The Sphinx of Memphis is a stone sphinx located near the remains of Memphis, Egypt. The statue made out from the Egyptian Alabaster , still in Avery good condition may be representing the very famous queen Hatshepsut 1479 BC. then you will start your journey back to your hotel.

We toured with Anan, who was so sweet and informative taking us around the archaeology sites. She answered all our questions about ancient Egypt and the modern day. Anan let us decide the pace of our tour, and she really took care of us helping to get tickets, explaining the food ingredients and dish names at lunch, and helping us negotiate a bargain for perfume. It felt like a girls’ day out! We just had the best time. Thank you Anan!

Gigi was a terrific guide. She explained the history of Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis so that we could understand the importance in history of the areas we visited. Gigi was knowledgeable and numerous and we would highly recommend her as a guide. We were so glad we took this tour before seeing the pyramids of the Giza plateau as our understanding of the order of history was enhanced.

This tour provided so many sites in one package. The drive throughout from beginning to end was very smooth and convenient. The pace was perfect and I never felt rushed with so much to see and explore. Ali the tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a very detailed understanding of all the sites involved in the tour.

This was a fantastic day exploring! While the Great Pyramids of Giza are crawling with tourists, you can exploring some of the Pyramids of the earlier dynasties (including the Step Pyramid in Sakkara, the first Pyramid built in Egypt) with practically no one around! We had the Red Pyramid all to ourselves! For a small additional fee ($3US approx) you can climb down into the Red and Bent Pyramids and explore inside. It’s amazing!!! Memphis has the large recumbent Ramses II, which is so impressive. A nice buffet lunch followed our tour, could not have asked for a better tour. Our guide Ali was very kind and knowledgable, was on time for pick up, and never made us feel rushed. Stopped for us to get drinks and dates from a street vendor. Driver Moustafa was great as well, good driver. Highly recommend this tour!!

What a splendid trip back in time! The driver was prompt and professional. I felt safe as a solo female travel going to meet the guide. All key details were provided ahead of time along with photos of the driver and the guide. You will have no regrets with this tour. Mr. Wael was my guide and he has over 20 years of experience. Not only did I learn key historical information, architecture design, archeological knowledge, new excavation projects, ancient Egyptian words, how to begin reading hieroglyphs, but I gain great insight into Egyptian culture. The restaurant for lunch was festive and the traditional Egyptian food was delicious. Not only would I highly recommend Mr. Wael, I would have no reservation booking him for future trips. His a rare gem when it comes to Egypt and its history.
