Private tour with an exceptional guide Mark
Wow! Where do we start?!
After thinking (and talking!!) a lot about which trip would meet our requirements, we settled on the Small Group Private tour.
From the moment of booking, even pre trip, communication with the travel company was spot on, with specific details and times of pick up.
Carlos, our driver, was spot on, collecting us on time and taking us to the meeting point with other groups of tourists, all with high levels of excitement of the day ahead.
Moving West as the sun rose, towards Luxor, we were treated to an amazing sunrise with spectacular colours bouncing off the desert mountains 🏔️ .
We got to Luxor bang on time and were greated by the wonderful Mark, who’s first words to us were to welcome us to his family. We were more than VIPs, more than his guests and it came across that way!
He explained the programme which he had created for our day which had obviously taken a lot of thought, time and consideration.
Starting at the Karnak Temple, he shared his vast knowledge, experiences, opinions, sense of humour as he guided us through. There were plenty of opportunities for photos and also advice on how to manage the ‘sales men’ on the way out.
Following the temple visit we headed for The Nile, in blistering heat but with a refreshing ice cream in hand, provided by Mark.
We had the option of detouring for a brief visit up to Banana Island, at a small additional cost, and we are so glad we did! It was filled with local experiences, with the group welcoming us into their home, treating us to a demonstration of their skills and an opportunity (not forced) to purchase some local produce!
After this, we headed back downstream to our lunch stop. Again, with so much thought and planning, we were treated to local cuisine, tastes, spices and dishes.
En route to the Valleys, we stopped in a local store for a demonstration on local skills and papyrus making! This was such a unique opportunity for us and to be able to purchase our own unique gift was such a privilege and reflection on our visit to Luxor and the Nile.
With spirits higher that the temperature (a cool 41 degrees) we headed to the Valley of the Kings. Again, using his experience and knowledge, Mark was able to navigate his way and lead us through the crowds who had headed in the opposite direction. We went to three tombs and also took the option to pay to see the legendary tomb of King Tutankhamen - certainly brought some tears to the eye and what an awesome experience.
We headed back to Carlos, who was once again on hand, with air conditioning very welcome indeed, and to our second visit of local skills, using the land’s resources to make statues, ornaments and plaques.
We were really pleased that there was no pressure on us to buy anything, a welcome change from previous trips, and again, we were able to purchase our own unique piece of art.
Our trip ended appropriately at The Valley of The Queens and we took every opportunity to use Mark’s knowledge and guidance to visit every area of the mountainside!
Such a wonderful day, and we are so grateful to Mark for his time, sharing his passion and deep knowledge with us, welcoming us into his Luxor and making it ours for the day!
Also grateful to Carlos who filled the four hour journey to and from Luxor with calmness and precision driving, even timing the journey home spot on so we were able to experience the sunset over the mountains we had seen 12 hours earlier! A perfect photo to end a perfect day!
Diolch Mark and Carlos - if anyone has an opportunity to ask for a guide and driver, we would definitely recommend these two amazing members of our now ‘extended family!’ - five stars

We had a very pleasant...
We had a very pleasant private trip to Luxor and really enjoyed the whole experience. Our driver took us safely to Luxor and back to Hurghada, which was especially appreciated considering the long journey.
Our guide, Ahmed, was very knowledgeable and made sure we learned a lot about Egyptian history and the places we visited. He was friendly, informative and happy to answer our questions.
The meal included in the trip was good, and the short boat trip on the River Nile was the icing on the cake — especially in the heat of the day! It was a lovely way to cool down and enjoy the scenery.
Overall, a very enjoyable and well-organised trip. We would definitely recommend it.

Amazing from start to finish!!!
What's can I say.... well it was the perfect day. My son who is 12 and myself were treated like VIPs all day long. Never felt so special.
Our driver Yusuf arrived on time and he went above and beyond getting us breakfast and drinks and an ice cream each twice during the day. I felt safe on our journey from Hurghada to Luxor and back again and he was amazing with my son and treated him like a friend all day. He opened my door for me at every stop like a gentleman.
Now our guide Professor Mark. He now had a forever place in both mine and my sons hearts. His knowledge and the way he treated us like family was truly beautiful. He made sure that the tour was best suited to my sons needs and if tou get the chance and have children with you go to banana island and meet the people and animals that live there so so special. If you meet Mark you will know what I mean about the knowledge he has and the way nothing is too much even allowing me to use his WiFi hot spot to contact my husband. I now feel I have a friend for life. I wish him and his family health wealth and happiness.
Book this trip you shall not regret it.

Luxor dagbezoek
We hadden een absoluut fantastische dag op onze Luxor tour gisteren. De route was goed georganiseerd en bood een geweldige mix van geschiedenis, cultuur en ontspanning. Een bezoek aan de Vallei der Koningen was een onvergetelijke ervaring, en de riviercruise langs de Nijl was een mooie manier om het landschap te genieten. Banana Island was een leuke en ontspannen stop, en het bezoek aan de basaltfabriek was echt interessant en gaf ons de kans om lokaal vakmanschap te zien.
Onze gids, Samira, maakte de hele ervaring nog beter. Ze was ongelooflijk vriendelijk, vriendelijk en gastvrij gedurende de dag. Haar kennis van de Egyptische geschiedenis was uitstekend, en ze legde alles uit op een manier die zowel boeiend als gemakkelijk te begrijpen was. Ze was altijd blij om vragen te beantwoorden, zorgde voor iedereen in de groep en zorgde ervoor dat we hadden een plezierige ervaring van begin tot eind.
Een grote dank ook aan onze chauffeur, die ons veilig naar elke bestemming en maakte de lange reis comfortabel.
We zouden deze tour ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die Hurghada of Luxor bezoekt. Het was een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding, boordevol geweldige ervaringen en nog specialer gemaakt dankzij Samira's passie en expertise. Vijf sterren!

Professor Ahmad Elsisi...
Professor Ahmad Elsisi was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and easy to understand throughout the entire tour. His passion for Egyptian history and his engaging explanations made every site come alive. A special thank you as well to our driver, Bob, who was professional, friendly, and made the journey between sites safe, comfortable, and stress-free. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Egypt.

Franchement c’était magique, Maria est la plus gentille des guides que l’on ai rencontré, et pourtant on voyage beaucoup. Toujours le sourire, disponible, et connaît parfaitement son sujet.
Le site est époustouflant, la balade en bateau sur le Nil mémorable. Cette journée restera à jamais gravé dans notre mémoire.
Les chauffeurs sont aussi au top, et aux petits soins pour nous. Le restaurant typique choisi est aussi génial.
Ma femme et mes enfants ont adoré, c’est un 10/10

Perfekter Tag in Luxor
Wir wurden von unserem Fahrer David pünktlich abgeholt. Er hat uns immer mit Wasser auf dem Weg nach Luxor versorgt. In Luxor hat der Guide Osama Mohawes die Tour mit uns gemacht. Osama hat uns sehr gut und unterhaltsam informiert. Er ist ganz individuell auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen, damit wir einen besonderen Tag in Luxor erleben. Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht und wir können Legacy, Osama Mohawes und David sehr empfehlen danke an das super Team, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wunderbare Tour in Luxor
Wir wurden sehr pünktlich von unserem sehr netten Fahrer David abgeholt. Er hat mit uns auf dem Weg nach Luxor mehrere Pausen gemacht und hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir immer trinken haben. In Luxor angekommen hat uns der Guide Osama Mohawes in Empfang genommen. Er hat uns alles sehr gut erklärt und ist auf all unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Nach Bedarf konnten wir die Tour auch noch anpassen, Osama hat uns immer Alternativen angeboten um diese Tour für uns zu etwas besonderem zu machen. Fazit: eine Tour mit Legacy Tours, Osama Mohawes und unseren Fahrer David: ganz klare Empfehlung! Danke für alles

Uitstapje naar Vallei der Koningen.
We hebben vandaag een uitstekende dag gehad met onze gids professor Ahmed Elsisi. We gingen naar de vallei der koningen , Tempel van Hatsjepsoet en Kolossen van Memnon . Hij was zeer informatief en ging in veel detail op onze tours. Hij was vriendelijk en beantwoordde alle vragen die we stelden. Ik zou deze tour zeker aanraden vooral met professor Ahmed Elsisi.
