We went twice, two days in a row, and also saw the Giza pyramids. We hired a private guide, Yasmin, from Viator (Miche?) the first day and our Globus guide went with us the next day when we had time to explore more. It is huge, beautiful, and has all the good stuff that used to be in the Cairo Museum. Up close to that statue of Rameses, you'll get to see such beautiful engravings and details you can't imagine from just looking at photos. It is probably the best tourist place in Egypt. Busy but the entries are timed so you don't feel overwhelmed.

Our guide Mona was an amazing person and very knowledgeable too. She helped us with the baby’s changing and feeding times as well. We needed to take everything slow and she did exactly that. Overall a great experience. Mona went out of her way to make our experience comfortable and stress free.

I spent the day with Amal and the driver. Amal was an amazing, very knowledgeable, open, thoughtful and diligent guide who provided a wonderful experience during our day-long visit to the pyramids at Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum. It was like spending a day with a great young friend, although we never met before. I wish all tours had a guide and provided a wonderful experience like provided by Amal.

We had a fantastic day. We were staying in New Cairo and there was no fuss in picking us up. Our driver Hijazi ensured we were hydrated throughout the day. On our way back my ten year old and I fell asleep and he drove the car like silk so that we don’t wake up till we reach the hotel. Our Guide was Mohammed Waheed. He was very patient with my kid and kept him engaged in this almost 10 hour tour. He took wonderful pictures of us, and gave us enough time to wander around. We went inside the Great Pyramid ( separate ticket ) and it is definitely not for the faint hearted. It’s humid and hot inside and a lot of crawling, bending and walking in inclinations. For lunch we went to a local restaurant and tried Egyptian cuisine (Koshary). And I loved the food. Then for some shopping where you have to do serious bargaining. The Grand Egyptian Museum is grand in every sense of the term. Without a guide you will be lost in the million plus objects I believe they have. Tuts treasures are of course the highlight but the museum itself is jaw dropping.

I had an incredible full-day tour of Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum with Mohammed, and it exceeded all expectations. Mohammed is an outstanding guide; extremely knowledgeable, detailed, and engaging. I nicknamed him “Professor” because he handled my complex questions with ease, a great sense of humor, and the ability to connect history with contemporary times in a very meaningful way. He is also an excellent photographer and knew all the best spots for photos. On top of that, he has a great eye for food ; lunch was excellent and he skillfully negotiated fair prices for my souvenirs, always giving honest and sincere advice. What truly stood out was his kindness and professionalism. I felt like I spent the day with a good friend. At the end of the tour, he stayed with me in the hotel lobby until my booking was fully confirmed and he was sure I was safe and comfortable. Mohammed is more than a tour guide. He is a true professional and a wonderful human being. Highly recommended. Well done, Mohammed!
