Nous avons bien bien été à Louxor au départ du Jaz Lamaya près de port ghalib en voiture privée. 2 chauffeurs que pour nous ,le top !!! Et c était nécessaire 5 heures aller ,idem retour. Le voyage passe vite ,on voit du paysage. Un bémol où on nous a arrêté à 1/2 chemin pour une pause arnaque ,3 euros le café instantané pour touriste .Plus cher , qu en France ! La guide était bien francophone, ce qui n est pas toujours évident. Elle était de bon conseil et pas omniprésente et agréable. Un bémol aussi car par 2 moments, elle nous a emmené ds des boutiques en partenariat avec l agence, encore des pièges à touristes. Mais il y avait pas de forcing pour acheter. Le repas était un buffet ds un restaurant local , simple mais bon . Les visites étaient extras et la guide et les chauffeurs étaient flexible. On est parti à 4 heures du matin, retour 22 heures, très fatigué mais sans regrets , on conseille marsa alam tour !

This trip was absolutely worth the long drive. We had a good time with our guide Mohamed Ali. He knows everything there is to know about Egypt and his history. We can recommend! There is room for exploring and taking pictures.

Cannot recommend this enough! Fantastic time. Both the driver and tour guide were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Very reasonable price, especially for a solo tour and the vehicle quality and cleanliness was high. Very safe as a single lady and moved at a comfortable pace with all the key sites covered. Definitely recommend the nile cruise with additional small payment. Gives you a whole new view of luxor and provides relief from the sun and heat which can be intense at times. Sameh my tour guide spoke very good English and told me a great deal about the sites. It was also wonderful to have a female guide as a solo female visitor. My driver took me to a real Egyptian city to have a drink and fruit amongst the locals which I also very much enjoyed and got a taste of real egypt. Once again many thanks and I have recommended to all my English friends.

I’ve decided to visit two famous temples located north of Luxor together with my mum, as both of us have visited Luxor and Western Thebes in the past. It was a great choice. Both temples are beautifully preserved with some of the most impressive reliefs to be seen anywhere in Egypt. I particularly enjoyed seeing Dendera temple dedicated to goddess Hathor - mostly because it remains largely intact, with a great stone roof and mighty columns, dark chambers, magical underground crypts and twisting stairways, all covered with hieroglyphs. Our guide Mamdouh, was very knowledgeable and willing to go an extra mile to give us a detailed information about these wonderful temples and to help us understand the history behind them. It was a very enjoyable and inspirational one day trip from Marsa Alam. We are both looking forward to returning to The Valley of the Nile, hopefully in not too distant future.

Premessa d'obbligo: viaggio in famiglia (2 adulti + 2 bambini, 7 e 3 anni). Avevamo una gran voglia di andare a Luxor, ma eravamo preoccupati per la nostra piccola di 3 anni (alloggiavamo in un resort dove all'interno proponevano escursioni organizzate da un'agenzia partner, e per arrivare a Luxor il resort organizzava un pullmann collettivo, durata del viaggio circa 6 ore andata + 6 ore ritorno). Per questo motivo ho cercato per conto mio un'agenzia alternativa che organizzasse un tour privato, con maggiore possibilità di modificare gli appuntamenti della giornata in base alle esigenze della piccola. E devo dire che ne sono pienamente soddisfatto!!! Organizzazione ottima, al nostro hotel è venuto a prenderci alle 5 del mattino un autista privato in mini van (noi eravamo in 4 e in auto c'era posto per 9! Quindi massima comodità durante il viaggio). All'andata ci sono volute 4 ore per arrivare a Luxor, i bambini hanno dormito gran parte del tempo. All'arrivo a Luxor abbiamo incontrato la nostra guida, il gentilissimo e preparatissimo Mohi (credo si scriva cosi), archeologo egiziano che parlava benissimo italiano. È stata la nostra guida personalissima tutto il giorno, pronto a rispondere alle tante domande che avevamo!! Ad ogni sito che abbiamo visitato avevamo il nostro minivan pronto ad aspettarci, quindi minimo stress rispetto all'escursione collettiva organizzata dal resort! Dopo la giornata passata a vedere i tanti monumenti spettacolari di Luxor, alle 16 siamo ripartiti nel nostro minivan per tornare in hotel. Unico neo della giornata: al ritorno ci abbiamo impiegato 5 ore e non 4, credo che l'autista abbia confuso una strada... ma se consideriamo che i turisti che hanno fatto la nostra stessa escursione ma collettiva in pullman ci hanno impiegato 6 ore e 30 per rientrare, allora anche qui non ho nulla da ridire!! Insomma esperienza fantastica, Luxor è un posto eccezionale che ti fa davvero respirare l'essenza degli antichi egizi (molto più bello delle piramidi del Cairo che pure abbiamo visitato)!!! Quindi escursione da consigliare assolutamente, nonostante la distanza da marsa alam. Ennesima nota positiva il prezzo: rispetto agli altri ospiti dell'hotel che hanno fatto la stessa escursione ma collettiva in pullmann con tempi di viaggio e di attesa ben più lunghi (immaginate quanto tempo si aspetti ad esempio affinché vadano al bagno 40 persone), noi abbiamo pagato solo 25 euro in più rispetto a quanto avrei dovuto pagare per tutti e 4 con il resort!!! E ci stanno tutti per il servizio personalizzato ottenuto! Quindi la consiglio vivamente, l'agenzia è seria e il viaggio è sicuro!
