Saqqara Dashur and Memphis…..don’t miss:-)
10 out of 10, the visit to Saqqara, Dashur and Memphis was something we’ll always remember. Our tour guide Wael was knowledgeable friendly and made the experience fun and educational at the same time. He took time to explain, in detail, the historical, architectural, archeological and philosophical meanings behind the ancient Egyptian structures.
Having. a personal interest in Ancient Egypt Wael answered all questions including the ones about recent Egyptian history and politics.
From the pick up to the end of the day he looked after us and made comfortable. For any tourist visiting Cairo a tour to Saqqara, Dashur and Memphis is a must and is often overlooked because of the Giza Pyramids and The Sphinx.
Finally a big thank you to Wael and his driver (his car was more modern than the others and very comfortable) for making this a special trip.

Must do day with Mostafa
We had the absolute best experience with Mostafa on our tour of Saqqara, Memphis, and the Dashur pyramids. He is by far the most knowledgeable and engaging guide we’ve ever had! Not only did he bring history to life with fascinating insights, but he also made sure we truly understood and appreciated what we were seeing.
What stood out most is that he’s not just a guide, he’s genuinely passionate about helping you learn, making the day feel meaningful as well as enjoyable. On top of that, he’s an incredible person. Very kind, attentive, and easy to spend the day with.
If you want a guide who will go above and beyond to ensure you’re educated, inspired, and well looked after, ask for Mostafa by name. We couldn’t recommend him more highly!

Ibrahim Allam was the perfect guide if you want a peaceful trip
We did 2 trips with Ibrahim Allam - Saqqara, Memphis & Dahshur and pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Both trips were excellent and tailored to what we requested: (1) Avoid crowd as much as possible. He crafted the orders/explanation based on the crowd we observed so that we could enjoy with less crowd & noise, (2) "hidden" path while giving nice viewing spots for pictures. Really well done. (3) Skip the tourist shops as we have no interest and we want to have longer time in the historical sites. (4) never rush us and always accommodate all of our questions. He really delivered beyond his clock. (5) 100% punctuality for the pick up time that was super early

Een prachtige dag in het oude Egypte met onze gids, Ibrahim
Vandaag was een ongelooflijke dag, vol geschiedenis, leren en onvergetelijke ervaringen — allemaal dankzij onze geweldige gids, Ibrahim.
We begonnen de dag met een bezoek aan Dahshur, waar we de Rode Piramide en de fascinerende Gebogen Piramide verkenden. Het was echt indrukwekkend om voor deze oude bouwwerken te staan en je de techniek erachter voor te stellen.
Na Dahshur gingen we naar Memphis, de oude hoofdstad van Egypte. Daar zagen we het kolossale standbeeld van Ramses II, evenals de tweede - grootste bekende sfinx in Egypte, beide absoluut verbluffende stukken geschiedenis.
Onze volgende stop was Saqqara, waar we een van de oudste piramides binnengingen en de in de muren gekerfde hiërogliefen bewonderden. We bezochten ook de Saqqara necropolis en stonden vol ontzag voor de Step Pyramid van Djoser, die gewoon spectaculair was.
Na onze bezoeken hebben we genoten van een heerlijke lunch in een prachtig lokaal restaurant. Later vergezelde Ibrahim ons vriendelijk naar een kledingwinkel zodat we wat boodschappen konden doen.
Gedurende de hele ervaring, werden we voortdurend aangeboden koud water, vruchtensappen en koekjes, die vooral werd gewaardeerd tijdens de warme augustus weer. De airconditioning voertuig was ook een zegen en maakte elke overdracht tussen sites veel comfortabeler.
Ibrahim is niet alleen een deskundig Egyptoloog, maar ook iemand die echt gepassioneerd is door de Egyptische geschiedenis. Hij deelde de hele dag ontelbare inzichten met ons, en we hebben echt zoveel geleerd. Hij maakte ons helemaal op ons gemak voelen - als familie. We grapten zelfs dat hij voelde als een vader figuur voor ons vanwege hoe warm, vriendelijk en attent hij was.
We raden Ibrahim van harte aan iedereen die Egypte bezoekt. Als je de kans hebt om met hem op ontdekkingstocht te gaan, neem die dan – je zult er geen spijt van krijgen.
En natuurlijk ook een grote dank aan onze chauffeur, die ons veilig en comfortabel van plaats naar plaats bracht.

Een geweldige tour
We hadden een geweldige dag met onze gids, Wael en chauffeur, Zakrya op onze reis naar Saqqara. Wael heeft een kalme en stille houding over hem. Hij heeft uitgebreide kennis over de geschiedenis van de piramides. Hij gaf ons tal van opties gedurende de dag en zette ons niet onder druk in een van hen. Hij heeft een diepe band met de historische monumenten en toont vriendelijkheid aan alle mensen. Het eindigde allemaal met een heerlijke maaltijd. Wat een dag!

Heerlijke ervaring! Een aanrader voor geschiedenisliefhebbers!
Aberham was een ongelooflijk goed geïnformeerde en behulpzame gids die er altijd voor zorgde dat mijn comfort werd verzorgd. Veel nuttige en interessante informatie over de sites, en een grote persoonlijkheid! Zou deze tour ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die geïnteresseerd is in Egyptische oude koninkrijk geschiedenis en piramidebouw. Piramides bij dashur en saqqara zijn veel minder druk dan die bij Gizeh, het zien van Memphis, de oudste hoofdstad ter wereld, was absoluut geweldig. Sterk aanbevolen, zou beoordelen 6 / 5 als ik kon.

Een aanrader!
Wael & Omar waren geweldig! Wael was ongelooflijk informatief en meegaand voor alle vragen die we hadden. Hij toonde een diep begrip voor Egyptologie wat geweldig was. Hij liet ons ook weten van eventuele oplichting in het gebied dat was super behulpzaam en als je wilt de perfecte foto weet hij precies waar ze te nemen. Omar onze chauffeur had koud water op ons te wachten in de auto, evenals de airconditioning draait, die zeker een must in de zomer was. Zou deze tour zeker aanraden maar vooral met deze twee : )

Great experience with Ahmed, these sites are not to be missed!
We loved this tour! Ahmed was an outstanding guide, very detailed and passionate. It almost felt like being in an Egyptology class with a great teacher. The sites are truly remarkable and atmospheric, and Ahmed always made sure we had enough time to properly explore and savour them after his explanations. He also explained his point of view on ancient technology, but always professionally, after illustrating the official research. He also helped us book two additional tours in Luxor on the spot. Finally, we had a delicious lunch.
