Been meaning to do this for years and it didn’t disappoint, everyone should do this, the pyramids and sphinx are incredible and the museum whilst still not fully open you could walk around for days. Sameh my guide was fantastic with just the right amount of information and the driver Mohammed also.

Great day, although did not start smoothly. Due to a similarity of names and timings, we left with another tour guide for another tour by accident (Sorry Polly & John), and Haitham phoned us and assured us he'd be waiting for our return. We drove first to the GEM, which is a beautiful building from the outside, and awesome on entry. The presentation of the exhibits is dramatic and informative - we'd visited the Egyptian Museum the previous day, which although fascinating - was a little disorganised, dim in places and a lot of artifacts with no description - here everything was well lit, stunningly displayed and comprehensively described. The scale of some of the statues was amazing. Haitham patiently gave us the background to all the key items, putting them in a historical context. He was very knowledgeable, and could answer all our questions. He let the subsequent drives and visits to the Giza pyramids and sphinx run at our pace, checking if we wanted more time anywhere, or if we had any further questions. The pyramids were very impressive as well - we did not feel we had to clamber over them, they were more impressive from a bit of distance. Haitham and his driver then took us to a great location to view the pyramids from a short distance, with groups of camels resting in the foreground. Then a visit to view the sphinx - again a unique experience - before being returned to our hotel at the end of a day we will remember for some time.

Michael is an extremely knowledgeable Egyptologist and it was great discovering Giza with him. He was friendly throughout and also gave us insights about life in Egypt. During the tour, he made sure to show us the highlights of GEM and have us ample time to roam around the Giza complex. I'd surely come back and book another tour with him in the future.

Mohammed Emshemi was guide and he was brilliant. Great day out, saw lots and Mohammed got us into everything quickly whilst covering rhe history well. Lunch was also excellent and the highlight was the brief camel ride!

Mimo was our English tour guide for the Giza pyramids and grand Egyptian museum . He was very attentive and affable. He made our group's comfort the top priority. We started early to avoid the crowded Giza pyramids site. He recommended saving the pyramid inner sanctum visit for our next day trip to saqarrah and I think that was a good decision. He took care of us very well over the entire trip and we had great engaging conversations with him about politics, culture, food, geography, history and many other things. He made sure my vegetarian needs were looked after for lunch and helped us make last moment bookings for ATV rides in the desert with pyramid views and another tour for the day after. Overall I fully recommend him for an English speaking tour.
