Fantastic day trip in Cairo!
Fantastic day trip in Cairo! Our enthusiastic and interactive guide made the experience so fun—snapping lots of great photos and keeping the day well-organized. The Egyptian Museum was informative, lunch was lovely, and exploring the old town was a highlight. Only wish we had a bit more info on the pyramids, but overall a brilliant, well-planned tour. Highly recommend!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A well organised tour
This tour was full on due to the early pickup time from the hotel but I would definitely say it was well worth it.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and everything was explained meticulously and flawlessly both in English and in Italian for the other guests that were on the same tour as us.
The Nile tour happened first which was very nice. This was then followed by the museum tour and then lunch, all of which were superb.
After lunch we did the Pyramids which again was amazing but do expect the locals to try and entice you into buying their goods which is to be expected. After the Pyramids we were taken to a local family run perfume store were we sampled various fragrances which was surprisingly nice. After that we stopped off at McDonald's and then to the airport for our journey back to Sharm.
The tour was well organised from the start through to the end and the guides made sure that everyone was closely monitored and looked after. Most importantly we felt safe.
As I mentioned earlier, this tour was full on and at times we all felt very tired due to the early start, however I would do it again given the chance. It was extremely enjoyable and a really good way to see one of the wonders of the world if staying in Sharm. Highly recommend.

Honest recent review for family
We went yesterday, family with 8 and 13 year olds. Very long tiring day but you are looked after the entire journey. Disappointed the collection time changed from 4am to 2:40am only to be sat in the taxi for an hour while we collected other people. Taxi driver was quite rude sending messages “bus will leave” at 2:35am when I had already replied to say we were on our way.
Other than that no need to worry about connections. We had to get our visa stamped in the morning so after checkin we went to passport control to a small office and it was done there before going through domestic departures. Taxi driver said it will cost more but it didn’t. Met by Ahmed in Cairo, there were 15 on the trip in total in 2 buses and he was a very knowledgable guide switching between buses and languages the entire day. No choice on how the day ran so we were taken for a coffee stop first then to the Nike cruise. £10 extra. You don’t have to do it and can wait with the driver if you prefer but it was a nice boat trip and quite a relaxing way to wake up. Then onto the museum. Very busy and without a guide it would take forever. My 8 year old is adhd and struggled a little with this but Ahmed was very informative and took us to the main points. Then taken to a papyrus shop. This is a tourist trap and would be nice if we could chose to leave this out. You don’t have to buy but staff are quite rude if you don’t so we got back in the van to wait for the rest. Then onto lunch. Very nice lunch but not much time. Then to the pyramids- amazing and Ahmed again guides us well. We did split into two groups those who wanted camel rides and those who did not. The camel rides were £10 he collects for first but then they won’t let you off the camel unless you pay more so again another tourist trip but you are in Giza so expect this. The younger guide did try to help when a sales man pushed “gifts”onto my children. Then expected money. Not much time at the sphinx and only taken to one view point which was the closest and when I thought we were going to the furthest view point we were taken to an essential oils shop. All very nice offered tea and to smell oils but all of a sudden you have 4 men waiting to take your order to buy and they are far from cheap. Again I feel optional. We had an hour spare so stopped at MacDonalds where Ahmed left us. A great day was had.
Pros: very informative guide, felt safe with our driver Mr X , not too much walking so kids managed well, bus hop
On off around the pyramids
Cons: charged adult price for 13 year old yet she was given child tickets for museum and Giza, tourist trap shops should be optional, for the price a separate taxi to collect us so not at2:40am!
Definitely felt safe and saw the site we wanted and would recommend them as a company to go with!

A Wonderful Day in Cairo
I took my two children aged 13 and 11 to Cairo with Book Tour Egypt and we had a wonderful day. I booked it from the UK as it was the main reason that I wanted to visit Egypt.
The communication via WhatsApp from beginning to end was excellent. I had lots of questions before I went ahead and all were answered promptly.
Khaled was our tour guide and met us in Cairo. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and so enthusiastic. He kept my children engaged and laughing throughout the whole day. They learnt so much from a truly unforgettable experience.
It is a very long day, early plane there and late plane back but well worth it.
The camel ride at the Pyramids was fantastic and the boat ride was lovely and relaxing at the end of the day.
Some people have complained about the perfume factory stop, but in fact it was a welcome rest in an air conditioned building after the heat of the pyramids. We didn’t buy anything and it was fine. The man even offered me another cup of tea after I’d said I wasn’t going to buy, which I thought was a nice touch.
Overall I would definitely use Book Tour Egypt again if I come back. It is so much cheaper than the main tour operators who do the exact same tour for almost double the price.

Amazing and perfectly organised.
The whole trip was amazing from start to finish. Communication was excellent. There was never any concern about how it would work. Pick up was seamless and the flights worked great.
The guide made the trip amazing, he was friendly and helpful. He knew loads of interesting stuff and the museum was really good as a result. Lunch was delicious, buffet style and lots of choice even for my picky 13 year old.
The pyramids themselves were incredible.
We took the extras of camel ride and boat trip. The boat was great, I didn't love the camel!
We did stop at the papyrus place and perfume place. Not for me but others like it.
Overall flawless (but long) day.

Best service ever
Great hosting, excellent time management & clear explanation by tour guide Mr Ahmed, full day utilisation. We had a team of 11 inc kids and were very happy with the tour in the very first time of asking. We highly recommend others as a trusted & reliable tour provider.

The Best Way to Explore Egypt
I booked a trip with Book Tours that covered Saqqara, the Giza Pyramids, and a Nile cruise which is optional and it was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, everything was well-organized and stress-free. Ahmed was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and brought Egypt’s rich history to life in such an engaging way. And Moukhta, our driver, was simply the best professional, calm, and always had a smile eveb with crazy cairo traffic 😅. If you’re a history geek (like me!), this experience is a must. I’d definitely book with them again without hesitation. Highly recommend even ad a solo trip!

Great experience
It was all right! Perfectly calculated organization and timing!
Drivers, airline tickets and attractions, everything's fine.
Our guide Benedetto absolutely very good, prepared and very helpful. He speaks fluent Italian and English with great mastery.
Also very nice organized lunch, in addition to the activities already planned by the tour.
Only clarification: we didn't have a single minute for the Egyptian museum shop, we ran out. but then a 30-minute presentation was organized in a perfume shop (activity not required / planned on the tour).
I wish I could buy freely at the museum shop.
Very cute souk ride led by Benedetto (not recommended to go without a guide).
