The village provided housing, facilities, and support for the skilled artisans and laborers who worked on the royal tombs. These workers were highly skilled and specialized in various crafts, including carving, painting, and sculpting.

    Colossi of Memnon are a pair of massive stone statues located on the west bank of the Nile River near Luxor, Egypt. They are among the most famous and iconic landmarks in the area. The Colossi of Memnon depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned during the 18th Dynasty of ancient Egypt. The statues originally stood at the entrance of Amenhotep III's mortuary temple, which has since been mostly destroyed. Each statue is about 18 meters (60 feet) tall and weighs around 720 tons. These statues are made of quartzite sandstone and are intricately carved, depicting the pharaoh seated on a throne with his hands resting on his knees. Originally, the statues were further adorned with colorful paint, although most of it has faded over time.

A wonderful day at the West bank

We spent our first day in Luxor with Abdel who shared his passion for ancient Egypt with us with energy (and patience!) Special mention for our driver Mo! In short a beautiful day at the West bank. Thanks again to Abdel and Mo.

Best tour Egypt: luxor west bank

The best tour in egypt,.. I have done many tours, but i must say Abdel is the best egyptoligist i have met, he is very passionate about history and really tells a detailed story of all the sites we visited. He was also extremely patient and kind and organized the itinerary perfectly. 10++/10 Thank you for the amazing experience!

Good day out made great by our driver Mo. driver was on time and car was nice and clean. Mo was very knowledgeable and gave us great advice. Had plenty of laughs throughout the day but more importantly his driving was nice and safe. Thank you Mo

The guide does not come...

The guide does not come into the tombs . He stayed at the café at Valley of the kings while we went into tombs. Started on time. Car driver Abdo was helpful when I left my coat behind and bought it back . However after I made sure guide came and met us after we got out of Seti 1 tomb and Tomb of Ramses , it went fine. Good knowledge and English wax reasonable

West Bank temple day trip

Went on a day tour to see West Bank tourist spots. Driver (Mo) turned up on time, car was very nice and clean but best of all his driving was great and safe. He had good local knowledge and we enjoyed many laughs. Mo made the trip. Thank you Mo
