The Best Tour We Had in Egypt – Salwa Was Amazing!” 🇪🇬⭐
We had an absolutely amazing experience in Luxor with our guide, Salwa! We have already taken other tours in Giza and Cairo during our trip, but I can genuinely say that this was the best tour we’ve had in Egypt so far.
Salwa was incredibly knowledgeable about Egyptian history and explained everything in such an interesting way. She took us through both the West Bank and East Bank, including the beautiful Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and so many other incredible places.
She also went out of her way to help us with things that weren’t necessarily part of the tour. She took us to see Egyptian oils, helped us while we were looking for a nice gold chain, and at the end took us to see how the local stone pieces are made. Those extra experiences made the day feel much more personal and special.
I honestly could have stayed there asking Salwa questions about Egyptian history for another five hours 😂 but unfortunately, I think she eventually needed to go home!
A huge thank you to Salwa for her knowledge, patience, kindness, and for making our time in Luxor so memorable. And a special thank you to our driver as well for taking such good care of us throughout the entire day.
If you are visiting Luxor, I highly recommend Salwa. She made us appreciate Egyptian history even more! 🇪🇬❤️

Perfecte tour
We vonden de tour geweldig! Onze gids, Salwa, was ongelooflijk deskundig. Ze studeerde Egyptologie in Caïro en kon ons zoveel fascinerende dingen vertellen over alle verschillende sites. We hadden een privé-tour, wat betekende dat Salwa de tour kon aanpassen aan onze behoeften en wensen.

Onze ervaring was werkelijk uitzonderlijk van begin tot eind. Salwa was een uitstekende gids — warm, deskundig en ongelooflijk geduldig. Ze liet ons niet alleen de bezienswaardigheden zien; ze leerde ons onderweg zoveel fascinerende dingen, waardoor de hele reis zowel educatief als plezierig was. Wat we het meest waardeerden, was de royale tijd die ze ons gaf om in ons eigen tempo te verkennen, waardoor we ons nooit gehaast voelden en ons volledig konden onderdompelen in elk moment.
Onze chauffeur, Abdul Abu, was evenweder prachtig. Hij was beleefd, attent en maakte de reis gedurende de hele tijd comfortabel. Zijn rustige rijstijl en vriendelijke aard voegden een extra laag van gemak toe aan de dag.
Het aangeboden eten was absoluut heerlijk — vers, smaakvol en een hoogtepunt op zich. Het vulde de ervaring perfect aan en toonde de culinaire rijkdom van de regio.
Over het algemeen overtrof de gehele ervaring onze verwachtingen. Van de gastvrijheid tot de begeleiding, het vervoer en het eten, elk detail werd zorgvuldig behandeld. We vertrokken met een gevoel van verrijking, goed verzorgd en met de wens om terug te komen. Sterk aanbevolen.

Good Driving, Very Pushy Driver & Commission Lunch Spot
Decent service, but the driver’s pushy behavior was exhausting.
The transfer service itself was so reliable, and the vehicle was clean, spacious, and well-air-conditioned with smooth, safe driving. But the driver was a very poor fit for us.
From the first 5 minutes, he maintained an overwhelming level of high energy and constantly forced us to read old reviews from past Japanese clients I know we're from Japan so expecting a reaction every time.
Since we only hired a driver—not a full tour guide—we just wanted basic updates on the locations, making the constant forced conversation mentally draining.
The biggest issue was lunchtime. Around 1:00 PM, we asked him to recommend a local lunch spot. In Luxor where a delicious meal usually costs around 200EGP whex we visited but he took us to an overpriced venue with no set menus, leaving us with an unexpected extra bill of nearly 1800 EGP for two people (paid by card). Meanwhile, the driver appeared to be getting his meal for free on commission.
Later, he insisted on taking us to an souvenir shop promising we didn’t have to buy anything. Having lost all trust in his recommendations by then, we refused and asked to be taken straight back to our hotel.
At drop-off, I declined to leave a review on the spot, but the driver (Abdrboo) repeatedly pressured my husband with an aggressive, intimidating demeanor to leave a positive Google review specifically mentioning his name.
While the company's baseline service is fine, your experience will heavily depend on driver compatibility. If you prefer a quiet, low-pressure ride without aggressive upselling or over-the-top self-promotion, this particular driver might not be for you.
