Hot Air Ballooning + Private Day Tour of Luxor
The hot air ballooning experience was well worth the 3am start! Definitely would recommend the experience - HodHod Soliman is the oldest hot air ballooning company in Luxor and their pilots were confident and capable. The whole operation - from early morning hotel pick up to boat transfer to launch site was efficient. But there was a hiccup between the end of ballooning and the start of the tour - we waited for 1.5 hours without knowing who would come pick us up. Eventually the guide Mahmoud Issa found us (we both didn’t have each other’s contacts) and things were resolved - thanks to Marina at Nice Tours, who was very helpful and reassuring via text. Issa was great - charming, knowledgable, accommodating, fun. We had a great day out seeing Luxor’s sites.

The tour was great from the beginning. Our very nice driver, Bola, made the car ride to Luxor enjoyable. Everything was well organized and the tour included many highlights. Before and during the tour it was easy to communicate with the organizer, Zeinab. She also informed us during the trip. David was a great and well informed guide. He told us a lot of interesting things. He also arranged a boat trip on the Nile for us. It is really worth doing the 2-day trip because air balloon was something really special and we are happy that we didn't miss that. we can really recommend this tour.
