Saqqara necropolis, serapeum and associated pyramids.
Very interesting full day tour to the Saqqara Necropolis, including the Serapeum and associated pyramids (step pyramid, bent pyramid, etc.). We entered quite a few tombs that required unlocking by a caretaker in order to gain entrance. Saqqara, to me is more interesting than the Giza plateau pyramids. A day trip to Saqqara is, in my opinion the best full day tour from Cairo. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and knew his way around the complex. Well worth a return visit, highly recommended.

Smooth and Enjoyable Tour
Overall, this was a very good tour and a great way to see multiple pyramids in one day. The itinerary was well planned, and we were able to visit several important sites without feeling rushed. The tour guides were attentive to our requests and flexible with timing, which made the experience much more enjoyable. Transportation and overall service were good, and everything ran smoothly. A solid experience and a good choice for anyone wanting to explore the pyramids and tombs

Great tour day
Tivemos um excelente dia de tour com nosso guia Ahmed e o motorista que nos acompanhou. Eles nos buscaram bem cedo no Airbnb e, desde o início, foram muito atenciosos, explicando tudo o que visitaríamos durante o dia. Em Saqqara, visitamos atrações impressionantes como a Pirâmide Vermelha, a Pirâmide de Degraus (Djoser) e o Serapeum.
Em cada parada, o guia nos explicou detalhadamente a mitologia e a história local. Depois, seguimos para Memphis, a antiga capital egípcia. Para fechar o dia, visitamos lojas típicas onde aprendemos sobre a produção de papiro, óleos essenciais e perfumes. O guia e o motorista nos acompanharam com muita paciência e profissionalismo. Foi uma experiência muito positiva e eu recomendo muito.

Wael was born and raised in Giza city. His knowledge of the history and local life is amazing. Very good English, punctuality and safety are priority. As a local, he is able to protect the clients from scammers around.
The service is very personal and we became good friends at the and of the day. We hired him for additional tours in Gaza and Cairo. Very recommended.

Geweldig bezoek aan piramides, tempels, mastaba's en graven (en je kunt ook de woestijn een beetje bewonderen)
Fantastische tour langs twee piramide sites, plus de overblijfselen van de tempel van Ptah van Memphis. Ahmed was een geweldige gids met veel kennis. Ousama, de chauffeur sprak ook heel goed Engels, wat van groot voordeel was toen we in een file kwamen door een gesprongen waterleiding.
Ik zag de binnenkant van beide piramides bij Dahshur, evenals de grote kolos van Ramses.
Eenmaal in Saqqara gaf Ahmed me de keuze welke plekken ik wilde zien. Omdat ik alles wilde zien wat er te zien is kregen we een combinatie van tickets, plus extra tickets voor de steppiramide van Djoser, en het zuidelijke graf. Doe zeker de buitenkant van de trappiramides.
Elk van de andere sites had zeer interessante dingen te zien, ik persoonlijk vond de Mastaba van Meneruka, het graf van Kagemni, en de piramide van Teti, en het graf van Ty. Zoveel fresco's, en schilderijen te bewonderen.
Ondanks het zien van zoveel dingen, voelde ik me niet gehaast, en we slaagden er nog steeds in om terug te zijn in het hotel rond 16:00.

Good Tour of the 3 Oldest Pyramids & Saqqara Tombs & Serapeum
Overall, a good tour of the 3 oldest pyramids, the tombs at Saqqara, and the statues at Memphis. The tour started a little awkwardly, because my solo trip was combined with another English speaking family of 3 who had the same itinerary. The 4 of us shared the driver in a mini van and the tour guide Ahmed. I didn’t mind my tour being combined with other Americans, but it was not communicated before pickup at my hotel and I was not given any discount after paying full price for a “Private” tour. That being said, Ahmed was a good guide and very passionate and knowledgeable. I struggled at times to understand Ahmed’s English and follow his complicated explanations for the sites. My focus would drift away when I couldn’t follow what he was talking about. We started at Dahshur, where I felt a bit rushed at the Red & Bent pyramids. But the family I was with wanted to see more tombs at Saqqara, and that was really interesting too. We also saw the Serapeum at Saqqara, which was fascinating and mind blowing to understand. We had a late lunch after Saqqara closed at about 4:00. The food was pretty good and the cost included in my tour package. In summary, I think this is a good tour that just needs a bit of fine tuning to be a great tour. But I definitely recommend it. Honestly, Saqqara on its own is a day trip. And the Dahshur pyramids with Memphis is probably a day trip too. If I go again, I would break this one day up into two days.
