The Best Day trip you can get for Luxor
What a fantastic trip and place to visit. If you are staying in Hurghada then make time for this trip.
An early 5am start but well worth it. We set off as a couple in a car, no waiting for others to turn up. Two stops on the way for comfort and a coffee and we were in Luxor. We picked up pour guide, El Tayeb, if he’s available ask for him, best guide I’ve ever booked, what he doesn’t know about Egypt hasn’t been discovered yet.
The Valley of the Kings is everything you expect, busy but well worth the trip in itself. We then headed to see the most amazing temples, all the while our driver supplying us with cold drinks to combat the hot sun.
A quick visit to the Alabaster factory to see how they made the carvings and vases in the traditional way, low pressure selling and you can even haggle a bit if you want to.
Lunch was a buffet restaurant by the Nile, take the chance to use the toilet as its on the the boat trip. A short trip up the Nile to see various sights before being dropped off the other side. Met by the driver we headed for the best , for last, the Temple of Karnak. The scale is breathtaking and El Tayeb gave us all the information about its construction and the amazing carvings.
Our driver took as back to Hurghada and a long day was complete

Amazing trip
My visit to Luxor, especially the Valley of the Kings, was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. Our driver was absolutely amazing—punctual, professional, and made the ride incredibly smooth and comfortable.
But the true highlight was our tour guide. Full of knowledge, passion, and charisma, they brought ancient history to life with every step. Their explanations were insightful and engaging, making each temple and tomb even more awe-inspiring. I walked away with a deep appreciation for Egyptian history, thanks to their expertise.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Egypt—it was a truly unforgettable experience!

Day well spent exploring ancient Egyptian history
We had a wonderful day at Luxor. Though it’s an early start, everything went smoothly with the ride from Hurghada to Luxor where Ahmed Elsisi met us before we started the tour of the ancient Egyptian sites. Ahmed is a very knowledgeable and took us through history and provided us with deep insights. He’s very patient and answered all our questions. As we had a private tour, we managed to see everything but didn’t feel pressured and could spend time just exploring. Besides the Valley of the Kings, we visited the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Karnak Temple. We had a nice boat ride on the Nile after a tasty lunch. We definitely recommend this tour.

10/10!!
This trip deserves a 10/10!
The entire day was perfectly planned. We left our hotel at 5 a.m. and arrived at the Valley of the Kings before 9 a.m., with a couple of stops along the way. Our driver was very friendly and drove safely. The car was comfortable, with air conditioning and cold drinks provided.
Our guide, Samira, was fantastic! Knowledgeable, kind, and passionate about the history she shared with us. We had lunch at a lovely restaurant, and the food was delicious! We ended the day with a relaxing boat ride on the Nile, surrounded by beautiful scenery.
I would 100% recommend this experience. And let me say, having a private tour is a total game changer!

Hurghada to Luxor day trip
We booked a private day trip to Luxor and were picked up from our the Rixos hotel at 5am in a really comfortable vehicle. After being met in Luxor by our fantastic guide, Ahmed Elsisi, we were first taken to the Valley of the Kings. We have two teenage daughters and they really loved this trip and learned a lot from Ahmed’s stories and knowledge. The rest of the day involved a visit to the Temple of Hatshepsut and to the incredible Karnak. Also, in between a nice lunch in a really authentic cafe and a great boat trip on the Nile which was longer and better than we had hoped for. Just our family, Ahmed and the captain! I would thoroughly recommend this trip to get away from your pool and see some of the most amazing parts of Egypt. Ahmed was a really great guide and even took photos from his phone and later sent them to us. His knowledge and friendliness really made our day and made the day an unforgettable experience. Thankyou Ahmed. Shukran!

Great day, not to be missed if youre in Hurghada! Do it with Ahmed.
What a great day, fun filled and packed with all we could ask for. Ahmed Elsisi was a terrific guide. He directed us to the best places to see the best things, he gave great insight at just the right level. He was fun too!
Being just us three is a private car was great, I wasnt enamored with the driver on his phone, but we did a tour to Giza with this company last week and the driver was much better... overall though we felt safe and cared for, saw all we wanted to and more and Ahmed especially made it a great day
Trust me, doing it privately is worth the extra cost! So glad we were not stuck in a group going round the tours!!
