Egypt Holiday
I think that my holiday to Egypt was amazing. I'd recommend it to loads and there's so much to see and explore. The tour from Luxor to Aswan was great. The guide's name is called Mustafa Ragab and the company is Imperial Egypt. Mustafa was very helpful throughout the tour, was informative about the places we visited and readily answered our many questions about ancient Egypt and Egyptian life in general. Our thanks to Mustafa and to Hany in Imperial Egypt's head office.

Great experience and a top customer service! :)
Super responsive on wts app or FB!, we had no clear plans 1 week previous to our flight and thanks to Hamy we solved it all in less than 72h, he took care of everything and our experience with the Cruise, Solaris II, was great, great value for Money.
We had also an extraordinary guide, MOMO!! such a nice humble guy, he was with us during the cruise always in great spirits and answering any extra question we had.
100% recomendable , we had a great time to discover all temples.

A marvelous experience with a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious guide
When I was asked to go to Egypt on a business trip, I knew I couldn’t miss the opportunity to also visit the rests of its glorious past. However being a solo female traveller, I felt it may have not been advisable for me to go explore it independently as I would normally do. This is why I did a lot of research and read hundreds of reviews on TripAdvisor – here is where I found Imperial Egypt and set my eyes on a Nile cruise.
Mr Hany has been very helpful and kindly responded to dozens of questions - I was constantly reassured that all was taken care of and that the cruise I specifically requested was booked for me.
Upon arrival at the airport, I was promptly picked up and taken to the Blue Shadow II (route Luxor to Aswan, 5 days/4 nights). The boat is nice, food is of good quality and staff is super friendly. From housekeepers to staff in the restaurant and sundeck bar (especially Mustafa), everyone welcomed me with a smile and ensured I was happy at all time. Despite being on my own, I never felt alone or at any point in ‘danger’.
However, I feel that it is my guide Motaz who’s made my holiday truly unforgettable. We immediately clicked and after spending 5 days talking and laughing about everything and anything, I was quite sad in telling him good-bye.
Motaz’s knowledge, experience and passion make him the PERSON you want at your side to take a journey into Ancient Egypt. You can tell he loves his job by the lively way he brings stories and facts to life and the palpable enthusiasm in explaining you this detail or that figure in this column or that statue. Basically I followed him site after site in awe, and eventually understood why he couldn’t say which place was his fave – all of them have something unique and special, and his commentaries made them even more so.
He’s also shown to be incredibly attentive and thoughtful – from day 1 I knew I was in expert hands and all I had to do was ‘sit back, relax and enjoy’ as for everything else, Motaz was on the case. For example, as soon as I was told we would have used a horse carriage to reach Edfu temple, I expressed few concerns as I had previously seen horses treated badly. In the morning, he looked at all chariots available and chose the one where the horse looked healthy and well fed and asked the driver not to flog the animal on our way to the temple (with the incentive of a good tip).
All in all, at the risk of stating the obvious, I’ve had a wonderful time and would redo all of it again, if I could. So if you are considering doing the same experience (which you should :p), look no further and, above all, ask for Motaz.

Adventure awaits you with Mido!!
The 5 day 4 night cruise was the perfect amount of time and a great way to wind down our travel in the country. I would highly recommend this option —- AND if possible request your guide to be Mido!!! His passion for Egyptology, history, and his country is infectious —- your grade school lessons will come to life!
Egypt is not an easy place to navigate and can be incredible intimidating for any traveller - regardless of experience - For our travels we did a combination of our own planning and a facilitated portion with Imperial Egypt. As noted, my wife and I were fortunate enough to be connected with the most excellent guide (Mido). His attention to detail, his knowledge, and genuine care for you and the time you have in the country made our trip go from good - to amazing! Mido made sure on the first day to get to know what type of traveller we were and catered the tour and information to our needs. (We love lots of info —- but also time to explore on our own —- and he struck the perfect balance.
The cruise ship (of which there are a few) was good; clean, staff was friendly, and the food was good. It is important to note that my wife has a severe food allergy (Epi-pen level) to gluten and the kitchen was incredibly attentive and we had zero issue. The ship was also a great way to see the Nile and cool off in the cold pool after a day of exploring. But, at the end of the day the star of the show was Mido!

Amazing experience with Imperial Egypt and HADY
My friends and I did a nile river cruise from Luxor to Aswan with Imperial Egypt Tours and the entire itinerary, service and accommodation did not disappoint. We stayed in Amwaj boat which is one best ships in river Nile. The room is decent in size, bathroom is clean, staff are friendly and food is great. We visited attractions, temples and tombs that are on our list. Big thanks to our tour guide HADY!!! Woohoooo!!! Make sure you ask for him to be your tour guide. He is very knowledgeable with Egypt’s history and culture since he’s an archaeologist and Egyptologist. Highly recommended if Egypt is in your Buckelist. Thank you Imperial Egypt and most especially to our tour guide HADY for making our trip a very memorable one. 🙂

Great experience taking the Nile crusie
We had the most amazing time taking the Nile crusie!!! Our guide, motaz, made our trip even better.
Taking care of us in the hot weather and not forgetting that he is very knowledgeable.

Nile Cruise with Hady
Nile cruise with Hady was a wonderful time spent. Great knowledge about all the sightseeing and always concerned about our well-being.
He was always on time and on schedule, even when we asked to adjust the initial plan.
We definitly recommend Hady services to anyone visiting the Nile!

Motaz is the man, EXCELLENT guide
I have been traveling around Africa for six weeks and Motaz was one of THE best guides I’ve had the pleasure to learn from and experience history and culture with. Motaz is friendly, speaks EXCELLENT English and is very knowledgeable about Ancient Egypt having not only studied tourism and Egyptology but also having worked on a French-led archeological dig in Egypt. Our cruise highlights included the Egyptian food dinner where Motaz sat at our table, explaining the dishes and chatting about modern day Egyptian culture, politics and trends. We loved Karnak temple, the Crocodile museum and our (optional but recommended) visit to the Nubian village where we visited a school, learned some Arabic and tried some Nubian dishes. We were very happy with the quality of service we received from Motaz. He was communicative texting the day’s itinerary to us and explained the tipping culture in advance on day one so we knew exactly who to tip when and how much. He delivered us to our guest house boat driver on the last day of the cruise. I would recommend Motaz for any tour. He guides all over Egypt and really made our time on the Nile special.

Best Price and So Friendly!
I did hours upon hours of research for the best Nile River Cruise for the best price and this is by far the best value. Everyone in the company is so kind, we even got upgraded to a private tour (helped that it's off season) ! We were two American women and felt safe the entire time, our tour guide was Amr and he was so kind and knowledgeable, he even taught us more about his culture and answered our millions of questions during down time. Please remember tips aren't included, but this is typical for every tour you will take in Egypt. The boat we were on was Jaz Crown Jewel and it was great. Well worth the price. Keep in mind if you come in the summer there will be a lot less tourists and things will be cheaper but it is HOT. So bring water! Amr can help you get water or other things you need during the trip and also make sure you don't get ripped off as some places charge tourists more. I will say my experience would have not been the same if I did not have an amazing tour guide. Thank you again Amr!

The good, bad and the ugly
This review is for Solaris II, we did the cruise with Imperial Egypt from May 27th to 31st from Luxor to Aswan.
The good: The cruise is must do along the Nile, as you get the unique perspective of sailing along the Nile and watching life go by while you sit in the comfort of your hotel room. Also, a couple of sights are accessible only by boat, so it would be a little hassle to visit by road. Let alone the fact that road travel between Luxor and Aswan would be boring without Nile on the side.
The staff is very attentive, and the front desk do try to accommodate reasonable requests.
The bad: The food on the menu is buffet and I felt it was recycled from lunch to dinner to next day lunch, and so on, at times. The staff, except for front desk, barely spoke any English and communication was hence difficult, or non-existent.
The boat stays docked as a floating hotel in both Luxor and Aswan for 2 nights each. The actual "cruise" i.e sailing only happens on 1.5 days of the 5. Hence, the itinerary can be modified and optimized, I feel.
The TV channels did not work, and WiFi was super expensive at $4 USD/hour. I would suggest bringing a Wifi router or personal sim on board for internet, and a USB hard drive with your favorite shows/movies to plug into the TV. Since we did not have these, the afternoons and evenings were very boring, pretty much waiting for dinner, unless there was tea/coffee, which was there only a couple of afternoons.
The ugly: I had loose motions and vomiting on the 4th day of the cruise, mainly because of the salad during one of the buffets. Because of which, my last day on the cruise was just resting and using the toilet in the room.
Now for the guides, who were with us from Imperial Egypt. Our guide in Luxor, was great and knowledgeable, but most of the other guides were substandard. Also, it would be great if the company asked for extra money for tips right upfront with the booking, instead of making the customer pay every taxi driver, horse carriage etc. individually. It's not about the money (though "tipping" is a weird concept in Egypt where everyone expects a set amount and not a percentage, weather they do the job right or not, or if even if they don't do anything extra for the customer), but rather the inconvenience of keeping extra money and change handy all the while.
