomendable for claustrophobic people). Our next few days were spent on the Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, Egypt Day Tours set up our flights, Osama took us to the airport in Cairo and our new guide Mohammed (our lovely Super Mo as he prefers to be called, LOL! ) took care of us from there! We visited many temples, from Luxor to Abu Simbel, the valley of Kings, etc... the river cruise was nice! Nothing like the big ocean cruise ships but nice, clean and comfortable enough! The food was good and the staff was very friendly! Super Mo was so knowledgeable and definitely our style of guide! He shared lots of information, allowed us to ask questions and gave us time to take pictures anywhere where was allowed (after all, our memories from those pictures is what we get to keep after the trip, right?). Those 5 days with Super Mo were amazing! I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to see with my own eyes things from almos 7000 years ago from the beginning of what we know from civilization! What an honor!! Our journey ended in Aswan and we had to sadly say goodbye to another friend, our wonderful Super Mo! We flew back to Cairo, to then the next day drive to Alexandria, there we spend the day with Jean, another fine Young man who was a delight to spend time with! Our only regret is not to have spend more than just a day in Alexandria! From the moment, my friend (she was the spokesperson for her husband and me) started planning our trip, the communication with Ahmed Attarious - always responding to all of her questions; and there were many that we all had! - was excellent! He even took a few minutes at our request to meet with us in Alexandria! I will be forever thankful and grateful to Egypt Day Tours for organizing and providing such an amazing experience for us! We felt completely safe at all times and they genuinely wanted us to have a great experience!! I recommend Egypt Day Tours 100%. Mustafa and Super Mo, it was a pleasure to have met you! I wish you a lifetime of happiness!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Egypt Day Tours. Ahmed Attarious was so quick to respond to all my questions and to accommodate everything I requested when setting up and changing the itinerary. Osama met us at the airport with our visas and sim cards. He quickly got us through the airport, took us to the currency exchange counter, and got us on our way to the Le Meridian Pyramids hotel. We were initially placed in a smoking room. If you need a non-smoking room like I do, be sure to ask for a non-smoking room in the non-smoking building. Mustafa met us at the hotel and greatly assisted us during our time in Cairo. We enjoyed his company! I was elated to have Egyptologists to guide us through ancient Egypt. Super Mo was our guide during the Nile River cruise and Jean for Alexandria. We appreciated their exceptional depth of knowledge of ancient Egypt and for their patience with all our questions. Not only were they a wealth of knowledge, they added a lot of fun to the sightseeing. All the drivers were nice and polite and kept their vehicles clean. Our riverboat, M/S Royal Princess, was nice. Egypt Day Tours made seeing the sites and traveling within Egypt so easy, safe, and fun! In Alexandria, Ahmed went out of his way to meet us in person to say hello. I highly recommend Egypt Day Tours!

I'm going to give this a 5 star rating even though there were a few things that were a bit off. Ahmed is amazing! Always very responsive and helpful at all times prior to my trip and during the trip. Our guide on the 4 day Nile cruise with all that stops was Jorge and he was very informative and professional and my son and I really grew to trust him. Our first day in Cairo we toured with Mina Wasfy who made sure to take some fantastic pictures of my son and I together at the pyramids. Now some of the things that were a bit "off", when we were picked up from the airport the gentleman who picked us up provided the Visas and I paid him back. I found out later when I asked another American traveler how much their Visa was I realized I was charged $20 extra. When I questioned Ahmed, he told me there is a $10/person service charge to have them do this for me. I wasn't informed of this up front and I feel I should have been so that I could have made the decision as to whether or not I wanted to get them myself. Ahmed made sure the $20 was refunded to me which I very much appreciated. The 2nd issue we had was on our return back to Cairo from Luxor. When we arrived back at the airport there was no one there to meet us. I called Ahmed and he said our driver was on his way, but for 25 minutes or so we waited at the airport for him and felt quite nervous about it. We were finally picked up by a young man in his mid-20's and the driver (I apologize as I do not remember his name). He drove us back to the hotel and once we arrived asked if I wanted to smoke marijuana with him. To say I was shocked was an understatement as I am a 51 year old woman traveling with my 17 year old son, not a 25 year old girl traveling with a bunch of friends. I felt this was a very inappropriate thing to ask me and of course I told him "no" and reported the exchange to Ahmed. So - except for these few brief exchanges the trip was amazing and one that we will never forget. Because the great parts of the trip were so exceptional I am going to go ahead and give this a 5 star rating and forget about few questionable things that happened.

This company doesn't have their own tour guides and just resale you to freelance tour guides and cruise. The freelance tour guide was fake, and more interested in ripping us off than showing us a good time & earn his tip. Pro: - Booking was easy. - As for all private tour, they take care of all the logistic. - They greet you at the airport. Con: - We were told the sim card have 10 GB of data, it stopped after 2GB and doesn't work until we recharged it ourselves. - The 5-star nile cruise is a fake 5-star (guess all of them are 5-star). Old boat, and really bad food. - Tour guides don't allow enough time at the tourist attractions, and constantly nagging for tips. They weren't interested in showing us the attraction, and more interested in taking you to "papyrus museum" and "alabaster factory" (don't go, these are tourist traps). It felt like my private tour guide was sizing us up the whole time, to see how much money he can get out from us. Our Luxor - Aswan tour guide was pushing hard for us to do the extra Nubian village tour, even though we have already paid for the Abu Simben tour, and he know fully well we won't be able to cover both Abu Simben, Aswan, and Nibian village all in one day. - While on the tour, our tour guide demand a 5-star tripadvisor review, and "take a screen shoot and send to me". Sorry, I won't lie.

So far so good, booking was easy! Maro did an excellent job explaining the options and has been very responsive. We are all booked and looking forward to the trip. Friends recommended this tour company and we would recommend them as well.

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Egypt thanks to our guides: Khaled in Cairo and Magdy on the Nile cruise. Both were very good, friendly and knowledgeable guides, passionate about history. We spent a very enjoyable time with them. The accomodation in Cairo was perfect: Le Meridien Pyramid. The cruise ship (Radamis I) was a little bit outdated, but the staff did their best to compensate this, they were very attentive and the food was very good. Osama, who greeted us at the airport was very efficient. He helped us with the visa and also with the transfer to Luxor. The drivers were all very good (traffic in Cairo is crazy) and on time. Highly recomended!
