Great day trip

Great trip overall - Ahmed the driver and Said the guide are really passionate about their country and history. They were both good company and easy to talk to. Ahmed really made an effort to get us to Karnak early so we had a quiet tour before the crowds arrived. The guided tour of the historic sites by Said was very interesting with a lot of detail on the history and pharaohs. It was really interesting getting to see the lives of the Egyptians as we drove through the countryside and the cities. Plenty of drinks offered on the minibus and didn’t feel unsafe despite some of the others drivers on the road! Lunch wasn’t amazing but it was decent enough although basic. The only minor downside of a day that was otherwise excellent.

Go with the Best!

We had a great experience with Ramashka Tours! Easy and fast communication via WhatsApp before the trip, then on the day of Ahmed picked us up at the hotel on time, and - as described in all other reviews - got us to the Karnak Temple complex before the crowds. The van was comfortable, with WiFi, charging ports, reading lights, and even pillows, drinks and snacks for our convenience. Ahmed was very friendly and kept us occupied the whole trip, chatting and playing several videos and movies on a huge and very bright screen. The sound system in the van was so good we had to request to turn the volume down! Ahmed also got us ice cream, some delicious small bananas, and sugar cane juice. Driving in Egypt is definitely an experience but despite numerous checkpoints and insane traffic Ahmed kept us on time the whole day. In fact, we got back to our hotel around 19:00, with plenty of time to spare for dinner service. Our tour guide was Said, he met us in Luxor at the Karnak Temple. He provided lots and lots of information about the pharaohs, the dynasties, the gods and the meaning of the hieroglyphs at all the sites. We wouldn’t have gotten half out of it without him providing all the background. He was thorough, informative and got us in and out all sites with zero delays and ahead of many other groups. Make sure to bring cash for the Nile River boat ride, hats, sunscreen, and lots of water. It will be a long day but way worth it.

Good tour except Nile boat ride

The tour was well arranged. The transferring car was comfortable with drinks and Wi-Fi. The driver and guide were friendly except pushing too hard to ask us to write a good review on the way back to the hotel. The Nile boat ride of 25 Euros two persons for 30 mins was not worth it, should have been skipped.

Fabuleux

THANKS. Exceptional day, the visit is perfectly organized. Saïd the guide explains and takes you back in time. Ahmed drives you, he is caring and really takes care of you. Don’t hesitate, it’s magical. +++++++++++++++

Tour Ok, but scams and beggin.

Tour was good, but getting carried to two scam shops did Put everything in a Bad Standing. Take the tour but never pay for anything in the tour, except a boat drive across the nile. Literally everywhere and by everyone youll get asked for Money. Only Tip deservers are the drivers who are willing to drive for 6 hours. Would be a 4 Star review without the scam Papyrus and Stone Shops.

Great experience

The driver Achmed was excellent we got to karnak in good time before the larger crowds arrived. And he provided some local history of other landmarks on the way to Luxor. The Tour guide Said was fantastic as we went to the different sites and provided a day we won't forget.

Habibi Crocodiles. London. UK

I travelled to Luxor today, 28/11/24 with my partner and daughter. We were picked up by Ahmed who was our driver for the day. He was prompt, catered to our every need and made sure we were at our destinations before all of the queues. He thought of everything that we may need throughout the day. Water, fizzy, snacks, ice cream and raw sugar cane. He showed us sights along the journey sugar cane plantations, banana island and he played information on a tv in his van. The van had free WiFi, had charging ports and air conditioning. The vehicle was clean, comfortable and had reclining seats with cushions provided. We met Siad in Luxor who was our tour guide for the day. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, joked with us and advised us on how to avoid being hassled by the local sellers. He made sure we understood everything and was always willing to answer any questions. We arrived back at our hotel at 7.30 pm in time for dinner. What a wonderful day.
