Far too expensive. But the guide and the driver was nice. However inform you paid us really very expensive a service where we had to pay to drink, there was a stop in a book was not planned: I hate this...

Luxor one day tour with Reflection Travel
- Easy booking, the previous tour guide we tried to book cancelled on us the evening before, we found this tour and booked in the evening and it’s got confirmed right away via Viator.
- Easy and punctual pick-up: our guide Smiley picked us up at the hotel lobby on time and greeted us politely.
- Clean and hygienic car and professional driver: we are a party of four, so one of us has to sit at the back of the 7 seaters. Not a big deal for us as we did not spend too much time on the car. The driver is helpful and polite.
- Time management: we were given sufficient time to explore which places.
- Helpful guide: I have lost my power bank to charge my phone a day before, I asked the guide to help me to find a local store to buy a new one. He went above and beyond to call his friends and took me to the store to get a new one with a fair price (the price that they sell to local people, not inflated to charge tourists extra. This is really thoughtful of him and he gave me faith that local people do not just want to exploit money from the tourists. I really appreciate his help on this!
Areas of improvement:
- Our guide has tried to explain what is showing in the paintings on the wall and ceilings of different temples. It has been helpful but the story-telling was a bit boring! It became repetitive so we are losing some interests towards the end. It is probably because English is not the most comfortable language for him. Nevertheless, he did tried his very best to make sure we have the best experience, thank you Smiley for taking care of us!

A big thank you to Reflections Travel !
We booked this tour and were provided a nice private car and a tour guide. The driver was safe, friendly and nice. The tour guide turned out to be a rookie who invented his own Egyptology on the fly! Combined with his non-existent photography skills, it was a potent unbearable experience. After the valley of the kings and Hatshepsut temple, we called Reflections travel to complain about the tour guide and they promptly replaced the rookie, tour guide with another one named Barry! A stark difference between the two tour guides.
Barry was clear, spoke good English, was very patient with the kids questions and knowledgeable. To cover what we had not understood he explained the valley of the kings, the Hatshepsut temple history, and even explained the Pyramids in Giza and how they all linked. He gave the proper official history, he told us about alternative theories and even speculations that were floating around but was careful to tell us when he was talking about unofficial versions! Barry is the kind of tour guide, one needs when visiting ancient sites. He can delve into detail as much as one wants. He even read a few Hieroglyphs and Cartouches to us! If you book this tour, ask for Barry or Dr.Moses who is also a tour guide who has his own dig in the valley!
We learned later the tour guides are provided by the Tourism department and given Christmas period, it was not in the hands of the tour company.
A big thank you to Reflections Travel for changing the tour guide at such a short notice and making our experience excellent overall.

Wonderful experience with Roshdy
We had an excellent experience with Roshdy as our guide in Luxor. He is extremely knowledgeable and explained the Valley of the Kings and the temples in a clear, engaging way that really brought the history to life. He was also very kind, professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our driver was equally pleasant and reliable, which made the day completely stress-free. Lunch was exquisite, served in a very nice place, and was a perfect break during the tour. Overall, this was a perfectly organized experience, and we highly recommend Roshdy to anyone visiting Luxor.

I don't recommend it.
Choosing a tour is important because I think Luxor sightseeing will be the highlight of your trip to Egypt after the pyramids in Cairo. From that perspective, I do not recommend this company, Reflections.
The tour I joined started at Karnak temple on the east side, unlike what was scheduled to be posted on the web. I didn't mind the change of plans, as it often happens, but then we moved west through the Luxor Temple, through the Valley of the Kings, Lunch and the Queen Hatshepsut Funeral Hall, and it ended unilaterally after 4pm, without visiting the Valley of the Queens or the Colossus of Memnon. I protested to the guide, but I didn't hear anything from the company. He even said, "I checked with the people of the Valley of the Queens and it closed at 16:00" (closes at 17:00), and the tour ended without completing the entire itinerary. We also protested why we didn't start the tour on the east side as planned, if the Valley of the Queens would close early, but our guide was too upset to handle it.
The true value of the tour company is called into question when these complaints arise, but the tour company has not contacted us (even though the guide said they would contact us). I don't expect much because it's Egypt, not Japan, but when I asked for a 30% refund from the reservation site in good faith, I only got a 500 yen refund. This amount is lower than the general admission fee to the Valley of the Queens (220 EGP), which was already included in the price of the tour, and I have to say that the rest were scammed.
After all, the problem is that tour companies are not properly educating and working with their guides, and due to the poor quality of guides they have, it is not recommended at all to take this tour and leave your valuable day of travel with such companies.
It's a precious thing for them tour companies, but for many travellers it's something they don't have many times in their lives. We would like to comment on the above in the hope that your trip to Egypt will be better if you are visiting this site.

A little hasty but unmissable
Challenging to see everything in one day, but unmissable to savor the beauty of the legacy left by a legendary civilization.
I was there in December with 24 degrees, I think in the middle of summer it is slightly more tiring.
In any case, the emotion felt is unforgettable.

Great tour/driving duo
We had our tour today with Mohsen AKA Moss the Boss and our driver Yousef. Mohsen was incredible and very knowledgeable. There wasn't a single question he didn't immediately have an answer to. He helped us navigate the crowds, avoid the hawkers and displayed some excellent photography skills. I would highly recommend him and this tour.

Great experience
The sites are interesting and full of history.
The guide and driver were very welcoming , helpful and interesting.
Only thing that can be improved is if the guide could accompany to the temples to provide in depth understanding

Rameses tomb and Luxor temple brilliant but tour not worth the price.
This was a mixed experience. The Rameses additional cost tomb was exceptional and worth the visit on its own. This was not a cheap trip but did not reflect in the actual event. The guide seemed quite knowledgeable but started by not having enough tickets so I had to buy my own then talked for an hour inside the ticket office (too long) area before telling where to visit then went off for a coffee until we finished. Not impressed. I told him I was concerned we would not get to see all the itinerary but he said plenty of time more than once. In the end we missed the Karnak Temple which was a big one to see. Luxor temple was good. Only time to park on the road to see the Colossi of Memnon.
…and who asked for the pushy visit to a perfume shop. When I told them up front I wasn’t going to buy anything the guide was not happy.
Ps. I did get my money back for the tickets but challenging as I didn’t take my wallet. Lucky had my phone.
