This was the most immersive and diverse food tour I have ever been on. Magy was an amazing tour guide that did a superb job showing us the real Cairo / Giza through so many great stops for food and excellent meals from breakfast to street foods then dinner and finally dessert!! I felt incredibly safe with Magy and after the first stop knew I was in for some unique and delicious food. Definitely recommend for all travelers who are looking to explore past the tourist areas and really learn how an Egyptian lives and eats

We had an absolutely amaaaazing food tour with Mila at Cairo Food tours! Our group of 9 adults and children went all over the local areas where Cairenes hang out and eat/drink. Felt like we had way more than 30 items as she stopped at a whole bunch of fruit stands and other things we wanted to try. She was such a pleasure for our entire group and she went out of her way to accommodate to our kids wishes. Thank you Mila for a wonderful night of food, drinks and dessert!!!

If you are wanting a truly extraordinary and unforgettable experience- this is it! Magy is an absolute delight. We were brought to a neighborhood in Cairo completely off the tourist radar, where the real people of Cairo live and work. We were lucky enough to visit during the big preparations for the upcoming EID festivals . We sampled an unbelievable array of dishes- breakfast treats, snacks, bakery items, meats, Egyptian pizza (so delicious) sauces, dips, and unique refreshing drinks. We finished the evening with an array of yummy Egyptian pastries. My favorite, “spoiled” layers of crispy pastry, cream and caramel. Throughout the evening, Magy, brought us to one unique place after another explaining the history and significance of each dish. All of the local people were so lovely and welcoming. A remarkable evening which we will never forget P.s. wear stretch pants as you will be tasting a lot!

We had an amazing time on this experience! We visited local parts of the city and got to learn about the local food and culture with our knowledgeable guide, Sarah. She was very passionate about her job and answered all our questions in detail. The food we had was all very tasty and offered a huge variety. We were so full that we could barely eat anything at the last few stops, but we were satisfied just watching how the food was made. Thank you, Sarah, and TheamazingTourist, for an unforgettable evening!

Notre guide Amal était génial! Elle nous a rencontrés à notre hôtel et nous a emmenés dans plusieurs restaurants pour nous présenter différents aliments égyptiens. À chaque arrêt, elle expliquait ce que nous mangeions, comment il était fait, comment il est mangé, et la signification culturelle de cela. Elle nous a commandé tellement de nourriture que nous ne pouvions pas tout manger! Et encore plein des heures plus tard au dîner! Elle n'était pas seulement bien informée, elle était une compagne amusante de déjeuner! Je recommande vivement cette visite!

We had a fantastic experience with Magy on our Cairo street food tour. Everything was perfectly on time, and from the very beginning, Magy made us feel comfortable and welcome. She took us to a part of the city rarely visited by tourists, which gave the tour a truly authentic and local feel. The itinerary was excellent, and the selection of food spots was clearly very thoughtfully curated. We began with a place serving traditional Egyptian breakfast, followed by a visit to a local bakery, vibrant street food stalls, a small restaurant serving hearty lunch dishes, a stop for refreshing local drinks, and finally – delicious Egyptian desserts. It was a unique experience that gave us real insight into Egyptian cuisine. Without Magy’s knowledge, passion, and guidance, we would never have discovered the hidden culinary gems of Cairo. Highly recommended!

My partner and I booked the evening option of this tour because we wanted to explore local life in Egypt, not just try some food. The tour was exactly what we were looking for. We walked through the bustling streets of Cairo and our guide Sarah was very knowledgeable and engaging. We learned alot about Egyptian lifestyle and tasted tons of different dishes!
